Fantastic atmosphere. Gabriella is very welcoming, kind, and friendly with her guests... the children are the stars, along with thousands of animals treated like royalty... a fantastic Sunday immersed in nature on a beautiful farm, and a truly delicious and plentiful lunch.

An absolutely incredible day on the farm, with wonderful animals and people. We milked a cow and even made some cheese. The lunch was excellent, wholesome, and tasty! These are the things we need to support these days. Highly recommended!

Gabriella Michelozzi and her sister Stefania are emblematic figures of modern shepherds, who run the farm and agritourism "IL CANTO DI PRIMAVERA DEL SOGNO ANTICO" (THE SPRING SONG OF THE ANCIENT DREAM), located in Quarrata, near Pistoia. The farm is renowned for its cheeses, cured meats, and its social and educational agriculture activities. Gabriella (the Shepherdess) is also associated with stories of other young women who have chosen shepherding, such as Diamante Santini of "Ninfe di Bosco," who transformed an ancient tradition into a modern goat farming business in the Pistoia area.
You fall in love with the Shepherdess immediately, at first sight.

For the thought, the place, and what the Michelozzi sisters do, I give them 5 stars because there are no others.

We stumbled upon Canto di Primavera del Sogno Antico by chance, and it was a wonderful discovery. The menu is designed by the staff and is all Tuscan, with authentic products: delicious cheeses, spectacular cured meats, and excellent wine. After lunch, the owner even showed us their animals, a truly lovely experience. A simple, authentic place, perfect for everyone.
(It was a little difficult to find the restaurant.)

You sit down and they take care of everything: very carefully prepared homemade cuisine, with locally sourced ingredients, cheeses, cured meats, and meats, all produced by the family that runs the place. It's very cute but small, with just a few tables. We went for dinner and didn't get to see much, but we'll definitely be back.
