10/12/2025: If you're looking for a casual yet quality place in Perugia, the "Quei bravi Ragazzi" pub is a great choice. The burgers are truly excellent: flavorful meat, fresh ingredients, and well-prepared sandwiches. The beer is good and well-tasted, with a selection that pairs perfectly with the dishes. The staff was friendly and helpful, helping to create a welcoming atmosphere. Prices are also reasonable, in line with the quality of the food and service offered. A recommended place for both an evening with friends and for those who want to enjoy a good burger in the city.

10/12/2025: It's a really cute and well-designed place, pleasing to the eye. They served us very kindly, even though it was a really hot evening. The food was really good and reasonably priced. We had a great time, and if I were ever in the area again, I'd gladly return. ♡

18/05/2026: We chose Ristorante Ferrari at the last minute, since it was already late for lunch, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The restaurant is very beautiful and quaint, with a truly charming and welcoming interior. We ate very well: tasty appetizers and truly delicious spaghetti carbonara. The only negative was the meat, which was unfortunately overcooked compared to how we had requested. Otherwise, however, we were satisfied with the experience and the restaurant's atmosphere.

28/03/2026: Excellent pizzeria! Cons... maybe one, sometimes you have to wait for your pizza even if you order at 7:30 PM! Because of the takeaway pizzas... maybe they should split the reservations! But other than that, everything was perfect, the staff was friendly and fast! Recommended!

09/03/2026: The place is welcoming, just like the people who work there, full of thoughtfulness and kindness, certainly enhanced by the owner. The pizza is thin and crispy, even in the center, where it often feels soft. The mixed fried fish could use a makeover, but it's okay.

14/03/2026: A themed restaurant, but only in its furnishings and accessories. Excellent menu, offering a variety of first courses, pizza, and top-quality meats, as are the wines. Ditto for the desserts. Reservations are MANDATORY...and well worth it. Average to high prices (if you order a specialty meat, the price goes up 😉).

17/05/2026: UPDATE: I’m updating my review after a change of heart. I at first felt I wanted to disregard my disappointment of this resort but after lack of care and accountability from the resort I thought I’d share. I’d first like to point out that the restaurant, their staff, chef, service and food were all five stars and excellent. The resort itself however lacked hospitality and any resemblance of luxury. Upon arrival we were horrified to fold over the sheets and find a smashed bug UNDER the covers. We then proceeded to check the rest of the bed in fear it was a bed bug later to realize a huge blood stain on the corner of the comforter. We immediately requested another room in a different building and were happy to be upgraded to a wellness suite although we still were weary of the cleanliness of the room and its lack of design. We had previously booked the cooking experience which was excellent and the staff was very accommodating. We left full with great food and wine and happy we experienced the resort. Until we checked out and realized that my suitcase handle had been broken with no way of collapsing it when it was working perfectly fine up until our departure when our bags were picked up from our room and taken to reception. I emailed the staff to notify them and instead was met with accusations of saying my suitcase was broken upon my arrival and complete denial of any carelessness. I am now left with having to replace my brand new $200 suitcase because my airline will not accept a suitcase that doesn’t collapse. I am deeply disappointed with the lack of professionalism that is to be expected with a luxury resort. I had thought they redeemed themselves from the bug and blood situation and even wrote them a good review (see below), until they blatantly denied and instead blamed me for my broken bag. We still enjoyed our experience but I would honestly just come for the day for the restaurant and wine and would pass on staying at the resort itself and save your money. Original review: We had a wonderful stay at Altarocca Wine Resort. The staff was incredibly friendly, responsive and accommodating. Location: The resort is about a 10 minute taxi ride from Orvieto or the train station which the resort was able to help arrange for us. The property itself is located in a beautiful and picturesque Italian countryside surrounded by vineyards and rolling landscape, perfect if you want that winery stay vibe. Food & Wine: The restaurant on property was incredible, hands down the best meal of our trip. It was fine dining with excellent service and fantastic execution with balanced yet sophisticated flavors at the right amount of complexity that was not too overwhelming. We went with the staffs recommendations as well as their recommended wine pairings and they couldn’t have done better - they nailed it! They serve both a variety of their in-house wines as well as an extensive list of other regional wines, but their in-house wines were all wonderful and we stuck with those throughout our stay. Experience: We were able to enjoy a stroll through the vineyards after breakfast and took their cooking class in the afternoon which included lunch and a wine tasting after. I highly recommend this experience as it was engaging, informational, and fun! Overall we were very pleased with our stay and it was one of the highlights of our trip. We felt prices were very reasonable for the experience and we will definitely be recommending this place to friends and family! Great views. Great food&wine. Great service

12/04/2026: We booked a double room at Altarocca Wine Resort for what was supposed to be a special night: the last of our honeymoon. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a bitter experience, marked by frustration, disappointment, and utter disappointment with the way the situation was handled. As soon as we entered the room, we realized that the so-called "double bed" was actually two single mattresses pushed together, with a visible indentation in the middle. Sleeping was uncomfortable and frustrating, far from what one would expect for a €190 a night. The most serious issue wasn't just the problem itself, but the way it was handled. After immediately reporting the situation at check-in, we were told that to get a true double mattress, we would have to book a higher room category, paying an additional €50. And, rather casually, we were told that "it was still a double bed." Frankly, an unacceptable response for a property that should and does boast such standards. The next day, upon checkout, no one even bothered to ask us how our stay had gone (and I also consider this to be in poor taste). I was the one who had to raise the issue again, only to be met with a cold and indifferent attitude, as if the issue were irrelevant. Zero customer service, zero empathy, and zero professionalism. Making everything even more unpleasant was the fact that it was the last night of our honeymoon: a moment that should have been pleasant, relaxing, and memorable, but which was instead ruined by this experience. Finally, the organization of the wine tasting also left much to be desired, which is paradoxical for a property called a wine resort: I had asked for a wine tasting upon our arrival at 5:00 PM, but we were told they would have to check the sommelier's availability at that time. In essence, we would have had to start without even having time to settle into our room. An unreasonable proposal, which we obviously declined. In conclusion, a well-presented organization that, in reality, proved to be inattentive to customers, inflexible, and unprofessional in handling issues. For the price paid and for the occasion, I expected something completely different. Absolutely not worth it.

30/05/2026: We visited this restaurant and were truly thrilled. The traditional food is simply exquisite, everything delicious and carefully prepared. The meat is excellent! Special mention goes to the staff: welcoming, kind, and attentive, they make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommended!

29/03/2026: Recommended for both the pizza and the restaurant. They put a lot of love into their dishes, not only quality food, but also a lot of love. Believe me, the visual aspect is just as important to me as the taste and aroma! Local flavors are prominent, starting with the Gualdo Tadino EVO oil. A wide selection of pizzas! Good value for money, and above all, the location in the small Sodo valley at the foot of Mount Cucco, a place of coolness and regeneration for body and mind! Compliments! Long live the young people!

28/04/2026: We were on a Sunday drive in the country, stopped in Allerona and found this Osteria that was absolutely amazing. We sat on a wonderful terrace and were treated to some of the finest food we have had on this 2 month trip to Umbria. Bravo to the Chef and the waiter, I wish I had recorded their names. We had a great pasta with botega followed by duck, Guinea fowl. Vegetables were great and flavours experimental but interesting such as cauliflower with coffee… it worked! Wine was local and memorable. This is definitely a great restaurant and we will be back.
