Excellent food, prepared with care and genuine products. Menu with wide choices.
Excellent wine, knowledgeable and helpful staff.
Recommended if you want to try something different from the usual restaurant.
05/11/2024: Fantastic venue and delicious food. Kindness and professionalism. Definitely worth trying. The first with lentils and chestnuts was pure magic!

You can order the lunch instead to buy the tour with meal.
27/10/2024: It’s a beautiful, wonderful wine spot.
I recommend tasting this wine. It's impossible to forget it. And it's Tuscany.
Chianti is not far away
Really be at a corner.

15/01/2025: Consultando le recensioni abbiamo deciso di provare questa trattoria a Sant'Angelo Scalo e mai scelta fù più azzzeccata, ambiente informale a gestione familiare. In due abbiamo preso una zuppa di funghi con castagne e porcini e degli gnocchi al sugo d'anatra; per secondo un taglire di formaggi misti che abbiamo diviso e per finire una zuppa inglese ed un caffè. Tutto buonissimo e preparato in modo genuino. Spesa di 20,00 € a testa. Torneremo sicuramente!!!!
13/01/2025: Siamo capitati in questa trattoria per caso a ora di pranzo diretti nella zona di Montalcino. Siamo stati fortunati a fermarci qui. Ambiente semplice ma curato. Buona scelta nel menù con piatti della tradizione locale però cucinati in maniera ricercata. Prezzi onestissimi.

06/01/2025: During my 13-day trip to Italy, there were three restaurants that I left a review on, and this is one of them. The pasta was very delicious, the service was friendly, and we even had a wine tasting service. The price is quite affordable and delicious, and if you visit Montalcino, you must definitely eat here.
05/01/2025: Davvero ottimo. Cucina casalina e prezzi abbordabilissimo, specie se comparato con le legnate che danno in zona dovuto al turismo internazionale. Cucina casalinga toscana. marito e moglie simpaticissimi. Gestione familiare.

18/10/2024: Helpful and courteous host. We called asking for a table for 8.30pm then for 9.30pm having left Rome late. They thought the kitchen was now closed in a small town like Montalcino - late October.
The innkeeper replied that he was waiting for us! There were two of us when we arrived and he made us sit. Very kind, good and appetizing cuisine, nice location inside!!!
Place ok!
It doesn't take much to satisfy and make customers happy, small attentions!

You can eat very well, both typical Tuscan cuisine and pizza.
The owners who take care of the management are really nice.
I highly recommend it

05/01/2025: Everything wonderful. A mandatory stop for anyone coming to visit Montalcino. The food was incredible, perfection, from the starter (bruschetta) to the dessert (pinci, faraona, vegetables and potatoes; tiramisu and pistachio panacotta). Excellent wine list. Excellent service, with great courtesy and friendliness. Beautiful decoration, and attention to detail. We love it. We will certainly be back! Thank you Mille!

08/01/2025: I was lucky enough to try both the wine tasting in the afternoon, which proved to be an excellent introduction to the place, and the wild boar stew dinner. The meat was very tender and the Brunello recommended by the owner was simply perfect. The atmosphere is welcoming and familiar, and the service is impeccable. I add praise to the owner who turned out to be a real host.

10/11/2024: On Friday evening we stayed in this splendid hotel, very close to Montalcino but away from the chaos of the centre. Basic but brand new and extremely well-kept rooms. Stunning panorama. Excellent breakfast. The most notable thing, however, is the kindness of all the staff, they pampered us from the moment we arrived until the moment we left, helping us with every aspect of our stay inside and outside the Hotel. We hope to return soon!

22/11/2024: Decent restaurant, typical Tuscan menu, with good dishes. Being on a tourist day we had a light lunch, a selection of cured meats and a black cabbage crouton for a starter, a sliced steak for me and a roast for my wife. The Brunello Riserva is excellent.
20/10/2024: We ate the risotto and a spectacular Fiorentina!! Great and cheap wines.

05/01/2025: Do not stay here. They are scammers. I was staying for two nights, and they double-charged me, stating my card didn't go through, and I paid cash. Breakfast is horrible, and the elderly couple who manage this, along with their daughter, are awful at customer service. AC/Heat did not work, and the room had a very humid stench. They also scratched my car. Since you can't self-park,. You have to trust them to park your car.
26/12/2024: We went to Albergo IL GIGLIO for dinner in the evening. There are two restaurant areas in IL GIGLIO, the back part seems a little more refined.
White tablecloths and silver cutlery are used here. The house serves typical Italian dishes such as Risotto al Brunello or Tagliolini al Tartufo Scorzone Fresco.
There is still some room for improvement in terms of taste, but the service is a bit slow; Sometimes orders have to be reminded a second time. However, overall recommended!
