He recommended my partner a local alternative amaro for after dinner which he absolutely loved. The food was incredible, skip the touristy restaurants near the harbour and try here 😍 thank you again

02/08/2025: Last year, we had a wonderful meal here and a pleasant evening. What a disappointment yesterday. The food was reasonable, but the service was impersonal (especially the waiter). The starter and main course arrived quickly one after the other. A good wine was recommended, though. Everything was rushed, and there was no room for conversation or a smile. Dining out is an experience, and if the service is disappointing, it really puts a damper on your evening. Unfortunately, I won't be eating here again.

14/07/2025: We went for a nice dinner as a couple and the food was good.... But..... When we ordered drinks we asked for a half bottle, because we had to drive home and the waiter, instead of understanding that we didn't feel like getting drunk with our meal and potentially losing our license for driving after drinking a bottle of wine he implied multiple times that we were just looking for a cheap option and that we were poor... He then proceeded to tell us what wines we could order, because they only had a few wines that were on the menu... Then the food order... We wanted to share a starter, but again, the implication that we couldn't afford two plates of food... Then the main order... I was not brought what I ordered (the vegetarian ravioli), but was brought the ravioli with anchovies. I should have pointed out that I'm vegetarian, but figured that I didn't need to disclose that and just order vegetarian things off the menu.... I didn't realize that it was the wrong dish that was brought until I had already eaten one raviolo and thought it was odd that it tasted fishy... I gave the plate to my wife to finish as I didn't feel like dealing with the waiter who had already been rude to us and had yelled across the restaurant at the other waiter who was there. When we left the waiter asked if the food was good and we said yes, but I said that if there is fish in something it should probably say it on the menu (I didn't realize he had sent the wrong order to the kitchen at this point)... He offered to show me the menu where it said it had fish, but he didn't actually get the menu. I went to get the car and my wife asked to see the menu to see if maybe I looked at the menu wrong. No, he just brought the wrong dish and then proceeded to argue with her, him saying that that's what I ordered. The food was good, the wine was good, but the waiter was pretty awful. (And no... We're not tourists, we live here and we're Italian... I just don't like writing in Italian...)

20/07/2025: It's worth walking past just to admire the centuries-old wisteria at the entrance. Excellent food. Impeccable service. Beautiful restaurant (and clean bathrooms). Make an extra effort for the desserts. I'll be back again.

19/07/2025: One of the most welcoming and delicious restaurants to try in Bartesate, near Galbiate. It's a small, charming restaurant in the historic center of Bartesate, next to a church. Silvano and Alessio will welcome you from start to finish, as if you were at home, recommending the best wine to pair with one of their weekly dishes. Excellent value. Recommended for an excellent dinner or lunch, leaving you satisfied. I'll gladly return.

09/03/2025: First time yesterday, before leaving for a simple excursion a nice sandwich with bresaola and a slice of chocolate cake, on the way back it was late and it was closing they made us eat two good slices of pizza while they were cleaning. Really kind and compliments for everything

18/06/2025: Locale di prestigio, nella piazza centrale, innanzi alla torre castello. Un ambiente dall’ arredo curato, elegante, era da un po' di tempo che non passavamo da quando avevano aperto come ristorazione con menù di classe, piatti ben impiantati e ingredienti di qualità non uscivi senza comprare il pane sfornato da loro. In quei tempi ci siamo stati più volte presenti con amici e famigliari. Questa mattina abbiamo fatto colazione seduti fuori, appena aperto, quando la gente ancora non si vedeva passeggiare…è stato un piacere consumare in questo ambiente, dalle briosce buone. Abbiamo lasciato un saluto a Stefano e famiglia
