07/06/2025: Premetto che sono cliente abituale del chiosco Alga Marina da almeno un decennio, probabilmente da due ( i miei figli, oggi universitari, hanno mosso i primi passi in questo luogo!). Non scrivo qui per difendere la serietà e la professionalità di chi qui lavora, sia titolare o dipendente: non ce n’è bisogno alcuno, per chi frequenta questo luogo. Scrivo solo per mettere in guardia chi, trovandosi a passare per caso, leggendo recensioni come le ultime lette, decidesse di non fare sosta al chiosco Alga Marina! Attenzione! Vi perdereste qualcosa! L’ambiente familiare non inganni: la cucina qui è davvero da consigliare! I piatti, freschi e leggeri, preparati con ingredienti selezionati, si possono accompagnare a ottimi vini di una cantina ben fornita che predilige produttori del territorio. Dispiace davvero leggere certe recensioni fasulle!

07/06/2025: Chiosco è riduttivo…il cibo di qualità all’altezza di un ristorante! Piatti sempre nuovi saporiti e conditi con amore e fantasia! Personale attento e gentile! Alla ricerca sempre di migliorare qualità e servizio!! Una garanzia. La scorsa settimana abbiamo degustato spaghetti all’astice freschissimo!!! Bravi bravi

31/05/2025: Be extremely cautious with this place—especially if you’re a foreign tourist. They seem to take advantage of language barriers and the fact that visitors may not be able to assert their consumer rights as confidently as they would in their home countries. We were a group of five friends. Everything seemed fine when we ordered, but then we were served a lasagna with overcooked, soggy pasta, and what were honestly the worst bruschettas we’ve ever had—soft bread topped with chopped tomatoes, lacking any flavor or texture. BUT THE WORST WAS YET TO COME. When it came time to pay, we were suddenly told that individual payments were not allowed. The bill could only be split into two equal parts, and this applied whether paying by card or even in cash—unless we had the exact amount, as they refused to give change. Let me be clear: no one informed us of this so-called “internal policy” before we ordered. One staff member—who later introduced himself as the “manager”—raised his voice and told us we had to “figure it out among ourselves” because they would not accept separate payments, even though we were paying with regular euros. He even mocked us, asking “What century do you live in?”, as if we were being unreasonable, when in fact, their rigid system is outdated and customer-hostile. I speak five world languages and have traveled across all five continents. Never—not even in other cities in Italy—have I encountered such an unprofessional and disrespectful experience. After the incident, I consulted my Italian lawyer, who confirmed that while restaurants in Italy may impose limits on how bills are split, this must be clearly communicated beforehand—before the order is placed. If this information is only disclosed at the end, the practice may be considered unfair or lacking transparency, in violation of the Italian Consumer Code. Furthermore, if there is embarrassment, pressure, or refusal to accept fair and lawful payment, the establishment may incur civil liability and be subject to formal complaint. In fact, even the restaurant’s website (accessed today) says absolutely nothing about this specific payment policy. I’m still considering whether to file a formal complaint with the country’s official tourism authorities.

21/05/2025: Excelente lugar, la pasta deliciosa y el servicio muy bueno. Precio vs producto de 💯 . Muy rico, super recomendable!! No se lo pierdan !!

05/06/2025: Beautiful hotel. There is nightlife until around 1am, but you can't hear it in the hotel.

25/04/2025: Very beautiful and particular place just a step away from the sea or the lagoon in summer it has an outdoor garden both for dining and for events very friendly and helpful staff, suitable for everyone, singles, families, evenings with friends, birthdays of all ages, in short, if you come to the Venice Lido you have to go there

14/04/2025: Good pizza, average, nothing special. I ordered through Dolivery (home delivery service), I was sent the wrong pizza by mistake, I called and they promptly resolved it, too bad that since there were two of us, we had to eat at different times.

03/05/2025: Menu includes 2 starters - 1 first course and 1 second course and coffee. Very small quantities (the first one must have been 50g of overcooked penne each, fisherman's style). The spaghetti with clams is a little more abundant but tastes like oil and garlic, the taste of the clams has been lost. Second course fried fish (1 sole, frozen prawns, frozen squid) good but there are much better ones for that price. They should cook and offer what fishing offers but nothing real. 50 euros is a tourist price but not deserved. The location is a typical big house but outside they could have maintained more of the naturalness and typicality of the place. Fake lawn and carpets are obscene.

04/05/2025: I went today to eat pizza and I would say the homemade tiramisu was excellent, the staff were excellent, very kind and friendly, I would say top marks, we are more than happy to go back ❤️

30/05/2025: Restaurant in Art Deco style and history. Service unfortunately subterranean... At first they thought they had forgotten about our reservation. Then they forgot about our starter and my friend was immediately served the main course. After 40 minutes we we‘ve Seen it all. The food was mediocre in the end, you can eat much better here in Venice. When we paid, we were also presented with the wrong bill. The service is not what it used to be. Unfortunately, we used to go here regularly, but no longer.

27/05/2025: Disappointment: fried meatballs as an appetizer arrived one overcooked and one undercooked, one hotter and one colder. Stewed meatballs as a second course served completely cold (error correctly recognized on the bill), cuttlefish in ink good but without squeaks. Typical and characteristic place.

19/05/2025: We were just wandering around and landed on this place, and it was great. For some reason I really like how they reasoning their food here, and the staff was amazing. The price is also good, the food is in a great portion, plenty to eat.

10/05/2025: I usually don’t rate but I’ve been trying to find places favored by the locals and ran into here staff were so kind and food was excellent, i only saw locals eating here while dining and food really felt like homefood. I think lot of people come here for tapas but food was really good

18/05/2025: A simple, clean restaurant with typical, authentic food. The quality and service are truly excellent! Prices are reasonable. If you want good, comfortable food, this is the place to go.

06/06/2025: Maleducazione regna sovrana. Mai cenato perché è impossibile prenotare. Proprietari molto maleducati che ti rimbalzano qua e là nella prenotazione.

02/06/2025: Pensavamo di aver scelto un buon ristorante ma purtroppo non abbiamo potuto constatarlo. Abbiamo ricevuto un rifiuto alle 13:38 e non certo il 30 settembre bensì l’1 giugno. Questo dimostra probabilmente una pancia piena più del dovuto. Ma il bello deve ancora venire, perché le signore del nostro gruppo raggiungendo il ristorante prima del resto della comitiva, chiedendo un tavolo erano state invitate ad accomodarsi e alla precisazione da parte loro di essere in cinque invece che due cambia tutto e la riposta è stata “no se siete cinque la cucina è chiusa”. Inutili le successive richieste di farci accomodare, “la cucina è chiusa” alle 13:38. Di certo rimane il rammarico per essere stati trattati davvero male.
