We were on the road and stopped after seeing the reviews and the gorgeous photos online. Well, it's absolutely AMAZING!!! I highly recommend it. The road is a bit mountainous, but it's definitely worth it! Excellent food, magnificent location, and the lady dressed in an "antique" theme was truly kind! Unfortunately, the castle is closed for a wedding, but we'll definitely be back to visit!

A wonderful experience, beautiful settings inside the restaurant, top-notch food, and very friendly staff. You can also visit the castle (highly recommended) and then go see the Blue Grotto, even though the route is theoretically closed.

We stopped for lunch on our way back from a weekend out of town. Everyone was so kind, quick to serve and deliver the food, which was truly delicious! A wonderful surprise at the gates of an equally beautiful medieval castle. Reservations recommended!

It's located in the small hamlet below Zumelle Castle. We went with our family on May 1st for the Heroes and Princesses at the Castle event. From a structural standpoint, there's nothing to complain about. It truly feels like being in another era, a truly rare style to find! However, being a restaurant, you expect a certain level of service, with wait staff well-informed about the foods and dishes offered on the menu; something that was completely lacking! We ordered two cutlets, a sliced ​​steak, and wild boar with honey, if I'm not mistaken. The cutlet was small, the cut itself was nothing special in terms of flavor and tenderness, but average. The wild boar with honey, however, was good, with a truly excellent flavor. They also have three gluten-free beers available for celiacs, and I give them credit for that. I would recommend training the staff more; although they were kind and, above all, well-dressed for the theme, they often seemed unfamiliar with the menu. The prices are slightly excessive for what you get.

Impeccable service in beautiful period costumes, exquisite food and drinks with some medieval-style reinterpretations, and a very characteristic and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Excellent service from Simona and Massimo, in the kitchen the chef Maurino amazed us with his well-cooked dishes with top quality raw materials.

I surprised my girlfriend with a medieval dinner at the tavern for her birthday. The impact of the lights on the road leading up to the castle was magical. Tiziana and Antonio welcomed us with fantastic service. We'll be back in the future for themed events.

I was there yesterday, January 6, 2026, with my wife, and based on my experience, I can only confirm all the positive reviews about the atmosphere, the kind and attentive staff (starting with Mrs. Tiziana), and the tasty, high-quality food. We'll definitely be back, even with friends.
