Capanna Alpinisti Monzesi In Lecco

I visited this place on March 16, 2024. Afternoon jog from Calolziocorte, I really enjoyed going back. The day had favorable weather. But what struck me most was the moment of peace around 4.22 pm

Hut located in an excellent location, on the coast on the rock. It's a shame about the tall and very thick plants that block the view of the valley. Colorful and clearly visible from afar, very large and with a small outdoor terrace (with picnic tables). Various paths pass nearby

Very positive family adventure!! After some difficulty on the route (pra di ratt, very demanding) we arrived at the refuge in the late afternoon and immediately treated ourselves to an excellent craft beer accompanied by a platter of cold cuts and cheeses. In the evening we had dinner in the company of the owner Angelo, a wonderful opportunity to have a chat until late in the evening while admiring the splendid night view. Truly excellent home cooking with quality raw materials (the tagliatelle with venison ragout is recommended). We stayed overnight in the refuge: clean bathrooms, private room for 4 and maximum hospitality. The next day we woke up to hail but with some route advice from the owner we managed to return to Erve. We return home with beautiful memories of the Monza mountaineers' refuge and its staff!!! See you soon - Brioschi family (Dad adds: go and give the chips away)

Excellent refuge. Nothing to say. I take advantage of this review to point out that the signage to get to the destination is terrible. It can be improved... let's keep in mind that we are not all mountaineers..... thank you very much
