15/07/2025: We spent 4 days in this special place. My partner and I can only say thanks to Jacopo, Luciano, Estela, Valentina and Elvira for their availability, kindness and what can I say? Arriving in this place is like touching the sky with a finger. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a bit of peace and serenity within themselves. Unfortunately it didn't last long, but what you have transmitted to us is worth a lot. A pesto

20/08/2025: I hate to give such negative reviews, but I can't help it here. Lured by the excellent reviews, we stopped for dinner for burgers. We weren't given the best advice on how to feed our two-year-old. Thinking about getting chicken, we were told it was soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. Well, the chicken was a mess. If it had been a dish for an adult, I wouldn't have eaten it. It was inedible, dry, and tough. It wasn't made at the right time, definitely not that day, and it was reheated the next day. It's appreciated that we didn't ask for it, and they remade our dish. We tasted a bit different, but it still wasn't a success. Another sore point was the burgers. The meat was good, as were the seasoning and the combinations. The problem was the bread was dry, both on the outside and the crumb; it wasn't fresh bread at all. Three burgers, three sandwiches, all so identical. I saw the sandwiches at other tables afterwards, and they were soft to the touch, so we were given stale stuff. For the proposed price of €16 per dish, this is something you wouldn't expect.

18/06/2025: Dinner with friends. Welcoming, beautiful and clean environment, characteristic. Damiano the fantastic owner! Fast service despite it being a Saturday night and the place full. We ate divinely, very fresh and quality raw materials. The wine of their production, Colibrì, lovely and perfect with the dishes. Highly recommended

02/07/2025: We entered this restaurant to book and were greeted with unique warmth. The ladies were busy preparing the pasta by hand and that already gave us a good impression. The staff was courteous and the wait to eat was quite short. We took the saffron gnocchi (two plates), a portion of potatoes and a bottle of water spending a total of 39 euros. The gnocchi were spectacular to the point that we cleaned the plates with bread and the same can be said for the potatoes. Beautiful memory of our visit to Castiglione del Lago. Thank you. 😀

12/08/2025: We were very well received, the staff was very friendly and accommodating given our difficulty speaking Italian and our misunderstandings about the meal offered! The meal was substantial and I loved the pasta with artichoke cream! It cost €25 per person without dessert or drinks other than water.

17/07/2025: Located on the top of a hill between Spoleto and Trevi, both the village and the convent offer a relaxing panorama! Not even an hour's drive from the main Umbrian cities, therefore convenient for travel. With both breakfast and dinner you feel pampered by the staff and chef Rosy's delicacies! Dinner is not included in the price, but I highly recommend it!!! We stayed in one of the apartments in the village, a real journey back in time! Spacious, equipped with every comfort, very comfortable beds (I have rarely slept in a bed like at home!), the bathroom is also comfortable. For breakfast you have to go down to the convent, I don't think it's even 100 metres, but I found it to be a pleasant morning walk! If you don't like morning walks, there are rooms at the convent too! For parking there is space for everyone, some parking just above the convent, 2/3 parking spaces immediately outside the entrance to the village, and then you can park along the walls of the village. We will confidently return here and I recommend it to anyone who wants to get to know Umbria and relax in the meantime!

24/07/2025: It takes a long time to get there, the last kilometers are even without asphalt. Our room has a wonderful view of the lake. But - there is no air conditioning in the room! In the hot summer months, this can be simply dangerous to health. Dinner in the fireplace room of the castle is impressive. The food and wine are varied and delicious.

But the rest of the offerings are also impressive. The pizzas are crispy and well-topped, and the portions are generous. Dessert also comes highly recommended: the homemade tiramisu. It's creamy, aromatic, and the perfect end to a successful meal. You can tell that attention to detail is put into the cooking and baking here. In terms of prices, the restaurant is in the good mid-range. The value for money is absolutely fine, especially considering the quality of the food. 24/07/2025: This place offers one of the best Italian dining experiences I’ve had. Although the menu is limited, it’s thoughtfully curated with an intensive selection of high-quality dishes. The food is excellent—authentic, traditional, and very affordable. What truly sets this restaurant apart is the exceptional service. The staff are incredibly kind, and Massimo, the owner, is extremely polite and attentive. Our waiter consistently went above and beyond, making sure we had the best possible dining experience. Highly recommended for anyone craving genuine Italian cuisine paired with warm, dedicated service.
