12/11/2025: Lake Garda like you've never seen it before. A visit to Peter Brunel's restaurant is a truly unique experience. Since all the tables were already booked for dinner, even in November, we opted for the set lunch menu. We were thrilled. It wasn't just the food that impressed us, but also the calm and collected atmosphere in the kitchen and the service. Thank you for letting us experience this.

03/11/2025: I went there with some friends during a weekend in the mountains and we had a great time. The atmosphere is truly welcoming and cozy, and the service was perfect. I highly recommend the potato gnocchi with speck and apple; I'd eat it again in a heartbeat.

10/11/2025: I give this place three stars. I thought it was magnificent, and I used to go there often, but unfortunately it's lost something. The girls who work there are talented and kind, but they don't have the same passion the owner had. It's not his fault, but it's been noticeable since he's been gone. He entertained, offered tastings, and made people want to buy with a warmth that came from knowledge and a love for his work. Unfortunately, that's missing now. It's pointless to promote a place on social media and not convey the same warmth in person. What a shame.

10/10/2025: I thought long and hard about whether to write this review. If we had paid significantly less, you wouldn't be reading this review. But if I compare the price to performance, the 4**** rating is unfortunately in vain. The staff is truly super nice, very friendly, and helpful. However, untidy tables or an empty glass are unfortunately often overlooked. The entrance area with reception is inviting with cool lamps and seating. However, the reception is untidy and very unsightly as a result. The hotel advertises itself as being family-run. The family is very present in the hotel, less through service than through sheer, sometimes loud, presence. Employees are reprimanded bilingually in front of guests. This is inappropriate and unpleasant for both guests and staff. The senior and junior managers are reserved but particularly friendly and very pleasant in their interactions with guests. The breakfast and lunch snack were very disappointing. The website is much more professional than the hotel itself. Based on that and the prices, we had really high expectations, none of which were met. Finally, I'd like to say that some of the reviews seem suspect to me. They use almost identical wording, and they always talk about "...the professional competence of the staff...", which sounds rather uninformal and therefore seems inauthentic. Unfortunately, no "goodbye," just "bye."

09/12/2025: A lunch with friends I'll remember! The entrance was immediately pleasant: in front of us, a warm fireplace with meat cooking, and welcoming staff ready to seat us on the first floor. The structure and furnishings are typical mountain, all in wood, with large windows that allowed us to enjoy the surrounding natural panorama. The service is super friendly and informal; the waiter was brilliant, I'd say a mix between waiter and comedian. The menu offers a wide selection, something for all palates. We ordered a mixed grill of meats for two and the house vegetable side dishes. While we waited, we were served several hot seasoned bruschettas and French fries. The side dishes, varied and always tasty, arrive in batches, served directly by the staff to your plate, in the quantity you desire. The grilled meat, consisting of various cuts, was excellent and plentiful. The desserts were also truly remarkable. If I'm ever in the area again, I'd gladly stop by again! I recommend booking well in advance.

27/10/2025: Yesterday, we stopped by Gutshof Lana directly after a hike and were dressed appropriately casually—in jeans and a sporty sweater—but were still greeted warmly. We ordered pizza. When the pizza arrived, the waitress apologized for the unattractive shape of my boyfriend's pizza. But that wasn't the problem for us. It wasn't the shape that bothered us; the pizza was unfortunately a bit charred and at least a quarter smaller than my pizza. You can't serve that kind of pizza in a restaurant. We pointed this out, and the pizza was taken back. After 15 minutes, my boyfriend received a new pizza. At good restaurants, we're used to at least a free drink as an apology or a dessert afterward. This wasn't the case at our table. When the waitress asked if everything was delicious, we confirmed it, but pointed out that it was a shame we couldn't eat together. She then replied, "Yes, that's always a shame!" We wonder if this happens often in this restaurant? The pizza tasted decent, but not exceptional. At the parallel table, almost at the same time, a completely different approach was taken. Here, the waiter took more time from the beginning, and the incorrect pizza was brought back from the kitchen "as a gift." The person who had to wait longer for their pizza also received a small gift upfront so they could eat with their friends. We wonder why there was apparently a double standard here. Was it because our attire was inappropriate for the restaurant? The head waiter, who acted so friendly at the neighboring table, also served us and noticed the faux pas. Why didn't he intervene? Perhaps we should have pointed out to the waitress that the situation was handled more elegantly at the neighboring table. So, although we were full, we returned to our hotel somewhat disappointed as "second-class citizens." We hope that other guests will be spared such an experience in the future.
