02/05/2026: We had lunch with superb views! I had a menu with pasta and sardine (delicious) and as main dish, swordfish with potatoes, so tasty. My wife had prosciutto e funghi pizza, quite good. The waiters were welcoming, overall I would recommend 100% !

28/11/2025: Beautiful setting and super romantic. Food was delicious and staff were lovely. Portions are small so marked down for that in terms of value for money. Marked down on service as was charged an additional €30 for a bottle of wine we did not order. Did not notice until we got back to the hotel as we were in a rush to pay because it started to rain and we were outside! With that being said I would go again, without the kids and make sure I check the bill properly next time! The outdoor terrace is truly stunning.

23/10/2025: This restaurant may as well be one of the best places I’ve ever had dinner. We found it online and decided to check it out spontaneously, and just wow. The garden is beautiful, with several citrus trees. Super romantic atmosphere. All the staff has specific roles, so the sommelier only does take wine orders, the waitresses only bring food and take away empty plates or refill empty glasses and there are separate people for taking food orders or bringing out the bill. Although it might feel a bit slow (reading some of the other comments), there definitely is a system in place that works well. And then the food… eating a variety of vegetarian food has been difficult in Sicily. Not at this restaurant; they have an amazing selection of high quality vegetarian food. Probably the best vegetarian food we’ve ever had. We started with a delicious burrata and tomatoes, then lemon linguini, fried artichoke and shared two desserts. We did not have any wine, just two bottles of water and I was surprised with how low the bill was for the amazing quality of food. Feels like dining in a Michelin setting, but for a super reasonable price. Thank you to the staff for this amazing experience!

06/04/2026: In summer, you usually sit outside on tiny stools, with small barrels serving as tables. This makes it quite unique. The food was delicious (caponata and bruschetta), as were the white wines. Areas for improvement: the staff was very impatient, not very friendly, forgetful, etc. Otherwise, though, it's a great tip for anyone who wants to grab a bite to eat at Kurtz or enjoy a delicious local wine.

21/03/2026: I've traveled miles to come here because the pizza is excellent, and I come whenever I can. This Saturday night, I found it closed even though Gmaps said it was open until 11:00 PM. There was nothing on the front door to explain the unexpected closure.

30/04/2026: The menu isn't overly extensive, which is a good thing; it's not a tourist-catching menu. The dishes are well-presented, and the prices are all in line (for a small seaside restaurant). The service is quick and friendly. The only complaint is that you leave with clothes that smell of fried food and fish; the kitchen probably doesn't fully eliminate the odors that enter the room. What a shame.

31/03/2026: The food was good. Excellent service. Friendly waiters. It was my birthday and they put candles on the table. Nice place, shame about only one bathroom.

23/04/2026: After getting a bit tired of mediocre Italian tourist trap restaurants in town, we were glad to have found this place. Our expectation for food has been low in Taormina given how it’s a tourist central (as proven in many other places here), but this place had exceeded and met our usual taste. The amuse bouche, appetizer Wagyu, Gnocchi, mackerel dish were great. But the tagliatelle al ragu was a bit uneven in temp. Two people were running the restaurant, taking turns cooking and serving so it was a little slow but we were okay with that. Overall we were very satisfied and happy to have found this place!

07/04/2026: Teatro44 is a hidden gem that left us speechless. If you love seafood and creative cuisine, put this at the top of your list. The chef has genuine talent. Every dish surprised us in the best possible way. The chef blends Sicilian tradition with innovative and refreshing spins. We had the gnocchetti with bisque, raw purple shrimps, sea grapes and liquorice (extraordinary), a smoked spaghetti with mussels and pecorino fondue that left us speechless, and a Sicilian stockfish salad (a traditional recipe from Messina with dried white fish), that was a complete revelation. If you’re a seafood lover, this kitchen will not disappoint. The ingredients are exceptional and the cooking does them full justice. Service was warm, attentive and genuinely passionate about the food, exactly the vibe we wanted for a special evening out. It’s small, so better to book ahead.

10/04/2026: Great dining experience! We ordered bruschetta, calamari, seabass and pasta. Great environment in the garden and the food were all so flavourful. It’s really cozy and relaxing to be here having dinner. If you are looking for great food and chill homey vibes this is the place!

04/04/2026: Menu outside didn’t have to do anything with the one inside, prices were much higher and less choices than the one outside, food was good but it took us by surprise when we saw the check

09/05/2026: The restaurant is located in a small alley perpendicular to the main shopping street. Once seated, the view is magnificent. The welcome and service are impeccable, and the pizzas were delicious. The prices are in line with Taormina standards.

29/12/2025: I really appreciated the waiters' service, especially Oliver and Ziaur; we came with our dog, and they were immediately available to find us a table where we could all sit comfortably, even providing him with a bowl of water. The pizzas were very good, and the restaurant's decor is equally impressive.
