15/07/2025: Awful service, awful food, overpriced and THEY OVERCHARGE! Absolut shit, this minimal ravioli cost 8€ because they apparently didn't have penne??? We got served an ad paper, NO bread which they GAVE TO OTHERS AROUND US and included in the service fee!?!?!? The server was awful, had attitude, didn't say a thing, was for some reason nice to others, (we genuinely just got sat down and didn't do a single other thing to deserve this). Then we got charged 10€ extra and they tried to tell us we ordered something different and that the service fee was the cause for the cost, so we asked what service included and they said BREAD and napkins, we didn't get served bread but noticed a couple getting served it and yet they said we HAVE TO PAY FOR NON EXISTING SERVICE. And I haven't even talked about the small portion ravioli which tasted mid at best! Awful place, no one should ever have to go here!

13/07/2025: We came to eat on the seashore with a group of 6 people. The staff was not friendly, they said first look at our prices, then decide or sit with us. Only because of the location, not far from the hotel, we decided to eat there. The whole evening we looked at the dissatisfied waiters, despite the fact that we ordered food for 300 euros. For food separately, shrimp with sand, old bread, all the food is bland, in general, even 1 star is too much

11/07/2025: I had spaghetti Bolognese, which wasn't recommended, probably from a jar, and the portion was particularly small and didn't fill me up, but it cost €20. My question about Parmesan cheese was answered twice with "yes, yes," and I still didn't get any cheese. The squid was blandly prepared and not worth the €25.

20/07/2025: Una delle cameriere ha risposto a un turista straniero in maniera tanto cafona che mi sono sentita io in imbarazzo per lei. Ci sono persone che non meritano di lavorare a contatto del pubblico davanti a una meraviglia come la nostra cattedrale. 05/07/2025: Passing through on the way back to Rome, delicious food, good trofie al pesto and very kind and friendly staff. They even accepted my child's request to put on a piece that he loves to dance: Macarena ☺️

12/07/2025: Aside from the beautiful location because you're practically on the beach, the service was truly mediocre. Slow, they brought water and wine without a bit of bread, which arrived after requesting it. The food, too, was nothing special. An experience not to be repeated.

12/07/2025: A disaster: due to a mix-up, the Cuban menu we'd ordered was cancelled ("Sorry, but the Cuban is sold out"). We waited an hour and ten minutes because the staff forgot our order (which was a substitute for the Cuban menu). The person I was with had ordered, among other things, a regular mixed salad, but instead they served her a mixed seafood platter. I'd ordered a Brazilian meat platter (according to the lady, it should have been a slice of meat at least two centimeters thick!) with a side of roast potatoes, but instead they brought me a slice of charred meat with fries. Others: a plate of trofie with pesto (a bit bland, to be honest); two cocktails, two bottles of mineral water, a coffee. TOTAL €100. NEVER AGAIN!

30/07/2025: Esperienza deludente: la signora alla cassa era sempre al telefono a parlare dei fatti suoi e ignorava completamente i clienti. Mi ha dato l’impressione di essere di troppo. Per fortuna le due ragazze al banco sono state gentilissime, sorridenti e professionali. Solo grazie a loro non me ne sono andata subito.

21/07/2025: Posto molto accogliente, abbiamo mangiato bene,siamo la pizza che le rostelle buone,la carne da cuocere un po' meglio,ma ottima,il responsabile molto gentile, è ovvio che come nuova gestione i prezzi siano un po' aumentati,ma si mangia veramente bene,e sono convinto che il responsabile saprà organizzare il personale nel migliore dei modi...

29/07/2025: I'm reluctantly writing a review. I've been a customer for many years. I hate to write this review, but it doesn't sit right with me. This is the third time I've ordered takeout pizza. The delivery driver didn't have change. It doesn't seem right! I'm sorry, but I'll be using other pizzerias.

16/07/2025: The pizzas I ordered, despite the late hour, arrived promptly and were excellent. The delivery person was very kind, and the prices are fair. I'll be a customer from now on!

