07/03/2025: We tried to eat lunch here, the place was only half full and the lady tried to force us to sit at a tiny table crammed up against others and wouldn't let us sit at one of the free tables for 4 people, even though the busiest part of lunch is well over at 1.30pm on a weekday in March. We went to il negozietto instead and had a lovely lunch

01/11/2024: One of the best pizzerias by the slice in Orvieto, now my favorite because it is superior to all the others. Strategically located a stone's throw from Piazza della Repubblica along the city street, it is appreciated for many products, wages and sweets. But the pizza is really excellent with tasty and never heavy dough, as well as being cooked to perfection and well seasoned. You absolutely must try the white one, mozzarella, mortadella and pistachio...a true pleasure of flavours. Very kind and friendly people. UPDATE SEPTEMBER 2024 It's no longer good, it's totally messed up with unleavened and super thin pizza. Furthermore, it seems that they forgot the order and gave us something that had been remedied. It happens that you can make a mistake but it should be calmly told to the customer.....not made fun of!!! UPDATE OCTOBER 2024 we stopped going there, they screwed up several times. On the last occasion they had clearly forgotten the order and we were asked to come back after 30 minutes. They gave us some botched, old white and reheated pizza on which they had added the ingredients of the type requested. After years as customers, being treated like this is an insult and absolutely not acceptable!!!

16/03/2025: Beautiful place surrounded by greenery. Clean room, plentiful breakfast, and excellent dinner. I highly recommend it. And not to mention the friendliness of all the staff.

25/12/2024: Sono stata per la prima volta in questo delizioso agriturismo per il classico Pranzo di Natale in famiglia. Come già detto la location è deliziosa e si può mangiare anche fuori naturalmente non a dicembre… ma veniamo al menu che ,come da prassi, per questi eventi è fisso . Si apre con un aperitivo servito con prosecco e cono di carta ripieno di fetta di formaggio delizioso, salumi ed olive, per proseguire con un tortino di patate, carciofi e zucca, poi i primi 2 assaggi di umbrichelli di pesto di broccoli e ravioli ripieni di faraona . Il secondo era manzo alle erbette con patate al forno insaporite da finocchio. Per concludere il dolce era un cannolo di pandoro con crema all’ arancia, assaggi di panettone e tozzetti il tutto della casa e per concludere caffe . Il tutto 45€ …. Consigliatissimo

18/02/2025: The place doesn't look bad, but the staff is spotty: it's obvious that it's not their job. The arrogant and rude owner made us pay a high bill even though a dish was sent back because it was wrong (it was also on the bill). The usual diatribe if you pay cash it's 60 otherwise 70 with the card, okay but we've gotten used to this. highly not recommended to avoid ruining your day. Never again!

17/02/2025: Purtroppo abbiamo avuto un problema con il proprietario che, pur avendo noi notificato un problema e, rimandato indietro un primo, si è mostrato ostile e privo di capacità di ascolto. I prezzi sono spropositati e non concordi con la media. In più, il personale di sala mostrava un chiaro imbarazzo e disagio,forse solito del posto. Spero davvero trovino un lavoro migliore. PS: le parole del propietario furono: "Noi, da quando entri qui con la macchina sappiamo già cosa mangerai e quanto spendi"

15/02/2025: If you are looking for a restaurant in the historic center of Orvieto that offers delicious Umbrian cuisine and a welcoming atmosphere, "La Buca di Bacco" is the right place! The dishes are fantastic, like the forest-scented umbrichelli with sausage and porcini mushrooms, and the umbrichello with Norcia black truffle. Furthermore, all dishes can be gluten-free. Don't forget to admire the splendid medieval Etruscan cave located under the restaurant. An experience not to be missed!

13/02/2025: Food was meh by Italy standards and everything from the stalish bread for the cover, the wine and the desert was a bit of the up sell or up price. Nothing awful but much better options in Orvieto. Most def don't order from the un-priced chalkboard menu without checking price first.

09/02/2025: The pizzas were delicious, with generous toppings, good dough, and at a fair price. The chickens looked really good too, but we weren't hungry after the pizza.

05/03/2025: Such a treasure! Owned by mother and son, Alessandro is always ready with a warm welcome and a kind word. And I’m grateful he is fluent in English. His mother, Maria Grazia, has a gift in the kitchen. Whatever she’s cooking, I’m having. I’ve been going here for a couple of years and have never been disappointed. But this time, Maria Grazia’s lasagna topped them all. Remarkably tender and flavorful, perfectly balanced, every ingredient present without one overshadowing the others. Such skill. If you have a chance to order her frittata, do. It’s the ultimate comfort food. Paired with a Cantina Foresi Orvieto Classico, you can’t go wrong. Plus! The location and ambiance cannot be beaten. Do it.

09/02/2025: I had an amazing time on my Italy 🇮🇹 trip and I would like to say that Tony was a part of that. The friendly and welcoming service by Tony was awesome. I had a great time at Blue Bar with my wife and her sisters. The atmosphere was electric. We stayed for hours, singing, drinking, eating and just enjoying nice conversations. I would highly recommend checking out this place if you are in Orvieto.
