06/09/2025: We went to Barbanera for dinner today, September 6, 2025. An experience to forget, left to our own devices. The grilled fish was embarrassing. I've never seen anything like it. 17 euros for a tiny piece of fish and a skewer of shrimp. It was incredibly sad! The other diners also had broken squid, just four tiny pieces on their plates. A mind-blowing price for that miserable dinner. I honestly feel like I was being taken for a ride. NEVER AGAIN!!!

01/11/2025: We were walking by looking for a quick lunch. The friendly owners were behind the counter and served us pizza, ham and cheese in a pastry, cannoli with cream and gelato. All were delicious. I asked where they had all their baking done and discovered he does it ALL himself! Prego! (and the Duomo across the street is amazing)

23/10/2025: Great welcome from Mario, small bar right next to the cathedral, where you can eat quickly! Mario is very helpful and speaks French! Pleasant place right in front of the magnificent Enna cathedral

04/07/2025: Given that we have already used this structure years ago as a base to then continue the trip, this year we changed because the last time we did not like the room, it would need more maintenance. As for the restaurant we have always had a good time, this year we returned for dinner, really disappointed, spaghetti allo scoglio that were swimming in oil and inedible mixed fry, a cold appetizer incomplete compared to what was written on the menu, annoyed staff and not very attentive to the customer, never to see each other again.

25/06/2025: The service was slow but very friendly and helpful and we had some nice conversation with the waiter. There was also a cute cat. But the food was not good. The appetizers were the best part. But the pasta was overcooked and bland. You could feel the porcini were frozen (maybe in other places they are also frozen in this time of the year but it can’t be immediately sensed so they are either better kept or bettter seasoned). The arrostisci were okaish but I bought better ones in the supermarket the next day. And tiramisu was like gummy-like and had some frozen parts.

28/07/2025: The setting was stunning, the view magnificent. Slow service, but the real sore point was the food. Poorly cooked, poor quality food. It's a shame, because in the past it was a guarantee.

20/10/2025: An embarrassing inability to respond to customer requests. Terrible service: slow and uncoordinated. You order an aperitif and they don't even bring you two chips; you ask for them (and pay for them!) and they forget them, repeatedly. Ridiculous and annoying. It's a place for kids who don't understand anything and at most order a simple Coke.

28/09/2025: After a work service in Piazza del Duomo, my military colleagues and I decided to order something after work.... A waiter was rude (asking if I had finished ordering, as if I was taking up his time.... Catering and hospitality don't work like that). Since it was a Sunday when there were events in the square and there were a lot of people, I went to pay giving me a larger bill and the cashier gives me back a few coins (telling me to go because I had already paid). I immediately told her that I had paid with a larger bill than shown on the receipt... she looked at me annoyed and gave me back the missing change.....(If you don't want to work properly, stay home....) Too long to bring some easily prepared hot drinks, too high prices for an aperitif or first courses....

28/10/2025: A delicious dinner, a rustic yet authentic restaurant, perfect for those who appreciate substance and interesting stories. Excellent ricotta ravioli, tasty lamb with a side of delicious chicory. A truly authentic family atmosphere. Thanks, Silvan!