06/08/2025: Great ice cream with a wide variety of flavours and fair prices. Surprised to see it so empty. It feels like a hidden gem that doesn’t get enough attention, probably because of its location. Definitely worth a visit!

15/03/2025: I ordered two pizzas (1 tomato and stracchino and 1 tomato and stracchino + cooked) at approximately 8pm on Saturday with expected delivery at 9.15pm. The pizzas, in addition to having been delivered after more than 30 minutes of delay (without even a drink to apologise), were almost cold, considering that the driver still had other pizzas to deliver after my delivery, and were not consistent with the photos proposed by the pizzeria itself regarding the pizzas they made: from a pizza with enough crust to an almost totally dry pizza. The only advantage is the fairly abundant stracchino.

07/03/2025: I asked for a pizza with anchovies and onion but as you can see in the photo there are only 4 anchovies and a lot of onion I called to ask why the answer was that if I wanted to order another one but I had to repay it well I would say excellent I spent almost 50 euros for 4 pizzas and hearing these answers for me is enough never again they don't care that much about their customers.

01/06/2025: Speed ​​and acceptable service, shame about the pizzas as both were completely full of water and the speck was inedible due to the rind. Absolutely not recommended!

26/04/2025: It was an experience that no one should have to try, first of all we had booked for 8.30 and they gave our table to another family making us wait outside so that one could be freed inside. Mostly this table was behind the counter and therefore lost from the others, we sat down and saw the menu which was nice but a little poor, we had to wait 40 minutes before a waiter came to take our order. As soon as we ordered we had to wait 1 hour and 30 minutes before they came to our table, mostly we hadn't even ordered something impossible, a plate of trofie with pesto which was missing salt, a mixed fry which they gave to another lady and 3 pizzas.

02/07/2025: Ieri sera abbiamo ordinato delle pizze. Risultato qualità pessima, impasto surgelato e bruciate sotto. Sconsiglio vivamente questa pizzeria d'asporto.

15/07/2025: I had high hopes for this focacceria in Levanto, but unfortunately, the food was a major disappointment. The focaccia was absolutely awful – rubbery, tasteless, and nothing like the fresh, crispy bread you’d expect in Liguria. It felt like chewing on a piece of sponge. Service was friendly and fairly quick (4/5), and the atmosphere was okay (3/5), but none of that could make up for how terrible the food was. I wouldn’t come back.

02/04/2025: Passando per via Balbi in pieno centro storico a Genova vicino alle varie università sono entrato in questo bar caffetteria della nota catena di cucina tipica genovese di bars e caffetteria ben presente in città ed ho preso al banco un ottimo e squisito caffè con un bicchierino di acqua gasata. Il bar è piccolino con tanti tavolini interni nelle varie sale interne ed è frequentato sopratutto da giovani universitari ed è possibile fare colazione ed anche pranzare. Come sempre nei vari locali di Mentelocale il punto di forza è rappresentato da tutto il personale veramente adorabile accogliente sorridente competente gentile cordiale e disponibile. Mon hanno servizio al tavolo credo lo fanno solo a pranzo e quindi bisogna prima pagare e poi andare al banco e fare l’ordinazione. Tornerò un’altra volta per andare a pranzo. Infine i prezzi sono veramente buoni. Passing through via Balbi in the historic center of Genoa near the various universities I entered this bar and cafe of the well-known chain of typical Genoese cuisine of bars and cafes well present in the city and I took an excellent and delicious coffee at the counter with a glass of sparkling water. The bar is small with many internal tables in the various internal rooms and is frequented mainly by young university students and it is possible to have breakfast and also lunch. As always in the various Mentelocale locations the strong point is represented by all the truly adorable, welcoming, smiling, competent, kind, friendly and helpful staff. As always they do not have table service maybe only at lunch and therefore you have to pay first and then go to the counter and place your order. I will return another time for lunch. Finally the prices are really good.
