19/01/2025: Per il mio compleanno con i familiari, volevamo mangiare pesce e ci siamo tolti grandemente lo sfizio: leggendo il menù chiedo cosa fosse fresco e cosa magari surgelato, tutto solo fresco, quello che vorresti che ti rispondessero sempre. Che bell'inizio. Locale piccolo e carino, accogliente, e il servizio delle ragazze in sala è stato semplicemente ottimo, come pure la velocità nel servirti. Iniziamo con gli antipasti di mare, assolutamente deliziosi, la tentazione era di fare un secondo giro; un tagliolino agli scampi che definirei come minimo speciale, e finalmente grigliate miste con tutto super fresco e buono, solo io provo un'orata in acqua pazza per avere anche altro da verificare, delicata e molto buona. Un vermentino sardo piacevolissimo e conto più che equilibrato, veramente un piacere dall'inizio alla fine. Ai Castelli per mangiare il pesce? ma certo che si, ormai diventano il mio punto di riferimento.

23/03/2025: We came to this place on Sunday, the place is nice and well looked after, the food is of good quality and is treated with care by bringing beautiful dishes to the plates; the staff is kind and attentive, a special mention to the waiter who served us, Luigi, a nice guy, kind and attentive to detail who managed to make lunch truly pleasant. Overall it was a great lunch I think we will be back soon.

23/02/2025: I returned after two times... the staff was always friendly, the service was fast... I ate well the previous times but last night the pappardelle with wild boar was too tinged with vinegar... in my opinion the chef screwed up... I would have expected some attention from the owner... like I'll offer you coffee... or, next time I'll wait and I'll be careful not to disappoint you... but..., evidently all these formalities are outdated...

22/02/2025: Evening with friends in this very beautiful and well-kept place 😍... Excellent service also for the choice of wines which is not at all obvious, the starters were delicious... cutting board with excellent products and divine cheese and ova palettes,... The focaccia with mixed flour and the sheep's skewers were also very good... The strips with artichokes and parmesan were good... a little savory for my palate but that's a personal taste... The cut was a pity it's hard and the cooking wasn't rare as I requested but they blamed it on the griddle🤔.... Oh well, I ate it healthy anyway because it was quite chewy.... however overall I enjoyed it... I'll go back... but without taking the meat😅 ....

23/02/2025: Delizioso ristorantino sito a Grottaferrata non lontano dal corso principale. Poco distante anche un piccolo ma comodo parcheggio a pagamento causa strisce blu. La Location presenta due sale: una più grande e una più piccolina ma molto gradevole. L'ambiente è rustico ma grazioso. Il servizio cortese, gentile, disponibile. Menù accattivante: gli antipasti sono svariati e tutti invitanti; anche I secondi alla brace devo dire che sono notevoli anche perché il ristorante si chiama "Mangia fuoco" ; per ultimi metterei I primi secondo me meno interessanti anche se noi ne abbiamo presi due. Devo segnalare le pizzelle fritte con alici e puntarelle davvero visionarie; la grigliata Mangiafuoco è spettacolare ; e infine il gelato alla brace fatto da una sfera di cioccolato ripiena di gelato con all'interno amarena: qui abbiamo raggiunto l'apice della degustazione. Prodotti di qualità trattati benissimo. I carciofi fritti messi sulla pasta sono paradisiaci. Rapporto qualità e prezzo ottimale. Poi la cosa bella è che esci e per smaltire le calorie fai due passi per il centro di Grottaferrata fino alla Basilica di San Nilo che vale la pena vedere. Giornata bella, soleggiata e aria pulita. Cosa desiderare di più dalla vita!

23/02/2025: Delightful little restaurant located in Grottaferrata not far from the main street. Not far away there is also a small but convenient paid car park due to blue lines. The Location has two rooms: a larger one and a smaller but very pleasant one. The atmosphere is rustic but charming. The service was courteous, kind, helpful. Attractive menu: the starters are varied and all inviting; I must also say that the grilled second courses are also notable because the restaurant is called "Eat fire"; lastly I would put the first ones which in my opinion are less interesting even if we took two of them. I must point out the truly visionary fried pizzelle with anchovies and chicory; the Mangiafuoco barbecue is spectacular; and finally the grilled ice cream made from a chocolate sphere filled with ice cream with black cherry inside: here we have reached the pinnacle of the tasting. Quality products treated very well. Fried artichokes placed on pasta are heavenly. Excellent quality and price ratio. Then the nice thing is that you go out and to work off the calories you take a walk through the center of Grottaferrata up to the Basilica of San Nilo which is worth seeing. Beautiful day, sunny and clean air. What more could you want from life!

24/01/2025: I have been coming to this restaurant for about 35 years and unfortunately I have to say that this time I was disappointed. I can't say I eat badly but not as well as I remembered. Always welcoming atmosphere, excellent service, but stuffed pasta, meat and vegetables without infamy or praise while the spaghetti with black cabbage and crusco pepper is delicious. Good tiramisu. Normal flavours, all stewed cooking without the crunchiness necessary for the suckling pig and the shank. Definitely good for foreigners, for us Italians but above all Romans a little less so.

25/01/2025: We are yet to get married here but I am already so fond of the beautiful memories we'll make and grateful for having found such a magical location. But more importantly, I am so appreciative of the staff - they are an exceptional team who will work tirelessly to try and accommodate all your needs and ensure you have the day of your dreams.
