09/05/2026: Saturday, May 9, 2020, a slightly breezy day with a weak sun, sitting on the terrace adjacent to the Tuscan trattoria we enjoyed some delicious food, a platter of cold cuts and cheeses that seemed to come from the cellar of a farmhouse surrounded by the Tuscan hills, the pappardelle with wild boar and the pici seemed to be made by a grandmother making her grandchildren happy, we were unable to order other courses due to the excellent portions, highly recommended, we will definitely return, from Rome, just to be able to eat again in this fantastic trattoria, 10 out of 10

03/05/2026: We went to the Il Portico farmhouse in Capalbio for lunch with six friends. The restaurant is well-presented, with the classic country farmhouse feel: a beautiful garden with a pool and both indoor and outdoor spaces. The atmosphere is pleasant, comfortable, and spacious. The food was good, well-cooked, and of high quality, with a decent house red wine and an overall good value. The big problem, however, was the service: the first courses didn't arrive together. Four tortelli with Chianina beef ragù were served promptly, while the pappardella with wild boar and the pici with artichokes and pancetta arrived about 20 minutes later. The result: we all ate out of sync, which was definitely annoying and unacceptable for a group lunch. Honestly, it's unclear what happened in the kitchen, but such a disservice completely ruins the experience. Good food, but the organization needs revising. I don't think I'll be back.

02/05/2026: We were there recently... very good food, good service, a 4 for the hospitality... smile! Perhaps the prices are medium/high for some dishes; in the end, a plate of prosciutto with five fried pizza balls cost €12, a bit steep! You could do better!

05/05/2026: The villa offered everything we could possibly need. The kids loved the animal farm and the fresh fruit and veggie farm. The spa was just what I needed after touring the countryside. Great experience, sweet staff and excellent meals. Thank you!

14/05/2026: I returned on May 1st after a few years, and the impression is still the same: a very simple restaurant where you can eat good food at a fair price. Of course, when you walk in, you know you won't find world-class culinary excellence, but you know everything will be fair and honest. The service, food, and final bill were good. I would go back.

My wife enjoyed the Tagliatelle Ragout, and I had the seafood pasta—both dishes were absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and we felt genuinely well taken care of throughout our stay. A perfect place for a relaxing and enjoyable stop, with excellent food and friendly service. We would definitely come back! We had a wonderful lunch here during our trip and can highly recommend this delightful little restaurant.
