07/05/2026: A Sunday evening at Sperone in Alcamo. I've traveled far and wide for decades, and naturally, I've ordered pizza in countless restaurants throughout Italy, from north to south. Well, a week ago, I was with two friends at Sperone, and I can confidently say, as I told them, and as I later told the pizza chef before leaving, complimenting him, that the pizza I was served at this restaurant was absolutely the best I've ever had at a pizzeria. I always order the Napoli version; the dough was excellent, crispy to perfection, with the perfect consistency, and topped with truly high-quality ingredients. In addition to pizzas, the menu offers other dishes cooked to perfection, with quality food and truly generous portions. Fair prices, no surprises. Another note of merit: the updated menu is available on the restaurant's website, demonstrating their professionalism and entrepreneurial integrity.

28/04/2026: The location is fairly clean. Parking is excellent. We ate well and were served reasonably well. The only drawback: compared to the availability of the customers (many because the place is popular), there are only three restrooms. I recommend it!

04/03/2025: In my opinion, it's the best restaurant in the area. We spent a week on vacation and went there three times. The freshness and quality of the ingredients are excellent. The service is perfect, and the staff is always ready to offer excellent advice on what to order. Generous portions. I recommend the raw fish because it's sublime. Excellent value. Free parking is available in front of the restaurant.

10/05/2026: We stayed one night at this 3-star hotel in Scopello, paying €100 for a very basic room—a price I might have understood if the service had lived up to the reviews and the hotel's high rating. Unfortunately, however, the experience was truly awful. As soon as we arrived, we were struck by a terrible stench throughout the hotel. The worst part was definitely breakfast. Several products seemed clearly expired or poorly stored: we ate pan di stelle (a kind of sweet bread) that tasted terrible, the expired toast, and even the chocolate cereal was inedible. My boyfriend was sick all day after breakfast with food poisoning symptoms, and we had to cancel the entire day. Furthermore, the hotel offers virtually no special amenities, making the price even more unjustified. Overall, a very disappointing experience and definitely not worthy of a 3-star rating.

19/04/2026: We had a 9:30 PM reservation and were seated at 10:30 PM. There were no baked potatoes, either for the pizza or as an appetizer. Lactose intolerance was not respected as they don't have lactose-free mozzarella. They also don't have any alternatives, such as cutlets, to make up for the lack of a pizza without mozzarella. The bill was roughly calculated and there was no receipt.

16/04/2026: Rustic, family-friendly atmosphere. Superb pizza, among the best in Trapani. Mine was a riaverla with spicy salami and fried eggplant. Topped with crumbled breadcrumbs.

At first glance, I wouldn't have given the place any credence, which looks more like a takeout pizzeria (which they actually do) with tables for those who want to stay and eat. But the real surprise was the food: vastasa potatoes, busiate pasta with wild boar sauce, and spectacular lamb chops. We cleaned our plates with the traditional "scarpetta" (scraper). They say "the habit doesn't make the man," so true. Would we go back? Absolutely, perhaps to try the pizza, which looked too tempting.
