03/01/2025: My partner and I were in Gaeta and we chose this small restaurant on the seafront because we needed tranquility. We were welcomed by the owner, a very discreet and kind Rocco Papaleo type. We ate very well, starting with an appetizer of cured meats and cheeses described in their origin and nature by the owner very accurately. I still have in mind the goodness of organic goat cheese, black pork salami from Caserta, delicious local olives and special ham. We then had two tielle with escarole, olives and cod, it was a pleasure I would have eaten until I fainted. Followed by a portion of black beans with pork and another with escarole and cannellini beans, all accompanied by excellent bread and an excellent wine clearly recommended. It is a family run kitchen where the owner's daughter is in the kitchen. It's one of the few times that I take the flavors of food away with me in my mind. It is a place among my favorites where I will definitely return.

The sandwiches are a bomb of flavor filled with surprising ingredients The fried foods are an absolute must-try. The place is welcoming, the service is quick and the staff is super helpful, I'll be back soon!

28/05/2025: Abundant dishes with quality fish, impeccable and fast service despite having gone when the Americo Vespucci was there so I can imagine the turnout considering that the ship was docked right in front of the restaurant. The pizza was also excellent both for the quality and for the price. Thank you very much for the beautiful experience you made us try. Highly recommended

27/10/2024: Eravamo stati incuriositi dalle referenze locali ma l'esperienza è stata deludente. I piatti serviti non hanno valorizzato la materia prima. Le fishball sono state assolutamente anonime e prive di sapore. Il calamaro farcito con broccoletti era sommerso da una crema di parmigiano che ne ha distrutto il sapore. Anche la presentazione dei piatti non invoglia. Peccato!

13/09/2024: Esperienza assolutamente ottima da Oriente a Gaeta. Locale carino, abbiamo mangiato all’aperto. Personale gentilissimo e sempre sorridente nonostante il ristorante fosse pieno di clienti e il lavoro davvero tanto! Servizio ottimo. Ho iniziato il pranzo con un’abnorme e ottima frittura di calamari: UN CAPOLAVORO! pesce freschissimo e profumato. Ho proseguito il pasto con una gustosa porzione di linguine con cozze e crema di patate, zafferano e parmigiano reggiano: OTTIME! Un perfetto incastro di sapori e anche un’attenzione all’impiattamento. Prezzi nella media di Gaeta. Straconsigliato

03/05/2025: Good food, minimal quantity considering the price, out of 3 people, one received their dish late and ate alone. Even after our remark, we were told that it was their “concept” and no gesture from the waiter who then even ignored us! Big disappointment

06/04/2025: A very nice sandwich bar located in the center of Gaeta. On Saturday evenings there is always karaoke. Excellent food, staff always friendly. It is also very convenient for parking.

03/06/2025: Truly a superlative experience in every sense: for the quality of the dishes, the kindness and helpfulness of the waiters, the speed of service and the location! We have been going to this restaurant for years and I must say that every time they try to change the dishes on the menu: this time I wanted to try the pasta "Il Barone" with octopus which was really excellent, others tried another pasta dish "Il Borgo" which was equally good. And what about the fried pizza (the nuvolette), the aubergine meatballs, the grilled filleted sea bream (it was a large portion!!) and the mozzarella in carrozza? We devoured everything in a short time... Prices absolutely in line with the location and quality! However, I feel I must give one piece of advice: book in advance and try to arrive between 7:30 pm and 8:00 pm at the latest!

01/06/2025: Central location and easy to reach on foot. It offers a beautiful view of Gaeta. Good food and the staff is always kind and ready to satisfy the requests of the customers. To try and return with friends and relatives.

02/05/2025: Nice little restaurant, shame for the owner who, after they had made us sit and set the table outside, went out and roughly rudely told us that there was no room in an inappropriate and rude manner like ruining the serenity of an evening out It would have been enough for him to apologize and politely inform us that the restaurant was fully booked. If you read all the negative reviews they point to the owner's rudeness, if I had read them first I would have avoided wasting my time.

25/04/2025: Scelto per caso e felicemente scoperto sapori e preparazioni degne di nota, da provare l'antipasto misto di mare, la minestra riso, scarola e baccalà ed il fritto misto, belli i dolci e vino della casa onesto. Tornati una seconda volta e pronti per il terzo ed ultimo giro. Prezzi giusti

02/05/2025: Servizio scarsissimo, titolari o personale molto antipatico. "attendete in fila oltre la pedana" una cosa assurda: significava attendere sotto il sole. Sarebbe più pratico e normale far sedere le persone, prendere le ordinazioni e poi far pagare. Invece, incassano subito e ti trattano come numeri. Il cibo di scarsa qualità. Tielle molto mediocri e senza sapore.
