30/03/2025: The best pizza in Livorno, welcoming environment and excellent ingredients. Highly recommended!!!

29/03/2025: The vegan dessert consisted of 4 chocolates measuring 1 cm, we literally spat 2 of them into the napkin because they were covered in salt! we believed it was a mistake with the sugar and instead the owner replied in a sour way that we had been told, while the waitress had not told us that 2 were covered in salt, but that they were 4 assorted chocolates. The price? 10 euros! They would have made a better impression not to make them pay such a sum, we will never set foot there again!

23/02/2025: Siamo stati veramente bene, personale di sala molto preparato, servizio impeccabile e mai opprimente. Inoltre abbiamo soggiornato per una notte in una delle tre stanze che si trovano sopra il ristorante, molto comodo il passaggio interno. La sala della colazione molto accogliente e vasta scelta tra dolce e salato. Di questa esperienza resterà sicuramente un bel ricordo.

30/09/2024: Potrei descrivervi l’ambiente, le bruschette spettacolari, la pasta ripiena ma se andate via senza assaggiare le versure al forno vi perdete qualcosa di speciale. Consigliatissimo!!

26/04/2025: Este restaurante nos lo recomendaron unos amigos. Tuvimos una noche encantadora. El servicio era un poco lento pero muy ocupado ambiente y las camareras hablaban inglés. Los asientos están muy juntos, algo apretados. Pedimos el filete de hueso T recomendado, que es una especialidad de esta región. Llegó muy raro, a mi hija le gusta así pero prefiero bien - hecho así que la camarera estaba feliz de tomar la mitad de nuevo a la cocina para cocinar más. Una velada agradable. Mi única respuesta sería que los cuchillos dados eran completamente romos, por lo que era realmente difícil cortar el filete. Curiosamente, el caballero de la mesa de al lado había comprado su propio cuchillo, así que debió saberlo.

13/04/2025: Posto molto bello di fronte ai ponti di Vara ed alle cave di marmo. servizio molto buono, con il nipote del partigiano Ometto che prende le ordinazioni con molta gentilezza. Il cibo eccezionale, Consiglio i taglierini (tajain) alla carrarina e la trippa alla carrarina, dei quali piatti aggiungo foto. Prezzo giusto.

16/04/2025: Great atmosphere and service. They played French jazz in the background with candles on the table, very romantic. We got the preset meals at $55 euro per person. Antipasta and first dish were good. Pork chop was ok, dessert was ok. I would say over priced for the quality of food that was delivered. Also… there was a strange grumpy old man in an orange jacket roaming the restaurant all night that killed the vibe at times.

30/03/2025: Saporium is one of those restaurants where the Chef seems to have forgotten a basic truth: a restaurant exists to serve guests — not the other way around. Yes, creating a special atmosphere and crafting a unique concept is great. But when that becomes more important than the guest experience, something’s gone wrong. We spent €742 on an 8-course tasting menu for two people. The first half was excellent: • Welcome bites • Bread 1. Antipasto (Snail) – absolutely amazing 2. Risotto – very nice, perfectly balanced 3. Pasta – a great addition, light and flavorful 4. Veal – rich taste, beautifully prepared Up until this point, we were extremely happy. But then things took a negative turn: 5. Manzo – disappointing. A slimy, tiny portion of beef with an almost invisible veggie 6. Pre-dessert – a single Magnum-style ice cream bite 7. Main dessert – sponge cake drowned in plain milk with a splash of alcohol 8. Post-dessert – a couple of bonbons For a Michelin-starred restaurant, dedicating nearly 40% of the menu to dessert is baffling. Post-dessert should be a kind gesture — not a counted course. This feels like a cheap solution for this money. When we asked about the missing eighth course, the deputy manager told us the bread was one of the courses, because “the Chef considers it a separate plate.” Sorry — that’s not how tasting menus work. The wine list looks impressive — but prices are outrageous. €450 for a bottle of Ornellaia? Completely out of touch. To make matters worse, the closing vibe was cold. One staff member, the guy with long curly hair, literally kicked us out... With this ending, Saporium Firenze felt more like a stage for the Chef’s ego than a place for genuine hospitality. I regret coming here. PS: The €200 deduction in the bill photo is just the prepayment required to book.

30/03/2025: I booked a lunch for my parents for their 30th wedding anniversary. I have often interacted with Bianca, professional, very kind and really super helpful. She was able to best manage the payments and any hitches (by chance the reservation had been made for the days in which the weather alert was activated in Florence), the reservation was moved without additional costs and with the utmost understanding. The lunch was perfect, the environment comfortable and relaxing and refined, truly a little gem. Perfect lunch tasting menu, captivating dishes, balanced and visually unique combinations. Thanks again for your kindness and for the experience, I repeat in particular Bianca who was splendid.

10/03/2025: We had breakfast several times in the hotel and on the roof terrace with this unique, fabulous view. The staff is incredibly friendly and personable. The atmosphere at this hotel is very good. The food selection is varied and good.
