14/03/2025: It was recommended to us... The food is quite good and the place is welcoming including the staff. It's a shame about the service of the restaurant manager who, as soon as we arrived only 10 minutes late due to bad weather, told us to order immediately because the kitchen was closing. Furthermore, we were not satisfied with a wine we tasted after opening it...the first sip seemed good but that wasn't the case, because even after allowing it to oxygenate a little, it still retained a sense of acidity. We promptly claimed the thing and had the bottle taken away and another one taken. We found ourselves charged for both bottles and the manager's response was that we had taken a smaller and more acidic wine. Inappropriate response...we still paid and thanked but it won't be a restaurant worth returning to at all. Of course there is very little to this behavior of FRATÈ. Never again..!!!! *************************************** In response to the reply: I wouldn't want to be taken for a liar because I'm not and by looking back at the negative reviews you can understand who might be. It is normal that the bottle was half full because the waiter poured the wine for everyone and then brought the glasses back. For the rest of your response... in terms of correctness and truth, I rely on this wine event to make the reader understand.

13/03/2025: Too bad for the guy in charge at the cash register, the rest of the staff was very kind. We won't be back. I'm sorry to have to write this review but it wasn't nice to include a bottle of undrunk wine in the bill because we immediately pointed out that it wasn't good in our opinion. The waiter kindly offered to change it and took away the glasses full of undrunk wine. It would have been more correct to warn us that he would have included it in the bill anyway. It's not because of the negligible cost of the wine that I'm writing this review but to point out that sometimes it really doesn't take much to gain or lose customers who come to Campiglio every season.

18/04/2025: A great stay for skiing. Unfortunately, we caught the exact week when the sun was practically nonexistent, and only clouds and fog were present. Still, it was spectacular. The hotel is in a fantastic location in terms of views, tranquility, and nature. If you want to be right in the center of town or right next to the lift, this is probably the wrong place. The hotel offers a free shuttle service in the morning and afternoon to Ortisei, Antoniusplatz (bus stop) or the two valley stations for the Seiser Alm and Seceda. From Antoniusplatz, it's about a 25-30-minute bus ride to Selva/Wolkenstein, where you can start your Sella Ronda tour directly. Free bus tickets for public transport are also available from the hotel (ask at reception). We opted for 3/4 board. The food is more than plentiful, varied, and delicious. Breakfast is plentiful, with fresh egg dishes. There's also a generous snack buffet for lunch/afternoon (if you stay at the hotel). ... A huge appetizer and salad buffet in the evening, followed by a 3-course menu, which you choose at breakfast in the morning. There's a daily variety at both the buffets, and the menu options weren't repeated in a single week. Every evening, the hotel offered a small additional offer, such as a welcome drink, mulled wine by the fire, schnapps tasting, and the like. At first, we thought, "Hmm, the spa is only open until 7:30 p.m." However, after being picked up by the shuttle every day, you have about 2 hours in the spa before going to dinner if you're planning on spending the whole day on the slopes. After dinner, we were both exhausted. The hotel spa is fairly new; other guests said it was built only about 3 years ago. The indoor and outdoor pools are very pleasantly warm and large, plus there's a whirlpool inside and a larger one outside. The ice bath is part of the sauna, which has a small, non-smoking area in the swimming area, and a separate nude sauna with a relaxation area. Perfect after a full day of skiing/snowboarding! Some of the rooms are brand new, while others are in a typical, somewhat older Tyrolean style. Underfloor heating in the bathroom, bidet, etc., as you'd expect from Italy. The only star deduction I'd give the room is for the mattress, which I found to be too hard, but I'm a bit sensitive about that. The ski room also has everything you need, but could be a bit larger or offer more hanging space. All the ski/snowboard storage spaces were quickly taken. But it's also a minor issue. For €5, you can use the washing machine and dryer, which was definitely very convenient after four days of skiing to reduce the unpleasant smells for the others for the last two days. The cleanliness in all areas is truly outstanding, and the price-performance ratio is right from start to finish. We will definitely come back to ski the Sella Ronda again in the sunshine.

14/03/2025: Back to the hotel and again a fantastic stay. Excellent cuisine. Additional attractions every evening. The swimming pool and sauna area are wonderful.

19/02/2025: Very nice place to stay. Nice staff, good food, brilliant location with a fantastic view of the rose garden. Every now and then there's a furry Fraggle running around with iron in his face. It's really sweet, but you shouldn't pet it. 😅

09/03/2025: Small place perched on the mountain ridge, just above the town of Marlengo, with an incredible view over the entire valley of Merano. Furnished like a typical mountain refuge, where wood reigns supreme, it is warm and welcoming. Limited menu, but good dishes, all made with typical local products of the area. Modest prices for still plentiful dishes.
