02/04/2024: Easter dinner, full from lunch but we couldn't miss this gem. Luckily we managed to find a place by booking a few days in advance. The restaurant is located in one of the most beautiful squares in Bevagna, in a slightly secluded street. As soon as you enter you immediately understand that you have entered a very characteristic place, all in stone, it seems like you have stepped back in time. We sit at a secluded table also because we had a small furry friend (so they couldn't give us better seats), the only flaw (perhaps) was that the cell phone didn't work. From the menu we read a good choice for all courses. We opt for 2 appetizers: lard and ciauscolo crostini and butter and anchovies crostini. After a very short wait we are served and we are amazed by the fact that simplicity always enhances quality. For the first courses we opted for homemade cappelletti with porcini mushrooms, very good, and the main dish for over 30 years: His Majesty "Gnocchi with Sagrantino Passito". I must confirm that the 30 years of trials and combinations behind us can actually be felt. They are really good, I hoped they would never run out. For dessert, a must cheesecake, which is also good.

31/03/2024: The only things about this place are the room, which is really nice, the location, practically in the best area of ​​the historic centre, and the prices, which are absolutely affordable. As for the food, however, I was disappointed. The x2 tasting does not deserve and offers nothing special, in my personal opinion. The first, chitarrini with white ragú and truffle left me perplexed. You could barely see the ragù and you couldn't smell the truffle at all. The grilled potato and dessert were also disappointing.

16/03/2024: scrivono opzione senza glutine e non sanno neanche che significa essere celiaco, dicono che non c'è problema e poi ti cuociono la pizza senza glutine nel forno a legna dove fanno le altre pizze..... in alternativa abbiamo preso la tagliata ( spezzatino di carne durissimo) e fredda, ma prima la pasta, dura come la pietra con sugo piuttosto acido. Che dire, una bellissima gita ad Assisi, ma con cena da incubo, da dimenticare.

This is absolutely the best pizza I have ever eaten, and not only among Neapolitan pizzas, but the best ever among all pizzas. Finally a buffalo mozzarella that is a real buffalo, a tomato that is not sour as to disturb the palate. Really top. Staff attentive to customer care, kind and friendly. Prices are more than honest, given the high quality of the products used. If you want to eat a good Neapolitan pizza, you must necessarily go to Vesuvius! In famiglia (6 persone) pranzo di Pasqua, abbiamo mangiato tante cose diverse - menzione di merito alla Tartare alla fonduta e alla Lasagna Pasquale (con asparagi) davvero buoni. Ottima carta dei vini (noi abbiamo optato per uno locale) e dolci davvero ben fatti. in 6 220€ (ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo) Bravi davvero e ottimo lavoro! Alla prossima!
