27/09/2025: We came here quite by chance. The pizza is from the wood-fired oven and is fantastic, The owners are very friendly! The prices are quite fair for South Tyrol. When we were shocked to discover that there were no more buses from there shortly after 7:00 PM, we were quickly and easily helped out when we asked for a taxi so we could reach the nearest bus stop and catch the last bus of the day to Siusi. If I could, I would give it 10 stars; service like this isn't something you can take for granted! Thanks again for the delicious food and your help!

25/10/2025: We came here on the recommendation of our vacation apartment landlady and were not disappointed. The food was truly excellent and the service incredibly friendly. We had our dog with us, and he was also warmly welcomed. If you order the cheaper menu, the portions are a bit smaller, so you might want to eat everything. In the evening, we parked directly below the restaurant, which, according to the landlady, is fine in the evening. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

19/10/2025: A truly relaxing getaway. Very comfortable and modernly furnished rooms with beautiful mountain views. The fresh scent of pine wood fills the air. Excellent food selection and very attentive service, plus a wide range of saunas and baths. Excellent and free public transport connections for the region. Hiking trails start right behind the hotel.

19/09/2025: Traveling with celiac disease can be difficult so we decided to plan a trip around a hotel offering meals that cater to gluten free diets. We chose Hotel Villa Madonna in Alto Adige and were extremely happy with our week-long stay. It included gluten free half board meals (breakfast & supper, daily) and a free guest pass permitting free travel on all regional transportation in the area. The property was nice, the room comfortable and very clean, and the view spectacular. The supper offerings were varied and tasty, with a few surprises thrown in, to our delight, and safe - thank you to the chef and kitchen! Everyone on staff, at both the hotel and in the restaurant, was friendly and helpful - it felt like we were leaving a few friends behind by the time we left. Gabriele, Roman, and Lara at the front desk made sure we were looked after - and were ever patient with our mix of beginner Italian and English. Although many fantastic servers looked after us in the dining room, Facundo was our main server, always greeting us with a smile, making sure we were happy with every dish on the table, and sharing tips and experiences from his explorations of the region. We definitely recommend this lovely place.

11/11/2025: Absolutely a must-try in Ortise! 💲 Credit cards are accepted. 🍝 I ordered the truffle fettuccine (Tagliatelle al Tartufo), which had a rich, creamy flavor, tiramisu, and the must-try floral liqueur, Gewürztraminer. Overall, it made for a wonderful dinner. 💁‍♀️ The ambiance is a charming wooden cabin style, very characteristic of the local area. Every staff member was incredibly warm, friendly, and full of smiles, showing great respect for their profession. 👍 Reservations are a must. It would be a real shame to come all this way and not get a table. It gets very crowded, so without a reservation, you'll only have a short time to enjoy your meal. In Europe and America, table turnover isn't a priority; your seat is reserved for you during the entire meal.

28/10/2025: Wanna say thank you to everyone who helps me during my stay. The lady who is in charge of housekeeping, smiled warmly to me every time we met at the elevator. I hope she enjoy working here(looks like she does) I also enjoyed the dinner so much, the menu was changed everyday at least the days I stayed. That’s so impressive bc they are so tasty and made by local ingredients, paired with some wine selections. I’m solo travelling this time but plan to get back with ppl I love❤️

27/10/2025: My first night in Ortisei was spent at Mauriz Keller - Restaurant - Pizzeria, and I was extremely satisfied with the experience! The restaurant is conveniently located, clean and comfortable, with a warm Alpine décor that instantly puts you at ease. The staff were friendly and spoke fluent English, and the menu was clear, transparent, and reasonably priced. I ordered their popular roasted pork ribs, which were perfectly golden and slightly crispy on the outside, with tender meat and a wonderful aroma of spices and smoke – absolutely delicious! The portion was generous, and the side dishes were thoughtfully chosen. Besides that, the other dishes also looked incredibly tempting, from the pizzas to the pasta, all smelling wonderful and receiving high praise. Overall, this is a restaurant that combines quality, ambiance, and reasonable prices, and I highly recommend it to travelers visiting the Dolomites!

29/09/2025: If you feel like a little treat, I’d definitely recommend grabbing a scoop or two of gelato here. It was so good that I completely forgot to take a picture of it. I also didn’t take any photos of the place itself because it was packed with people, and I didn’t want to bother anyone. Both are pretty positive “problems” to have!

03/10/2025: We ate at Bachler twice during our stay and were impressed by the quality and service. There's something for everyone on the menu. The daily specials are very good. Friendly, attentive, but never intrusive service. Their own pizza chef prepares pizzas at the oven. Truly a top recommendation.

03/10/2025: We were really looking forward to a good pizza and were unfortunately disappointed. The pizza in the photo is my own homemade pizza. I'm used to pizzas from South Tyrol that are completely different. The dough was very light, didn't bubble, and had zero flavor, as is appropriate for a dough made with, for example, Caputo flour. It tasted more like a crispy pie crust. Despite the wood-fired oven, it wasn't a truly good pizza. I can't recommend it. The atmosphere was okay, and the enterprising waiter was very nice. This is what my pizzas at home look like, and they're not from a wood-fired oven.

05/11/2025: We had such a great lunch here! The perfect stop while exploring Alpe di Suisi. Cozy atmosphere, friendly service, delicious food. We loved the Speck dumping soup and cheese and meat board. Very nice restrooms, large patio space.

03/11/2025: The place is wonderful and worth visiting. You need to park a little way and walk, but the road is clear and short. The food is delicious, the staff are excellent, and there's a children's play area.
