07/08/2025: [English] This is a shady place, beware! I ordered a plate of seafood spaghetti and was charged 108 euros! On the evening of July 10, 2025, when I first arrived in Venice, I saw this place on the street and thought it looked cheap, so I sat down. Since I don't speak Italian, I could only look at the picture on the menu and ordered a plate of seafood spaghetti, which was listed as 9 euros. While eating, I didn't think the seafood was fresh at all, but I figured, for only 9 euros, I couldn't expect more. However, when I paid, I was charged 108 euros! They said the price on the menu was for 100 grams, but the plate I was given was 1000 grams, plus a 12% service charge. I blamed myself for not reading the price on the menu, but they didn't confirm the portion size when I ordered. Furthermore, if the plate of spaghetti was 500 grams, it's possible, but it definitely wasn't 1000 grams! After negotiating with two shop assistants, one offered a discount, charging me 80 euros. I said I could only pay 50 euros, and he said, "Let's call the police." But he didn't seem to call them. I asked when they would arrive, and they said it would take at least two hours. After a while, another shop assistant came over to mediate, saying they didn't want to cause any trouble. I was unfamiliar with the place and didn't want to bother with any trouble, so I just accepted my bad luck and paid 70 euros. During the negotiation, the shop assistant who took my order pretended to accidentally bump into me twice, then became aggressive and threatened to hit me. This was my first time in Italy, and I've traveled from Naples to Rome, Florence, Venice, and Milan. I've always found Italians to be generally friendly, but this shop was the most unpleasant and even a little terrifying. These shady shops are truly a detriment to the beautiful scenery of Venice! Later, I saw reviews on Google Maps and realized that this shop has a reputation for being terrible. It's my fault for not checking first. I hope more people see this post to avoid being scammed. During the negotiation, the staff member who took my order "accidentally" bumped into me twice, and later even tried to intimidate me by acting as if he was going to hit me. This was my first trip to Italy, and I traveled from south to north, visiting Naples, Rome, Florence, Venice, and Milan. I found most Italians very friendly. However, my experience at this restaurant was the most Unpleasant and even a bit frightening. Scam restaurants like this one ruin the beauty of Venice! Afterwards, I checked Google Maps reviews and found out that this restaurant is notorious for its poor reputation. It’s my own fault for not checking beforehand. I also checked menus from other restaurants and found out that the average price of a seafood pasta is around 25-30 euros. I hope more people can see this post and avoid falling into such scams.

20/09/2025: This afternoon I stopped by the bar for a couple of coffees ☕️☕️ I have to say, the guy at the cash register was really kind 😊, the tall, smiling girl was very courteous and helpful 🌸. I always love the atmosphere, with a beautiful view that makes even a simple break special 💖. Unfortunately, the only downside was a small, slightly plump barista with glasses 👓 who glared at us and then rudely served our coffees, shoving them in front of us 😔… I thought maybe she was having a bad day, but it would have been better not to take it out on the customers. I love the place and I've been there before with pleasure ✨ I would have given it 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐, but it's a real shame about the service on that occasion.

05/09/2025: I'm giving it a 1 because it's the best. Terrible food: spaghetti with squid ink that tasted like oil. Cuttlefish was extremely salty and inedible. A bottle of still water was €6!!!!! We asked for bread to accompany our main course, but guess what, it wasn't included and we were charged €2.50 on the receipt—obviously, no one had mentioned this. Plus, there's a 12% service charge (10% VAT). I'm attaching a photo of the receipt because it's unbelievable. Speechless

04/05/2026: The place is well located. But I think it's a bit expensive for what they offer. My mom wanted something for breakfast and ordered a special: coffee, juice, and a toasted sandwich (which was just okay) for 11 euros, and then they charged her a 2 euro service fee that wasn't mentioned at all. I think there are better places in Venice for that price. The staff, however, were very helpful.

06/08/2026: Catastrophic! I ordered at the bar and was rudely told to go outside. I ordered a coffee and cannoli, which were simply inedible and smelled like detergent. We ate them just to be sure, and when I mentioned the problem when paying (the bill was very high; I should have been suspicious, as there were no prices listed anywhere), they told me that since I had already eaten them, there was nothing they could do. Avoid at all costs!!!

28/07/2026: It was truly one of the best I’ve ever had. I liked that they sold single servings of risotto, unlike other places, and the 1.5 euro table setting fee was also a plus. I was worried because the Google rating was in the low 2s, but perhaps because of that, there weren't many people, which made me even more satisfied. Of course, there is a 10% service charge, but the food prices are correspondingly affordable. However, the drinks don't seem to be very good value for money. Also, although I didn't use the water glass since I didn't order any, it was disappointing to see lipstick marks on it.

13/07/2026: 1 star only because 0 can't be given. - Pizza waited 2 hours: Ordered around 9 PM, arrived when we got up to leave at 11 PM, - Full dining room, 40 degrees Celsius, no air conditioning or fans - After 1 hour and 45 minutes, the waiter came to the table to ask what was missing: EVERYTHING - Pizza taken away for takeout "because they'd already made it," eaten cold - The icing on the cake: they charged us for everything in full, even with the service charge and service included, even though we hadn't used them at all, given that we ordered takeout.

