17/01/2026: We returned to Carlotta in Villa last night. We tried the lemon croquettes (spectacular) and the Tunisian bricks (delicious). This time I tried the pizza, with a special dough, which was very light and easily digestible, with quality ingredients. My wife and daughter confirmed their choice of meat and fish couscous, which I also tried, very seasoned with an excellent broth.

13/11/2025: This place is really good. As travellers, we reached Palermo from a delayed flight and needed something quick and local. The sharing board was of a very high quality, and they served really good local wine. It was positioned next to our hotel, with a great atmosphere of locals enjoying life and a nice glass of wine. It is managed by a lovely lady and gentleman, and we were happy to make a return visit the next day for some more wine.

28/01/2026: A cool bar with an interesting, dark atmosphere. The yellow lamps with a red accent add a great effect. They also offer free popcorn with your beer.

From the moment you enter, you'll feel a welcoming atmosphere that immediately makes you feel right at home. The food is simply excellent: every course is a triumph of authentic flavors, with generous portions and the freshest ingredients that respect tradition. We ate wonderfully, from appetizer to dessert, without a single note out of place. But what makes the experience truly special is the staff: rarely have you found such helpful, smiling, and attentive staff. You can tell they're passionate about what they do and know how to advise customers with extreme courtesy. In short: everything was perfect. Excellent value for money, and satisfaction guaranteed. It's officially become one of my favorite places in the city. Highly recommended!

The quality of the meat is top-notch, and you can immediately sense the care taken in selecting the ingredients and cooking them perfectly, showcasing them to their best advantage. Each dish was flavorful and beautifully presented. A great strength is undoubtedly the staff: extremely kind, attentive, and highly knowledgeable, always available to offer advice and explain the menu options with expertise and passion. The atmosphere is welcoming and pleasant, ideal for both a relaxed dinner and a special occasion. A place I absolutely recommend and will gladly return to.

23/12/2025: The first thing you notice is the courtesy and helpfulness of the staff. The meat is excellent quality, and the place is perfect for a pleasant evening enjoying tasty dishes accompanied by great music. The prices aren't cheap, but they're definitely average for the food. Highly recommended.

07/06/2025: Il Bar D ‘ Amore è il mio posto del cuore! Ogni volta che ci entro, mi sento subito a casa. Oggi ho preso due arancine per i miei figli e il ragù dentro è pazzesco, proprio come quello che faceva la mia nonna! E non parliamo delle granite: quella al pistacchio è qualcosa di spettacolare! Se hai fame a pranzo, puoi stare sicuro che lì trovi tutto quello che ti serve, dai panini super ai piatti del giorno. Per me, sono i numeri uno! Un grande grazie a tutto il team: Michele, Salvo, Gabriele, Salvo , Calogero, Fabio e Vincenzo .Se non ci siete ancora stati, dovete assolutamente farci un salto!

01/02/2026: Neither bad nor praiseworthy! The place was average: we had arancini, crostini, and eggplant meatballs as appetizers, followed by busiate with fried eggplant and salted ricotta (very good and well-received), mixed grill, beccafico sardines, and swordfish rolls. The appetizers were clearly reheated, so much so that one arancini was cold. Overall, everything else was average.

29/01/2026: Hi all, my first choice Osteria Nonna was full. This place was recommended by my Airbnb. Price is not as cheap as anonna but still reasonable. I got greedy. Even when eating alone I had a full 3 course meal. They had an English menu. I had the caponata. At 9€ quite expensive but very tasty. Soft eggplant with a tomato slightly sweet sauce. Portion was big and easy to eat with two or more with bread. As pasta I chose the pasta with sardines. Well it wasn’t my taste and didn’t enjoy it. The plate was huge. Again enough to share. 12€ seems fair for the amount. Frankly a-pettier and pasta is more than enough for non Italian eaters. But I was greedy and wanted to try the mix grill with swordfish, squid and prawns.at 16€ it was really cheap. But was not perfect. The prawn was overcooked, refried? The squid was surprisingly tough. Swordfish was OK. But I have had better in Milan. In the end I couldn’t recommend it for a second time. For this 3 dishes I ended up at 44€. To expensive. But the amount of food is more than fair
