15/01/2026: DUMBLED! We went to dinner at Rocca Verde on a Saturday night with friends, remembering the days when it could still be considered an honest place. Dinner got off to a bad start: the waiter came to the table and broke the cork while opening the wine (a mistake, of course), then left the table to go and change the bottle, only to return with the exact same one, pretending to open it in front of us. Of course, we noticed, so he told us again he'd change it, then returned to the table, saying that the bottle was finished (which is why he'd tried to sell us the same bottle he'd previously opened badly, causing pieces of cork to fall inside). The appetizers arrived very quickly, I must say: two delicious fried tomini, two portions of carpaccio still very cold from the refrigerator/blast chiller, and two portions of arrosticini (the menu should have counted 30, but there were 28, which we noticed when two people at the table ate one less). We skipped the first course and instead ordered two portions of pork shank, which were very good, I must say, and two of tagliata, which were cooked well and rare as requested, but also very tough, almost chewy. We went to pay, already dissatisfied with our meal, and the waiter who had served us throughout the meal (with the attitude of someone doing you a favor, by the way) told us "50 euros each" without consulting his computer or even giving a receipt to those who had paid in cash. We leave, amazed at having spent €50 each at an agriturismo (I repeat, agriturismo, not restaurant) for an appetizer and a main course each, along with a bottle of medium-low range wine for five of us. We check the previously photographed menu, doing the math over and over again, and conclude that they had rounded up our prices by approximately €2.50 each. In conclusion (and I speak with full knowledge of the facts, having worked in restaurants for a long time and never condemning mistakes made by the dining room and kitchen, which are perfectly normal), I cannot and will not tolerate such a mockery: this shows a lack of respect for the customer, the same disrespect that allows you to work by choosing your restaurant. I will definitely never return, and I will try to keep anyone I care about away.

30/10/2025: Kebab with little sauce and served in negligible quantities, vegetables that have been out in the open for days and burnt meat that in other places they at least remove it, not among the best.

03/02/2026: This was my favorite lunch spot when I was in Ancona for work. The pizza served here is the benchmark by which I compare all other pizzas. Perhaps it's the price and the unique wood-fired oven, but I still often crave my pizza diavola!

21/02/2026: "La Canonica is a magical culinary experience! The restaurant is a temple of true cuisine, with an elegant setting and impeccable service. The staff is friendly and makes you feel at home. For this experience, we opted for meat dishes (cooked and presented to perfection), but they also offer fish dishes. The sommelier recommended a perfect red wine to accompany the dishes. The side dishes were creative and delicious, and last but not least, the dessert is a true work of art. Very fair prices, excellent portions, and high-quality ingredients. We left very, very satisfied. Highly recommended

08/02/2026: We had lunch at La Canonica and, despite a few inaccuracies and service hiccups, we had a truly wonderful time. The food is the highlight: the porchetta rabbit and the braised cheek were excellent, with the added bonus of being served with side dishes as a single course. The wine selection is also good. What makes the place special is the management: the owner and her son put their heart and soul into it, creating a lively and friendly, almost surreal atmosphere among diners who have never met before. A word of advice to the managers: pay attention to detail and timing, because not all customers are willing to overlook unexpected events attracted by your passion. Kudos to you for your hard work!

19/08/2025: I stopped here to break up the journey south and for an evening visit to Ancona. It was more than perfect for our needs. We had a triple room consisting of two well-maintained, spacious rooms with a spacious, clean bathroom. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. Excellent experience.

27/08/2025: Every year I come back and it just gets better every time. Incredibly fresh fish - especially the octopus in tomato sauce. Delicious mussels and clams, and the pasta was out of this world. Chalet Malù is the best in Marche

16/03/2025: I'll be back. I went to lunch with my son and we licked our chops! Excellent veal with tuna sauce and fried olives, excellent quality first courses and delicious dessert. Excellent wine selection, friendly and polite staff. Location furnished in good taste and a stone's throw from the main square.
