15/09/2025: A comfortable and welcoming family-run retreat. Excellent traditional local cuisine, especially the delicious homemade desserts. The view of the Biandino and Valvarrone valleys is priceless.

29/03/2026: The restaurant is beautiful both inside and out. It has a large private parking lot, which is extremely convenient, given that finding a parking spot in Montevecchia is like winning the lottery! The kitchen doesn't offer a wide selection of dishes. For example, among the first courses, there are various risottos and a single pasta selection. However, this doesn't detract from the deliciousness and quality of the dishes, which are very refined and beautifully presented. For dessert, we only tried the tiramisu, which is freshly prepared at the table. The mascarpone cream not used in the tiramisu is left at the table to be enjoyed with a spoon or in your coffee. The service is also commendable: everyone is very kind and friendly.

25/03/2026: I've been there several times, both for lunch and dinner, and the food has always been divine. A wonderful place located on a panoramic hill, offering a well-kept garden with tables in the summer and a splendid veranda with glass windows in the winter. The fireplace in one of the dining rooms creates a relaxing atmosphere for long conversations, and the rooms are carefully designed to allow you to enjoy all the tranquility this splendid location offers. The owner is very friendly and always attentive to every detail. Highly recommended.

12/04/2026: We returned to Sostra in Dervio and ordered perch risotto and pizzoccheri to take out. Generous portions, authentic flavors, and meticulous preparation, just as we remembered from previous visits. The risotto was creamy and well-blended, with delicate, fresh perch; the pizzoccheri were rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The service was friendly and prompt, even for takeout. A pleasant confirmation.

23/07/2025: Si elige este restaurante sin leer cuidadosamente todas las reseñas de TA, tenga en cuenta que se enfrentará a largas esperas por su comida y una factura costosa al final. Si está preparado para lo anterior, los platos estarán buenos , pero no exactamente como se describe en sus menús obtusos: por ejemplo, mi kebab de pollo ( 55 minutos de espera por 22 € ) no tenía ningún lado vegetal.

21/07/2025: Solo poche parole, pranzo squisito, piatti preparati dalla miglior tradizione persiana con tocchi di personalizzazione che hanno dato anche qualcosa in più. Era l'anniversario di matrimonio e mia moglie iraniana è rimasta pienamente soddisfatta. Ambiente amichevole, ottimo servizio, insomma, tutto splendido!

The refined atmosphere is tastefully decorated with a nautical theme (including the wallpaper!), with lots of unique and beautiful paintings, but not only that... centerpieces, sculptures, and decorations, all without being over the top. And all well-placed. Excellent pizza, including gluten-free. Delicious dishes and beautiful presentation. Seeing the bar, I ordered a gin and tonic. Super! Top service. The food is worth it. Perfect location. In the summer, the entire outdoor area has a wonderful view. In the winter, the view is always beautiful, with these large windows. They also have a limited number of rooms, and I would have loved to stay here, but unfortunately we had already booked somewhere else! Maybe next time.

09/02/2026: We happened to pass by (we are from Bergamo) for lunch and we stopped and we have to say that everything was excellent... tasty and really good dishes... two hot seafood starters and two fish main courses (the octopus is highly recommended)... coffee and rum with chocolate top... highly recommended... the waiter was very kind.
