05/02/2025: Seconda volta in questo ristorante dopo l'anno scorso e, come in precedenza, è stata un'ottima esperienza. Cibo buonissimo e personale cordiale e disponibile. Abbiamo preso diversi antipasti: insalatina di carciofi, dadolata di cervo e cotechino, tutti buonissimi e ben presentati. A seguire canederli in brodo, cuore di cervo, maiale cotto a bassa temperatura, cervo con il suo fondo e tagliata di Black Angus:davvero uno più squisito dell'altro...anche i dolci eccellenti e le grappe di loro produzione una vera chicca. Posto super consigliato

05/11/2024: Stayed for one night to be close to the start of the trek. Nothing to complain about, rooms a bit 90s style but very comfortable, warm beds and everything very clean. Very kind and helpful staff, no problems even if we arrived late. At breakfast there was fresh bread with jam, very fresh speck and cheese.

11/09/2024: We stayed at La Baita during our girl friends Dolomites trip. We were delighted by the clean room and rustic mountain decorations. The food was the best we have had so far at Italy. We were challenged by the Italian public transportation system. The hosts were extremely helpful and went out of their way to arrange taxi for us at early morning. They even set breakfast specifically for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Baita.

27/02/2025: Buongiorno, ieri siamo stati a pranzo per festeggiare il compleanno di mia cugina. Avevamo prenotato specificando che avevamo un persona disabile in carrozzina. Con ns grande disappunto appena arrivati abbiamo trovato uno scalino in entrata e adirittura 2 scalini ravvicinati per arrivare alla sala da pranzo. La cameriera non ha saputo dirci come mai non ci era stato detto. Per non creare altre tensioni, con l'aiuto di qualche buona anima che stava pranzanzo , siamo riusciti a entrare. Ovviamente siamo stati tutto il tempo con il pensiero per la difficiltà che avremmo avuto per uscire. Il pranzo è stato buono e veloce. Il conto nella norma. Al momento di andarcene non abbiamo avuto nessun aiuto da parte del personale, nessuna scusa per i disagio .....totale indifferenza. A ns parere fare ristorazione nel 2025 non è solo cucinare ma avere cura del cliente. Per le persone disabili anche un solo gradino può essere un problema. Ci vuole sensibilità e non pensare solo a sfornare pietanze.

08/02/2025: Cena di 10 persone. Mangiato divinamente. Porzioni abbondanti. Il cuoco nonché titolare Walter molto bravo nella preparazione delle pietanze. Il locale era pieno di clienti. Sala curata e calorosa. Cameriera gentile e veloce nel servizio. Qualità/prezzo ottimo. Consigliatissimo.

04/05/2025: Posto incantevole con vista sulla vallata del Piave Nonostante sia in cima ad una montagnola (1000m) era pieno di gente, noi abbiamo mangiato fuori , al coperto però. Personale gentilissimo, specialmente cameriere brasiliana. Avevamo voglia di mangiare della buona polenta e ci siamo riusciti!!! Pietanze buone , però pensavo portassero uno spiedo (fatto con il sistema che gira sul fuoco) invece era uno "Spiedone" buono, ma forse cotto al forno. Vino , birra e limoncello sulla norma , tirami sù buono conto giusto. PS anche in locali più rinomati, è da un po' che non assaggio uno spiedo da Formula uno. Forse, diceva mia nonna "ci vorrebbero un po di tedeschi" ricordando le guerre. Siamo diventati tutti un po' difficilini.

30/04/2025: DO NOT EAT HERE!! Not only did the manager not want to serve us half of the menu because he didn't want to free up a place on his grill, after having negotiated for a hot dog, I received a kind of burnt bread with two pieces of very disgusting sausage! Look at the photos if you don't believe me! (the “hot dog” costs 5 euros). Dear Sir, the rest of my message is addressed to you, I know that you are used to responding to comments left by your customers, I saw that I was not the only one to leave a negative comment, I think it would be time to question ourselves! I know you will come up with a bogus excuse again, don't waste your time I won't read your response.

25/02/2025: Great place to spend a relaxing weekend. The structure is really beautiful, well-kept and very comfortable. As for the food, you can clearly feel that the raw materials used are of high quality, and this is then reflected in the taste of the dishes offered. Lovely place, suitable for everyone. Highly recommended.

25/05/2025: Great sandwiches. No service. I'm referring to the ATM that for 3 consecutive years during the celebrations of San Giorgio, coincidentally does not work. I had to give up the order we had made.

21/03/2025: Beautiful chalet on the slopes. We had lunch today and yesterday we enjoyed a delicious cake. The dishes served today were excellent and characteristic of the area. Kind people, wood-heated interior and large outdoor spaces.

25/02/2025: In zona per lavoro , visto il cartello del ristorante mi sono fermato. Da fuori effettivamente non sembra un locale molto moderno, ma di solito l’abito non fa il monaco. Purtroppo, in questo caso, la visita dell’esterno perfettamente globale vecchio tenuto male un arredamenti anni 70, luci bassissime ambiente veramente angusto. Passato questo plasma la visione del menu purtroppo esprime un locale anche banale nelle proposte. Il Peggio deve ancora venire… Ordino un’insalata verde, un secondo ed un contorno, chiedo il condimento per l’insalata per tre volte ma la cameriera mi risponde sempre di sì ma non lo chiedo… Mi interpello penso la strada e mi risponde la cameriera non parla italiano mi chiedo il condimento anche a lei e mi dice che l’insalata è già condita. Per me è già abbastanza arrivederci e grazie

12/01/2025: Back after a few years. This place remains a sound option for quality dining in the area. The a la carte menu contained several appealing item (a few of them not available on the the day, but replaced by other attractive ones), but we went for the "water" 5 course menu (the other two are "earth" and a mixed one). The cuisine is personal and never run-of-the-mill, with good ingredients. Some dishes were decidedly impressive - we especially liked the first two, a trout in a sort of hollandaise sauce; and a stuffed squid in a delicious tomato sauce, a pleasant contrast in style with the preceding one. The other dishes were less spectacular, either because of imperfection (tuna very salty), or simply because they did not pack such a punch in terms of flavour. But they were all enjoyable and we finished them all with pleasure. The room is quite intimate and welcoming. Service is friendly. Prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the produce and of the cooking. I hope this small restaurant, by now an institution in the area, which attracts both locals and tourists like us, continues to thrive.
