26/11/2025: Update, November 23, 2025: We finally managed to stay at this fantastic hotel. We had a wonderful time with our eight-month-old baby. The room was always super cozy, with all the amenities and comforts. The breakfast was truly excellent, with something for everyone, both sweet and savory. Overseen by the excellent Marco in the restaurant (and all his staff), as well as by the kindness of Marco at the front desk and the wonderful Mrs. Wanda. The price was truly competitive for a 4-star hotel with a convenient location for the beautiful Dolomites. Update, October 24, 2025: I stand by everything I said in my first review and add the kindness, courtesy, and patience of Mrs. Wanda, who assisted me with the booking and everything else. Very helpful and wonderful location. Thank you. 2019 Review Impressive and hidden location. It feels like arriving at a French castle. A delight to the eye. Spacious room. With a couple of minor flaws. 1. No nightstand on one side of the bed (ok if I'm alone, but two... One has to make do) 2. A fairly outdated TV with many channels blocked. 3. It takes a scientist to study the lighting control unit. And the air conditioning. Apart from these points, everything was fine. Jacuzzi shower, bathrobes, slippers, and everything else that makes it a ****. Free and fast WiFi. Smiling and pleasant staff, especially Marco in the restaurant, who prepared two superb eggs. With the help of his colleague Matteo. Even the ladies at reception smile and help the guests. I will definitely be back.

The food was excellent; we ate a bit of everything on the menu, and we noticed the quality of the locally sourced produce. Truly, congratulations! 15/02/2026: The food at Camin is excellent: every dish is carefully crafted and meticulously prepared, and the high-quality ingredients are clearly evident. The tartare with different seasonal accompaniments, the venison with raspberries, the pasta dishes, the cinnamon ice cream... every item on the menu is a guarantee. The owners are always attentive and very helpful, and the staff is professional, kind, and knowledgeable. We visit Cortina several times a year, and it's a must-visit for us. Highly recommended!

04/09/2025: The food was simple, very well priced and delicious. Who I assume is the owner works hard and it really shows. We came at peak lunch hour and she was so efficient with service and making everyone welcome. She even took the time to explain the menu to me despite how busy it was - and it was just her handling the front of house! Very warm and welcoming. Even the loo was thought out with a lot of care and nice touches. A great place to grab a quick bite and the compact menu changes all the time so you get great food but variety too. I paid €14 for a salad, bread, water, meal and espresso. It was a proper experience of casual, efficient dining - inside or out as they had seating outside with umbrellas. Strikes me as a bistrot with lovely details in both decor and even the music. And I made my flight with time to spare. Perfect for an affordable meal, especially if you don’t have loads of time. When you see regulars you know you found a good place!

05/10/2025: My wife and I have tried a few michelin starred restaurants and this one stands out, cannot recommend it highly enough. They explain how their farm works, the dairy production/crops/animals. They talked about how the uneaten food is recycled to their animals. They talked about how they were using ingredients in non traditional ways to stick to their farm to table ethos (such as preparing celery in such a way as to get sugar out of it). Really fascinating stuff. The food was absolutely phenomenal. We loved the amuse bouche with peas (pictured). Their rye bread and butter were incredibly special (pictured). The main was beef tongue w/ this herbal ragout that was fantastic. A wonderful surprise was being able to see their cheese making in the basement while having the housemade cheese course (pictured). They were kind and flexible to dietary restrictions and the amount of alcohol you wanted to drink (you could order a wine pairing or just glass-by-glass pairings with your meal. the wine pairing was like 8-10, my wife got 3). I made reservations a couple weeks prior to our vacation there, no issue.
