08/03/2025: Solo queríamos agarrar algo como la hora del almuerzo... tuvimos polenta (harina de maíz) con tripa que no fue muy probado; polenta con calamares era un poco mejor, el pollo al curry con arroz era el mejor entre los platos. La calidad es promedio, frecuentado por trabajadores de cuello azul, el servicio simplemente hace su trabajo, simplemente ok no extraordinario, pero la ubicación es muy central y los precios son los que a todos les gusta!

09/04/2025: Unique and absolutely positive experience! We had a really good time: the owner is very kind, knowledgeable and always available. We ate divinely - the meat was exceptional, cooked to perfection. The place is one of a kind, with attention to the smallest details. We had the pleasure of having lunch inside a real Orient Express carriage... a fascinating experience that surprised and won us over. We will definitely be back, and next time we will bring other friends with us!

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the owner was very courteous and explained all their dishes to us very well. I highly recommend a dinner.

11/03/2025: In a dated, large and distracting place, so much so as to be excessively noisy, there are many (too many) tables placed which are consequently arranged very close to each other and the pleasure of being at the table is affected. Unlike many emerging situations, the all you can eat proposal is still based on the "serve yourself" concept, which significantly increases the chaos in the restaurant and strongly affects the quality of what you take, given that the dishes are exposed to everyone before reaching your plate. The kitchen does not seem to be able to cope with "full" moments: tested on a Sunday for lunch, some dishes were raw or undercooked and the cleanliness of the counters/windows was affected. If you then look at the prices, these are in line with similar offers in the area but clearly high if you look at the quality of the place and the food. Final but most important note: is it possible that in 2025 such a place will not be equipped to guarantee access to people with disabilities? Between steps at the entrance, steps to access the toilets (the latter poorly signposted) and lack of specific equipment such as grab bars and so on, we are faced with a truly unacceptable situation. Not recommended.

19/01/2025: I read several reviews and I must say that I found them really exaggerated. In fact, the opposite is true. My experience has always been positive. The staff, despite being put in difficulty by agitated customers, always knew how to manage the situation in the best possible way. The food was well looked after as was the environment.

08/03/2025: Quattro Prof si trovano qua al Portego. Per me è stata una scoperta! Servizio ottimo. La portata della coscia d'oca non trova confronti come sapori e bontà! I dolci squisiti. L'unica cosa che non mi torna è il fatto che di venerdì c'erano pochi clienti. Mah? Se preferite andare in postacci e mangiare male... contenti voi.

26/02/2025: Ogni volta che sono a Cittadella vengo sempre qui, da anni. Uno dei posti del cuore....qui potrai "stare bene', gustare cucina veneta preparata con ingredienti di grande qualità, la carne in particolare. Poi la mitica coscia d'oca di Martino, la gaijna in saor, il bacalà alla vicentina, i ragù di cortile, le costate, le giardiniere.....Un posto decisamente particolare, dove l'architettura d'ambiente (Portego di nome e di fatto) ed il personale creano atmosfera personalissima. Il titolare, poi, il Signor Martino, è persona esperta e scrupolosa nella scelta delle materie prime ed è cuoco di grande capacità e simpatia, con quel pizzico di eclettismo che lo rende un personaggio affabile, gentile, divertente, curioso ma sempre con rispetto. Tanti complimenti Martino!

29/10/2024: Update: here is the expected diamond: we justify every insult (expressed by her!) for free with the fact that the wife is pregnant. I don't even know who you are, but I can say that in such situations the wife who defends so much was disrespectful. If I am absent for more or less time, it is nothing that concerns you, dear "pearls of wisdom". I recommend rest to pregnant people and above all a bit of lemon balm, chamomile, escolzia, valerian, oats... ever heard of it? The car on the sidewalk? But when ever? In this case, as good citizens you don't come out insulting, but you inform those responsible who will make their own assessments. Good and kind until you park the car in front of them. Despite being in a public place where there is no parking ban, in pure mafia style, the very kind woman goes out to scream and rant, flanked by her companion ready to intervene in another threatening manner. I'm curious to see the veiled response and to return to parking soon.

07/03/2025: I have gone to eat in this restaurant several times and I have always eaten well, not at excellent levels but with the right tone of Venetian home cooking. Excellent asparagus dishes formulated in all ways, from pickled asparagus to fried asparagus, even asparagus cake. The fried calamari and prawns are also excellent thanks to the nearby Chioggia fish market. I have always liked the home environment very much because it recalls the way of life of past years; however, since management passed to his son, prices have risen disproportionately to the type of service offered. If they could keep prices down a bit and offer a service that was a bit quicker and more efficient, they would be worthy of five stars.
