26/12/2023: I went there for lunch yesterday with my daughter, I finally found a place in Formia where the search for raw materials is accurate, I congratulate the chef!! The flavor of the dishes was enhanced with simplicity and great skill so as to allow us to savor all the freshness and quality of both the fish and, for example, details such as the pistachio and the Gaeta olive! This is what makes the difference! Compliments also to the kind host who looked after us and made us feel at home, in fact the environment is sober, elegant and refined. Very comfortable. Which, together with the mastery of the chef, are fundamental ingredients for guaranteed success

02/04/2024: Stopped for breakfast before Returning to the city, lady at the bar with unkind manners. Minimal choice of croissants and mediocre quality. Price in Local standard Clean and suitable spaces. I was stunned when I asked to pay by card and the woman at the counter told me I should have told her first...before what???? Never again, it used to be run by people I know and these things didn't happen. I hope the management has changed otherwise it's bad

03/12/2023: Terrible tourist experience. I enter because I read a sign "takeaway spritz 3 euros". Later, when it was too late, I read that they serve ice cream by the scoop, one euro per scoop... There I should have understood everything, if I had seen the sign earlier. Upon entering I discover that you can use the bathroom either by paying 50 cents or by consuming (per person, not in general). Not bad, I really wanted a spritz I tell myself. Asking for a spritz the lady behind the counter gives me the menu: the 3 euro spritz was in the plastic glass, with a ridiculous cl. The real one, Aperol, in the glass, cost 6 euros, the Campari one 7. This is also strange, but I say to myself "if it's good, why not?". I order a Campari spritz which came out very light (the lady evidently doesn't know that spritzes follow a precise dosage of ingredients), while the lady does nothing but complain about the amount of customers who come in because they need the bathroom, so much so who goes so far as to lock the bar every 5 minutes: he says to guarantee excellent service, with a single bathroom for men and women, without toilet paper (when I entered, certainly) and a watered-down spritz for 7 euros. Oh I forgot, served with a cup of tarallini. I point out that the bar is located in the center of Gaeta, so the lady's hysterics are unmotivated, she would rather hire someone who can actually give her a hand. Last but not least, there were two of us, two Campari spritz, bill 15 euros. Unfortunately, I found out that she had left, otherwise I would have had something to say about it: we also paid 1 euro for table service. On the same street there are a multitude of pizzerias, one a little earlier offers a glass of wine for 1 euro (always seen too late) and on Corso Cavour there is a nice place that does a spritz for 5 euros. Honestly, this bar should be avoided like the plague. In the Bufalotta area of ​​Rome for 15 euros they'll give you two excellent spritzes and give you a pinsa... I leave you the photo of the receipt, because the lady is also a tax evader (always discovered too late, already on the return bus).

18/02/2024: We stopped here for a quick brunch The outside part is very nice and overlooks the sea, so it makes spending time here very pleasant We ordered an octopus tiella and fried anchovies and calamari The anchovies were excellent, freshly fried and crunchy to the right degree The calamari were rubbery and it took you at least 30-40 seconds to eat one, they were definitely not freshly fried and who knows maybe not even fresh The tiella was appreciable, the octopus cooked well even if the flavor was not memorable The wine of the castles is very good

18/02/2024: They missed the reservation...waited 15 minutes to be seated They put us in a corner. Too overpriced. Last but not least...don't forget to leave the tax-free contribution of €1 if you pay by card I do not recommend!!!

24/02/2024: Pranzo di Natale assolutamente perfetto. Abbiamo optato per il menù pesce preparato e servito egregiamente. L'antipasto con fishball di benvenuto, insalatina tiepida di mare; pasta mista risottata capocchia mazzancolle e cime di rapa; baccalà di rinforzo e per dessert panettone e zabaglione . Conosciamo Walter da tempo e ogni volta che abbiamo voglia di pesce l'unico dove ci piace è da lui e come lui lo prepara. Assolutamente consigliato

26/11/2023: Giuro avrei voluto dare 4 pallini, non ci sono riuscito. I tempi biblici per avere 4 antipasti 1 primo (sbagliata comanda ma rimediata egregiamente dal proprietaria) e 4 secondi sono stati di circa 2 ore e mezzo, questo con nemmeno 20 clienti e almeno 2 persone in cucina hanno annullato le belle portate degustate. Nulla da eccepire sulle materie prime ma alcuni accostamenti "a mio parere" sono azzardati e non mi hanno entusiasmato

19/11/2023: Siamo stati a pranzo domenica in occasione delle luminarie..spaghetti alla gaetana abbondante e ottimi..calamaro ripieno della casa ottimo..Servizio veloce complimenti alla Signora e il cameriere disponibili e simpatici..Prezzo ottimo per la qualità che abbiamo mangiato ..ve lo consiglio…

02/12/2023: Ristorante fermo agli anni 70 antipasto di mare che nn aveva sapore calamitata ai gamberi rossi che praticamente nn c’erano ma erano due gamberi piccoli .Ma la cosa sconcertante pagare 80€ e’ veramente una rapina .Mi dispiace ma 1 e’ pure troppo .

05/01/2024: Al ritorno dalla passeggiata per vedere le luminarie, ci siamo fermati in questa trattoria a conduzione familiare. Ci hanno accolti con grande gentilezza. L’ambiente è semplice e tranquillo. Abbiamo mangiato delle buonissime linguine alle vongole veraci, un “ panuozzo” che dal cuoco è stato definito “‘na creatura” e un’eccellente pizza Regina Margherita che strabordava dal piatto … tutto squisito. Complimenti. Torneremo sicuramente
