Excellent Neapolitan pizza in the center of Orvieto! Too bad we sometimes eat out

One of the best pizzas I've eaten outside of Naples, I'll be back

Nice environment in design, but inside it cracked from the heat. Waiting time a little long (maybe because there were a few people.) Normal potato croquette. Very good pizza.

I booked a table for 9pm on a Friday night, so the place was very full. In fact, the minutes of waiting both for taking the order and for the arrival of the dishes was quite long. The room inside is very small. There is a mezzanine with 6 tables, where you are quite cramped and very warm. However, around 10pm the food arrived, and it was very good, both the margherita and the potato croquette. Recommended place, maybe I wouldn't recommend it on Fridays and weekends due to the large flow of people and the wait.

Let me start by saying that I am a lover of Neapolitan cuisine, but that I am not of Campania origin. I had been looking for a place worthy of being called "true Neapolitan" in the surrounding area for some time. Well, this little jewel nestled in the heart of Orvieto, which I found yesterday 'by chance', impressed me positively, from the booking to the bill, which was really reasonable. The pizza, very, very Neapolitan. The most Neapolitan I could find without traveling more than 100km. I tried two, one more 'simple', one more 'elaborate', but both amazed us with their enjoyable and pleasant taste and their digestibility (I am writing the review the next day on purpose). The supplì were very good, clearly handcrafted, as were the side dishes: courgettes with a truly balanced sweet and sour sauce and friarelli... what can I say, I didn't think I would find them so authentic close to home, so far from Campania... a poem (see photo). The location, obviously, simple and accompanied by goodness; we had dinner on the mezzanine floor, above the wood oven, for fear that 'in the outdoor area' (albeit closed and heated), it would be a bit cold for the children, but it wasn't necessary... next time, and we will it will certainly be a next time, I will ask for a place in Piazza del Popolo (definitely spectacular in summer). Speaking of children, french fries, top notch, not heavy, tasty and different from the usual ones from classic restaurants. To conclude, a delightfully Neapolitan place a stone's throw from home, without frills and with lots of authenticity, both in the ingredients and in the staff, always courteous throughout your stay. Compliments.