11/07/2025: Viajero ciego estafado — € 9 pasta convertida en € 63 Tengo discapacidad visual, y esta fue mi primera visita a una trattoria en Venecia. Desafortunadamente, fui engañado debido a mi incapacidad para ver claramente. El personal recomendó un plato de pasta, diciendo que era de € 9. Lo ordené, confiando en esa información. Pero cuando llegó el momento de pagar, el propietario me dijo que en realidad eran 9 € por 100 gramos, algo que nunca me explicaron en ningún momento. Sin pedir mi consentimiento, cocinaron 700 gramos y luego me gritaron que pagara 63€. Cuando lo dudé, el dueño amenazó con llamar a la policía, lo que me puso extremadamente ansioso y asustado. Les dije que no tenía tarjeta, solo algo de dinero en efectivo. Me presionaron hasta que les di todo el dinero que tenía para salir de allí. Como alguien ciego, confío en explicaciones verbales claras. Pero ninguno fue proporcionado. En Florencia, cuando pedí filete, mostraron claramente el peso y el precio de antemano. Aquí, se aprovecharon de mi vulnerabilidad. Adjunto una foto del plato que sirvieron. Parecía una pasta típica de marisco, no algo que debería costar 63€. Y para ser claros, los 63€ eran solo para la pasta. Las bebidas y otros artículos se cobran por separado. Esto hace que la falta de explicación previa sea aún más indignante. Más tarde, encontré otra reseña que describía exactamente la misma situación: a un cliente le dijeron que era una “pasta de mariscos”, asumió que eran 15 € como los demás y terminó cobrándole 63 € por pasta de langosta. Es evidente que este es un patrón de engaño dirigido a los turistas, especialmente a aquellos que no están familiarizados con las prácticas locales o a personas vulnerables como yo. Ni siquiera me dieron un recibo. Esto no solo fue deshonesto, sino discriminatorio. Evita este lugar. Se benefician de engañar y amenazar a los clientes vulnerables.

05/07/2025: Nous recommandons ce restaurant qui est vraiment bon! J ai mangé du foie à la Vénitienne un délice!!! Les pâtes étaient très bonne aussi et le service excellent. Merci pour ce bon moment.

17/07/2026: Rude staff, 2 mojitos - one tasting like water with a little bit of rum flavor, the other tasting like very bland mojito (but closer to a mojito). We also ordered 2 normal, 1 virgin.(one of them was half empty as well) After we asked wich one was virgin, the woman was rude, said something in italian. Then we went to the bartender, she pointed at one of them, and it was not the virgin one. The virgin mojito was for a minor. Very bad experiance, do not recommend.

16/07/2026: Gelato is wonderful. This place is opened when mostly ever other place is closed for siesta. Prices are food, comunication is not the best what we get everything what we asked for. The waitress is watching if need to being something

12/04/2026: Unfortunately, this was a complete disappointment. My visit to Caffè Internazionale in Venice was awful. The food arrived within a minute, was cold, and had absolutely no flavor. Everything pointed to a rushed service. The service and the staff's behavior reflected this. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place.

30/03/2026: The worst cappuccino I've had in Italy, it tastes like it's made with water. The famous "sad" cappuccino! Rude, uncourteous service. Extremely expensive.

07/12/2025: Prices too high in my opinion, with portions not very balanced, in the past I had eaten a cutlet decidedly bigger than a fist, pork at too high prices, calling it mixed cut with a little polenta, large sandwiches but without accompaniments, I regretfully have to change my opinion after years, I remembered that this Dinner was the best!

05/12/2025: Worst place to have dinner. I don't recommend the pizza slices, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to wait too long. The staff is also rude.

12/06/2026: The food is decent, sure nothing culinary, but really good for a large campsite! The spaghetti vongole and pizzas were great!

08/06/2026: We ate there twice and were disappointed both times. First visit at lunchtime: Ordered: Bruschetta and Caesar salad. Waiting time was about 35 minutes despite the restaurant being almost empty (only 3 tables occupied). The bruschetta bread was so hard it was barely edible. The fitness salad only had 3 very small, dry pieces of chicken. Second visit in the evening: Ordered: 2 pizzas. This time the wait was 50 minutes!!! (even though only 2 tables ahead of us had ordered). The pizza dough was so hard it was almost impossible to cut the pizza—a disgrace by Italian standards!

04/08/2026: The worst place I've been to in all of Italy. The waitress didn't give us time to choose. Before we made a decision, she came over three or four times in three minutes to take our order. The cannoli was a mess – the photo showed pistachio cream inside, but what we got was a whipped cream filling sprinkled with a few pistachio crumbs. Even if everything was free, it was still overpriced.

09/07/2026: Unfriendly service; you're rushed into the shop and pressured to order. The pizza was frozen and tasted bad, and you have to pay an extra €2 per person.

12/05/2026: Cannot give less than one star otherwise this place would be in negative grounds. Unless you are a tourist the waiters will ignore you, there is no menu to check the prices, the quality of the food is terrible, the level of hygiene makes places like Calcutta look like the inside of a hospital. If you dare complain about anything the waiters will try to get rid of you as fast as possible. Beware they often claim their CC machine doesn't work, but only after you have eaten and force you to look for an ATM machine (you can also refuse to pay in cash as they should have warned you before they took your order) Worst experience I ever had in Venice and I wonder how it manages to survive with such a terrible reputation.

12/04/2026: We came in because we saw cannoli in the window and it looked tempting. We were two adults and two children, just planning to have a dessert and a coffee, without checking Google reviews beforehand. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed. The cannoli had almost no taste at all and it was more expensive as central. The coffee was okay, but nothing special. In the end, we had the feeling this was more of a tourist trap. The bill came to 42€ for 4 cannoli and 2 coffees, likely also including a coperto for all four of us, and we had to pay cash. Prices weren’t clearly displayed outside either, not for cannolis Overall, a rather disappointing experience – we wouldn’t recommend.
