01/11/2025: A very charming place with an old-world feel. The owner made us feel welcome, offering information and recommendations on food and drinks, and even exchanging a few words with us, making the experience more personal and memorable. We ate very flavorful appetizers and the inevitable risottos, perfectly cooked, very tasty, and you can find some interesting and successful pairings. A valuable note is the refined selection of quality amaro and grappa. For the host: for the next round, the risotto with young May 😉

20/08/2025: A simple but very pleasant hotel in the mountains above Lake Como. Very friendly and relaxed owners. A good pizzeria. Thank you for the short and very pleasant stay.

10/10/2025: Beautiful restaurant with lake views. Outdoor seating. Excellent service (Edoardo). Dishes are well-presented, at the right temperature and texture, and delicious. Good selection of drinks and wines. I recommend booking for a good table. Prices are high, but in line with expectations. Public parking is available nearby. We entered through the hotel.

03/10/2025: The best apitivo we enjoyed during our stay in Italy. The staff were a friendly and gracious. The shared a shots of Amoro, a digestif, with us to celebrate my wife’s birthday and then brought out pastries with candles. They treated all the patrons well (both hotel guests and slubs like us) and you could see many were returning visitors.

01/11/2025: The hotel is a little secluded, making it very quiet. The staff is always friendly, the breakfast is excellent, and there's a lovely garden with a pool. It's also a great place to relax. I've stayed there several times and always enjoy coming back.

08/12/2025: Strangely, given that I've had a wonderful time on other occasions, this time I wasn't entirely satisfied with the pizza I ate. The young, friendly staff made up for the disappointment. Maybe it was just the wrong night, which can happen to anyone.

02/12/2025: Good morning, my experience at Grotta Azzurra was wonderful. I recommend the Grotta Azzurra spaghetti; the fish is delicious. I also recommend the Roman-style pizza by the slice. Grotta Azzurra is my favorite place. Thanks to all the staff, I love you all.

Fast service, staffed by polite, friendly, and smiling young men and women who always make me feel good. The owner often delivers them during lunchtime; he's polite, kind, and a truly lovely person. The whole experience is important to me, and this pizzeria deserves a shout-out. Well done, everyone! You're a wonderful team! ❤️💋

Right after the consumption we felt bad on the stomach, I feel realy disgusted. Don't recommend and never comeback, shame that you spoil the opinion of Italian cousin

14/12/2025: We stopped for a quick coffee. The girl at the counter immediately greeted us and smiled as we entered. The place was clean and tidy, and the music was at the perfect volume.

09/11/2025: It appeared as open on Google, but it was completely closed. Google My Business is a disaster in this area… it's impossible to trust the hours they show. They should update or review them, because you travel miles for nothing. 😤

25/10/2025: Ambience was quite nice but had to wait for a while to be served. Immediately noticed the difference of a pizzeria within the town and outside the town. Went for a good old Capricciosa (mozzarella, tomato, ham, mushrooms, artichokes). Taste is alright but the crust was too thick and heavy. Also the artichokes were huge and overpowering. Positive side they had a very spicy oil to eat it with. We asked for a local red and they gave us a Cabernet Sauvignon. Did not enjoy it that much. Charge is added pp for the table higher since it’s in the town I guess. Also the total was double comparing.

02/11/2025: As per the property's slogan, keep it a secret! Maso Zambo is a hidden gem in Valsassina, a small property with meticulous attention to detail, where everything is genuine and authentic, starting with Stefano, the owner. There are only two simple rooms, each with a very comfortable bed and a beautiful view of the hills. Dinner is tasty, intimate, and features produce from the garden. Breakfast is simple and healthy, perhaps one of the aspects the Maso could improve. The highlight is undoubtedly the spa, which Stefano is an expert on. A clean, relaxing environment, with a splendid sauna and hot/cold showers. Massages and scrubs can also be added. The price is certainly high, but I find it in line with the offerings. If you're looking for peace and relaxation, Maso Zambo is for you.

20/10/2025: An incredible surprise in Valsassina. We had a top-notch lunch. Traditional dishes revisited and beautifully presented. Unexpectedly high quality cuisine. Excellent service, polite and courteous staff. Fantastic location. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

15/06/2025: Friendly and nice staff. We stopped right away as soon as we saw the counter extremely stocked with both sweet and savory food: we ate some crunchy and stuffed focaccias that were amazing!
