27/09/2025: We came here quite by chance. The pizza is from the wood-fired oven and is fantastic, The owners are very friendly! The prices are quite fair for South Tyrol. When we were shocked to discover that there were no more buses from there shortly after 7:00 PM, we were quickly and easily helped out when we asked for a taxi so we could reach the nearest bus stop and catch the last bus of the day to Siusi. If I could, I would give it 10 stars; service like this isn't something you can take for granted! Thanks again for the delicious food and your help!

13/10/2025: Imagine walking up to the Alpe Di Suisi viewpoint in the morning, catching a stunning sunrise and treating yourself to a hot drink and delicious roasted potatoes. This place completed the morning, it doesn’t get better than this.

19/10/2025: A truly relaxing getaway. Very comfortable and modernly furnished rooms with beautiful mountain views. The fresh scent of pine wood fills the air. Excellent food selection and very attentive service, plus a wide range of saunas and baths. Excellent and free public transport connections for the region. Hiking trails start right behind the hotel.

19/09/2025: Traveling with celiac disease can be difficult so we decided to plan a trip around a hotel offering meals that cater to gluten free diets. We chose Hotel Villa Madonna in Alto Adige and were extremely happy with our week-long stay. It included gluten free half board meals (breakfast & supper, daily) and a free guest pass permitting free travel on all regional transportation in the area. The property was nice, the room comfortable and very clean, and the view spectacular. The supper offerings were varied and tasty, with a few surprises thrown in, to our delight, and safe - thank you to the chef and kitchen! Everyone on staff, at both the hotel and in the restaurant, was friendly and helpful - it felt like we were leaving a few friends behind by the time we left. Gabriele, Roman, and Lara at the front desk made sure we were looked after - and were ever patient with our mix of beginner Italian and English. Although many fantastic servers looked after us in the dining room, Facundo was our main server, always greeting us with a smile, making sure we were happy with every dish on the table, and sharing tips and experiences from his explorations of the region. We definitely recommend this lovely place.

03/10/2025: I am truly in awe of the revolutionary dining experience crafted by this Michelin- recommended establishment. Who would have thought that fine dining could be redefined through the art of majestic ignorance? For a solid five minutes at the entrance, my companion and I were blessed with the privilege of observing a ballet of waitstaff gliding past us with such focused detachment—it was as if we were invisible, mere specters in the realm of gastronomy. Not a single soul dared to breach the sacred rule of no eye contact. We were finally rescued—yes, rescued—by a kind-hearted waitress. And oh, what a tragic moment to realize that I’d used the word “kind-hearted” to describe the bare minimum. Have we reached a point where basic human decency feels like charity? Am I here to dine, or to beg for attention? Then came the grand finale: settling the bill. I asked—not once, not twice, but three times—with the elegance of a Shakespearean plea: “Can I have the bill, please?” Each request was met with a graceful nod, a vacant smile… and zero action. It took a breathtaking 15 minutes for the transaction to materialize. Perhaps they were subtly suggesting we stay longer and reflect on the privilege of being ignored in such a prestigious setting. Bravo! This isn’t just a meal—it’s an endurance test wrapped in arrogance. If this is the future of Michelin, then maybe it’s time for the guide to include a new category: Excellence in Emotional Desertification.

03/10/2025: This quaint little restaurant that is rated high in every guide book, including Michelin Guide, is so good. Friendly service and cozy atmosphere. If you only ate here during your stay in Ortisei, you would not be disappointed.

10/09/2025: We accidentally ate here twice (went in a different entrance and didn't notice at first) but really enjoyed the food both times. Over our pool two dinners here, we had multiple pasta dishes, the (enormous) tuna salad, the broiled vegetables, and the potato salad. The portion sizes were enormous and we couldn't finish our order either time! The pasta dishes in particular were delicious - we'll be back if we're in town again.

08/10/2025: A beautiful and wonderful hotel, and the staff are wonderful. Thanks to Mr. Amin Al-Tunisi in the restaurant. He was always cheerful, welcoming, and helpful. A wonderful experience that will be repeated, God willing.

30/09/2025: Can’t say enough good about this place. Amazing location, the staff was SO kind and helpful. The breakfast was amazing, the spa was incredible. Such beautiful views. The room was so comfortable and beautiful. Next time we come, we will definitely be staying here!! Would recommend to anyone.

29/09/2025: If you feel like a little treat, I’d definitely recommend grabbing a scoop or two of gelato here. It was so good that I completely forgot to take a picture of it. I also didn’t take any photos of the place itself because it was packed with people, and I didn’t want to bother anyone. Both are pretty positive “problems” to have!

21/09/2025: Always a guarantee, this is the fifth time we've stayed at this splendid property, and it never disappoints. Next year, we hope to try the newly renovated rooms.

03/10/2025: We were really looking forward to a good pizza and were unfortunately disappointed. The pizza in the photo is my own homemade pizza. I'm used to pizzas from South Tyrol that are completely different. The dough was very light, didn't bubble, and had zero flavor, as is appropriate for a dough made with, for example, Caputo flour. It tasted more like a crispy pie crust. Despite the wood-fired oven, it wasn't a truly good pizza. I can't recommend it. The atmosphere was okay, and the enterprising waiter was very nice. This is what my pizzas at home look like, and they're not from a wood-fired oven.

03/10/2025: We ate at Bachler twice during our stay and were impressed by the quality and service. There's something for everyone on the menu. The daily specials are very good. Friendly, attentive, but never intrusive service. Their own pizza chef prepares pizzas at the oven. Truly a top recommendation.

17/10/2025: The food was so delicious and the service was the best! First of all, the food was very good and the meat was soft. I felt that I kept checking the status of the table, and it was a meal that made me feel so good because of the service His name is JEFF !!! :). If I have a chance next time, I recommend it and I want to come back :)

10/10/2025: Another fantastic refuge in Seiser Alm! The food was delicious, with beef goulash with potatoes and chef's special spinach and cheese dumplings, and a fresh chocolate cake. Great place to chill out, with the views of Sassolungo and Passo Sella group of mountains. If you continue further, you also get the view of Sciliar mountains! It's a huge surrounding for all kinds of activities and leisure!
