This is the best restaurant of the trip. It's incredibly delicious for the price. I had the oven-roasted pork leg and the sirloin, and they were excellent.

La Tavernetta di Cortina is exceptional. The authenticity of the place is combined with the careful selection of raw materials used. The cured meats, first courses, second courses, and especially the pizza (I recommend their schiacciata with prosciutto and burrata) are excellent, and everything is accompanied by an excellent, carefully curated wine list. Add to this the helpful staff and the constant presence of the owners in the dining room, always attentive to customers but with a mix of discretion and familiarity. A place to which it's a pleasure to return.

A pizza just like you'd imagine and wish for in Italy – incredibly delicious. The €3 cover charge per person was unnecessary, so I didn't need to tip.

Great pizza , one of the better we had during our trip. Pasta seemed very fresh as well.
There was quite a line for us, we waited around 30 mins but I thought it was worth the wait.

Such a wonderful place! Highly recommend!
We came across it while walking around in Cortina, and loved how it was tucked away and has a very friendly relaxed vibe.
It has both indoor and outdoor seating area.
The servers were speaking perfect English, while also being kind and patient with ha practicing our Italian. The food was really good - especially the pizza and the strudel!

Gemini mentioned this restaurant is famous for its traditional Ampezzo regional cuisine and authentic Italian handmade pasta, so I decided to give it a try. The menu features cute illustrations that make it easy to understand. I'd never had Casunzei all'Ampezzana before; the half-moon shaped handmade dumplings filled with sweet red beetroot were quite unique. The Pasta al Ragù, with its chewy, handmade wide noodles soaked up the rich meat sauce, was also delicious. The sirloin steak was reminiscent of Taiwanese night market steaks, and the wood-fired pizza was also tasty.
