01/09/2025: Worth repeating. An unexpected but successful experience.

24/08/2025: An excellent trattoria, just like the ones from times gone by, where you feel right at home. The owner is very approachable, cheerful, and professional. The food takes you back to ancient flavors and is, above all, delicious. Homemade pasta is extraordinary. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area.

12/08/2025: Average service, the two waitresses were friendly. As for the food, it was truly disappointing. We had an appetizer of cured meats and pecorino, but instead of pecorino, they had a completely different type of cheese. The cuts of meat were badly cooked and completely soaked in oil. I think a cooking class by the chef wouldn't be bad. And finally, the side of baked potatoes was inedible, old and flavored with some spices that didn't quite fit. It's a shame that we ended up here during our two-day stop in Orvieto.

27/07/2025: The food was good, average Umbrian fare. The portions were very generous and filling (especially the appetizer), but nothing special. The value for money is okay. The ambiance is pleasant, but if you sit outside, you have to expect cars to drive past you. The service was attentive and friendly.

04/08/2025: I didn't stay, I was just passing through but the place truly enchanted me so much that I want to spend some time there, suitable for rest and relaxation.

24/07/2025: It takes a long time to get there, the last kilometers are even without asphalt. Our room has a wonderful view of the lake. But - there is no air conditioning in the room! In the hot summer months, this can be simply dangerous to health. Dinner in the fireplace room of the castle is impressive. The food and wine are varied and delicious.

20/08/2025: Excellent shop for quality sandwiches and authentic flavors. Average price is €6 per sandwich, with a variety of cured meats, local cheeses, and porchetta. The bread is also delicious, making it a great quick and tasty lunch without too much crowd.

18/08/2025: Delicious sandwiches. I recommend the tuff burger with zucchini. I'm in heaven.

26/08/2025: Good tasted good enough. However, we sat outside the kitchen with window into kitchen own. EVERYTHING hot was microwaved which accounts the how quickly the food arrives.

23/08/2025: We had lunch in this magical, very welcoming place. The homemade pasta was delicious, the tomato sauce sublime. You could taste the love in the dishes. The owner was very friendly and genuine. It's true, sometimes a street vendor selling socks would come by, but that doesn't detract from the place's charm, much less the quality of the food and service. The coffee is also delicious and not at all predictable. Well done!

01/09/2025: We found this pizzeria using Google Maps. It had great reviews and we were very hungry. It was definitely a good choice, a nice waitress took care of us, we spoke English very well and even talked about the area. We definitely recommend it.

03/08/2025: We're having a birthday party on Saturday night, and on Friday afternoon, I call to order four pans of pizza. After several attempts to contact the pizzeria, I get a response and am told to call back Saturday morning because the owner was afraid she'd lose the order slip. I stop by that afternoon and order the pizzas for Saturday night at 7:00 PM. The next day, I show up to pick up the pizzas and, after waiting about an hour, to my dismay, I discover that they weren't even remotely ready because there had been a mistake and the order had been marked for Sunday. I'm told to come back later and they'll try to make the pizzas. Moral of the story: I managed to get the pizza at 9:00 PM with a measly €5 discount on the total...

27/08/2025: We dropped in for lunch and were completely delighted by everything we tried; wine, antipasto, primo, and dolce - it's a must! Waitstaff is particularly attentive and friendly.

30/07/2025: Vi spiste en herlig lunsj her. Nydelig mat og vin, og eksepsjonelt god service. Vi fikk smake ulike årganger av balsamico og andre lokale produkter. Trøffelen var nydelig! Denne restauranten kan absolutt anbefales.

17/07/2025: We had a nice Umbrian pasta with truffle accompanied with a glass of Orvieto Classico superiore. Tasted perfectly.

31/05/2025: It is said to have been restored in 1926, along with its dodecagonal tower. While it is a typical Romanesque basilica, its modern restoration has incorporated elements of later architectural styles, including Gothic, creating a sense of familiarity yet freshness.

29/07/2025: A beautiful and welcoming place. You can sit and admire the Orvieto Cathedral in complete relaxation. Excellent food. I highly recommend the truly spectacular platter. The first courses are also noteworthy. Fantastic! The staff is truly kind and exquisite; the owner is a unique person, affable, helpful, and always smiling. He puts his customers at ease with his professionalism and helpfulness. I highly recommend this place to anyone in Orvieto looking for a beautiful and relaxing evening.

10/09/2025: I'm sorry I can't review the quality of the food, but the rudeness and arrogance of the waitress made us leave before we could try anything. After a long wait at the table, no one had even looked at us. When we asked if we could get something from the counter because our bus was arriving and we had to leave, we were rudely verbally attacked. She didn't have time, so we left. What a shame!

09/09/2025: Good food, I had the Rabbit, my wife had the Cannelloni and a mixed vegetable salad. Service was ok, but we ordered water with gas and got plain. It was not a big deal. Place had a fun, lively atmosphere.

12/07/2025: I was drawn in by the tasteful jazz music and on first site the menu looked good, but a huge but indeed there is, mediocre quality of the food there is, chicken liver pate was dried out on the sides therefor not fresh garnished with orange zest bitter as hell and some dried out truffle shaving and on top some gin jelly, the sweet bread served with it made it bearable but overall bitter was the code word. the carbonara afterwards, served close to cold salted as it was made by someone whose taste buds stopped functioning a long time ago, a waste of food. Another remark, our wineglasses where poured conservatively compared to our American "neighbours" and this twice. Overpaid for what is was worth. not to say to avoid this place but consider yourself warned, the charming Jazz music is the only thing positive here *edit ,you're right the comment about the Conservative pouring the glasses was childish of me, it was a factual statement but not one that killed it for me. The ET remark? how inappropriate and unprofessional , my comment about the food was, again, factual, the pate was dried out on the borders ...read :a darker colour when too long exposed in open air , every knows that, no? the Gin Jelly Bread? Not well balanced in my opinion, I'm merely pointing out how this was perceived, why is this, again, being criticised with a childish remark? Instead of countering this review as an insult to your bigger than life service try to do better, be critical about how this service was perceived and improve. And for your knowledge , your Neighbour restaurant ( on your left side when you face your own) was absolutely fabulous. Food, wine , service, it missed the great music tough, so when it's good I write very very positive reviews. May the force e with you, yours truly, ET

04/07/2025: An absolutely delightful dinner from start to finish. The service was warm and attentive, with excellent recommendations that made our evening even more enjoyable. After bringing our “La Dolce Vita” program to Bistrò Miranda, we knew we had to return to savour a meal ourselves—and it did not disappoint. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. A true gem in Orvieto.
