I went here in 2016 and I still think about it - it was some of the best food I have ever eaten. Carlo's Bruscetta and his Tiramisu live on in my dreams.

I went with my son on a casual trip to Orvieto.
After a peculiar exchange while waiting for our table, we laughed and joked about it with the owner and his partner.

We went there as a family on June 2nd. We hadn't booked because we decided to visit Orvieto at the last minute since we were in Umbria for the long weekend. The restaurant was packed, but the owner kindly found us a table. We ate very well: an appetizer of cured meats, cheeses, and chickpea crostini, and homemade pasta with Chianina ragù. The quality of the ingredients is truly excellent. I don't think those who complain about the prices often eat out.

This evening, at the recommendation of a friend of mine who lives in Orvieto, I had dinner with friends at this restaurant.
Beautiful and original location, courteous and attentive service, very good food.
In short....highly recommended and highly recommended.

Carlo was so accommodating and welcoming. He took care of our big group (20 people) like we were family. The food was amazing, the best we had on the whole trip. The setting was idyllic. I plan to go back next time I'm in Orvietto. Totally worth it.

Contemplated between 3 and 4 stars and finally rounded it down.
The service was Okey, Carlo contributed much to it with his smile.
The food quality was at 3 stars. Rucola was not fresh. The tomatoes in the salad were tasteless. The tomato sauce of chicken and the meat were pretty much the same.
Last but not least, we were charged 4 cover tax despite being just 2 people. When I mentioned that, they immediately returned the over charged amount. Now I spot that while we ordered a bottle of Ambra Grigia which is 22 in the menu, the charge was 24 euro.
Make your conclusions yourself.
Without the wine we had a lunch of 35 euro for each.
