26/09/2025: 🍽️ A memorable lunch at Ristorante Tobolo in Candide Four of us had lunch at Ristorante Tobolo, and the experience was truly excellent. The Casunziei and the Spezzatino were simply exquisite: carefully prepared, tasty, and perfectly balanced dishes that showcase local tradition with authenticity and passion. The service was impeccable: kindness, friendliness, and attentiveness accompanied us throughout the meal, making the atmosphere even more pleasant. A place that combines authentic flavors and a warm welcome.

06/09/2025: We ordered a Cimbrian dish, which included a side of sauerkraut and polenta. We politely asked if a spoonful of beans could be substituted for the polenta. No problem, they replied. "Okay." We received the Cimbrian dish and some beans with onion on the side. We immediately told them that it wasn't supposed to be a side dish other than the beans, but just a variation on the dish instead of the polenta. They told us not to worry. "Okay." They told me that they didn't have tagliatelle with chanterelles on the menu, and since it's in season and we're in the mountains, I ordered that dish. What I received was about 70 grams of overcooked tagliatelle pasta, with a tomato sauce, and about a chanterelle cut into 2-3 tiny pieces that I couldn't even taste, completely covered in the flavor of the tomato sauce. When the time came, sure they'd ask me for the beans on the side (I was expecting them), they listed the Cimbrian dish, the beans, and I immediately stopped her, saying I'd made it clear several times that I only wanted them as a substitution and not as an extra course, so she cancelled it. Instead, she charged me 14 euros for the tagliatelle with tomato sauce (probably to make up for the loss of the mushrooms). It wasn't as if there were any gold nuggets inside, given that the menu offers tagliatelle with venison ragudi for 11 euros. I'm a professional chef and an entrepreneur, so... Never again!!

31/08/2025: Lunch at the end of August, three adults, a lovely, quaint place. We were satisfied with the first courses, second courses, and desserts, all reasonably priced. 2 appetizers, 2 first courses, a second course, a dessert, a coffee, 1/2 liter of house wine, and 2 bottles of water: €79.00 However, it's unclear how they can charge for tap water, even microfiltered, and therefore locally sourced, as stated on the bottle label: €4.00 per liter! (A 0.75-liter bottle: €3.00, to be precise.)

22/09/2025: A spectacular refuge on the road to the Piave River Springs from Cima Sappada, easily accessible by car. Delicious traditional dishes; we ordered tagliatelle with venison ragù and tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, as a main course, along with the ever-present frico. Highly recommended.

18/09/2025: Worth a stop after a day of trekking in Val Sesis. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is lovely with outdoor seating. There's a running fountain next to the refuge.

08/12/2025: Superlative welcome from Mrs. Giusy. Excellent lunch served by a very kind and courteous waiter. The wine that accompanied the courses was good. An unexpected surprise was the "welcome entrée" with delicious finger foods...delicious! Compliments to Chef Gabriele, because it was a culinary experience we'll definitely repeat. The first and second courses were excellent. I really appreciated the fresh flowers on the restaurant tables; most of the time they're always plastic and covered in dust! Thank you, and see you next time! My rating: 10+1

07/12/2025: An intimate and pleasant place, with very friendly service. Refined cuisine, the dishes taste incredible!! Recommended for a different kind of evening, where you want to indulge in delicious food.

27/10/2025: A beautiful, recently renovated mountain hut. Excellent dishes using local ingredients, excellent service; they even found us a table even though they were full and we hadn't booked. Prices are in line with the service offered.

07/12/2025: Quick stop on the way to Sappada. Excellent sandwiches and pasta dishes. Very quick. If you're on the road and want a quick lunch, I recommend it.

12/11/2025: A great discovery with a pleasant surprise! The food is truly excellent, with carefully prepared and tasty dishes. The service is friendly and attentive, immediately putting you at ease. The atmosphere is perhaps a little cold, but overall pleasant and in keeping with the restaurant's style. Definitely a place we'll gladly return to!

21/10/2025: The grilled chicken was a bit dry, but most importantly, the portion of mixed vegetables was paltry. Three or four millimeter-thick slices...for €6, it doesn't seem right. Otherwise, the service was quick and the atmosphere informal.

20/09/2025: Unfortunately it was closed, but we'll be back. The view is fantastic, and the owners, Raffaella and Vincenzo, are incredibly sweet. A must-see if you go to Auronzo. After 3 years, we finally managed to come. Vincenzo's dishes are delicious and very generous. 😅 Raffaella is very attentive to the service, which is impeccable! 18/09/2025: The prices are spectacular for a place like this, the owner is very friendly, and most importantly, they allow dogs. The food is very good, and the beer selection is also spectacular. We recommend it 100%.

06/11/2025: I'm very sorry to have to write this review about a place I frequent often and where I've always found kindness and good service. This morning, however, I had an unpleasant experience. I politely pointed out to the young barista, wearing large dark glasses, that cups should be picked up by the handle and not the rim, for simple hygiene reasons, considering she handles money and other things. The response I received was, unfortunately, impolite and inappropriate. I was told that she should wash her hands every time, which left me perplexed, given that the cup handle is there precisely to prevent this type of contamination. I drank a good coffee with a rather unpleasant sensation. I write this comment with regret, because on other occasions I've always found the staff kind and attentive—especially the young Mrs. D., who usually serves at the counter, who is always courteous and helpful.
