03/01/2026: An excellent restaurant offering lake, seafood, and meat dishes. Refined and beautifully presented dishes without compromising on traditional flavors. Service is warm but not intrusive. The atmosphere is welcoming and unobtrusive.

It's delicious, cheap, has a great atmosphere, and is super friendly.

Quick, pleasant sandwich. Friendly service, a bit long wait, even though it wasn't crowded. The coffee was decent, the sandwich was better.
Right prices.

02/01/2026: This was one of the best meals my wife and I had on our trip to Lake Como. It’s a little further up the road from town, so a bit of a walk but there are some public paid parking available nearby. Every part of our dinner was great, both food and drink. Hospitality/service was great. We called ahead for a reservation and were able to eat outside. Would highly recommend this place, it’s worth it if you are in Varenna/Perledo area.

02/11/2025: The service and location were good, the dishes in the kitchen could be improved, with more flavour and less spices. The cold cuts appetizer arrived covered in oil from the onions (1) and artichokes (1) placed on top of the cold cuts. For 18 euros I would have expected something better. The bottle of water at 4 euros a litre is definitely not a bargain. It's a shame, it wouldn't take much to be a good place to return to.

04/11/2025: I could have bought frozen lamb from a random supermarket and it would have tasted better than what they served. For the price they charge, it’s frankly a ripoff. What made the experience even worse was the staff’s attitude: the waiter insisted, in a rather bossy tone, that we pay one single bill, even though each of us was charged a service fee. You either apply a service fee per table or allow separate bills. You can’t have it both ways. Having lived in Italy for years, I can say I’ve rarely had such an unpleasant dining experience.

18/11/2025: A sadly outdated hotel, otherwise in a beautiful location, but with a mass-production feel.
For hours at night, there was a loud argument that kept flaring up in the hotel, which the staff failed to resolve despite guest complaints.
Also, due to the literally astronomical price-performance ratio: Never again!
13/10/2025: Gorgeous hotel with amazing views. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The two young ladies I dealt with at the concierge desk were a great help. A short ten minute walk from the train station and 5 to the ferry

18/02/2026: A fantastic 19th century place to stay right next to lake Como in Veranna. A short 900 metres from the rail station, it gives you the colonial vibes (we were travelling light with 2 carry on luggages, yet they insisted on the concierge to bring up the luggage). The rooms and the toilets are clean and well kept. The hidden gem is the bar downstairs, which is very well stocked. We were served by Andrea, who was very patient with our choices of whisky and gin. The aperitif with the drinks were very nice. There is a nice restaurant attached, and if you are late in the night (past 7 pm in the evening), this should be your place to dine. The staff are friendly. Definitely a place to stay in Veranna.

22/02/2026: The place is beautiful, but I haven't been able to see it in person because they closed at 4 pm and wouldn't let anyone else in. I think it's a disgrace; many people travel there to see it, and I don't understand why no one else can enter at 4 pm, a perfectly good time after having lunch in town.

10/10/2025: Beautiful restaurant with lake views. Outdoor seating. Excellent service (Edoardo). Dishes are well-presented, at the right temperature and texture, and delicious. Good selection of drinks and wines. I recommend booking for a good table. Prices are high, but in line with expectations. Public parking is available nearby. We entered through the hotel.
03/10/2025: The best apitivo we enjoyed during our stay in Italy. The staff were a friendly and gracious. The shared a shots of Amoro, a digestif, with us to celebrate my wife’s birthday and then brought out pastries with candles. They treated all the patrons well (both hotel guests and slubs like us) and you could see many were returning visitors.

24/10/2025: We had a beautiful evening here. My seafood SCIALATIELLI dish was so flavoursome and the salmon with pistachios was delicious. Out waiter was very efficient friendly and professional. Thank you for a memorable evening.
