30/05/2026: Even though we didn't book, they managed to get us a table. We had three different starters, all excellent. It's a shame about the wait.

11/07/2026: We ate at this restaurant a few weeks ago because it's right down the street, and since it's a trattoria, the food is usually good. My partner and I chose the outdoor area, which wasn't very well-maintained and had mosquitoes. The food was bland, the wine wasn't great, the raw fish was flavorless, and the soup was way too much for one person, and it's obviously expensive. It was a disappointment, especially since the sign on the street shows photos of the dishes that bear no resemblance to the real thing.

05/07/2026: This is, without exaggeration, the worst place in Taormina. If I could give it 0 stars, I would. We arrived around 8:30 PM, and there was only one other table occupied. You'd think that with such a busy environment, the service would be excellent. But it was quite the opposite. The service was terrible from the very beginning. They didn't help us choose our dishes or even properly answer basic questions about the ingredients in the salad. When we said we wanted to think a little more before ordering, the employee demonstratively grimaced, turned around, and left. After that, practically no one came to us. They only remembered us when the dishes arrived. Now about the food. We ordered the Fish Grill Set, and it was a complete disappointment. Almost all the seafood was overcooked and bitter. There was sand in the shrimp. The fish was inedible – dry and burnt. The only decent thing was the potatoes. Thank goodness for them, at least. And the final touch—they completely forgot to bring our salad. The very salad we'd asked about several times. They simply forgot about it. We haven't experienced such poor service and such substandard food in a long time. I absolutely do not recommend this place. Taormina has countless wonderful restaurants—don't waste your time or money here.

21/03/2026: I've traveled miles to come here because the pizza is excellent, and I come whenever I can. This Saturday night, I found it closed even though Gmaps said it was open until 11:00 PM. There was nothing on the front door to explain the unexpected closure.

12/07/2026: We ordered pizzas to take away to our hotel room next door. The pizzas were delicious and the view was amazing 😍🍕 The staff was very friendly as well! Strongly recommend.

29/12/2025: I really appreciated the waiters' service, especially Oliver and Ziaur; we came with our dog, and they were immediately available to find us a table where we could all sit comfortably, even providing him with a bowl of water. The pizzas were very good, and the restaurant's decor is equally impressive.

23/06/2026: What a beautiful place, really good food and drinks. What else can one want from a restaurant. The open air place was like a movie set absolutely gorgeous. The staff, our server all were just extremely nice and kind. It's definitely a place I would recommend everyone to go to if they are in Taormina.

14/06/2026: Place that has the desire to be michelin like, but is in no way there. Food has enough creativity, but taste wise needs more refinement. Very expensive for what it has to offer.

06/06/2026: I was lucky enough to spend a week in Sicily for a conference. The food was excellent everywhere, but the best meal my husband and I had was at Teatro44. We were hoping to find a quieter spot off the main thoroughfare in Taormina. The location was lovely, but the food was truly exceptional. Every bite from the focaccia in the bread basket to the meatball main dish delivered a "wow" moment. Absolutely delicious. Even the aperol spritz was just better than average. Less sweet, more complex. Perfect to linger over.

26/05/2026: The menu showed promise but was very pricey which raised our expectations. The service was friendly but extremely slow. The King Prawns at an extortionate €38 missed the ‘s’ at the end, as it was in fact one single prawn priced like a fancy lobster. It was tasty but took so long to arrive that we barely noticed the flavour due to hunger. Similarly the long awaited Wagyu beef was some paper thin slithers of beef on top of a huge amount of brioche at €35. Another incredibly long wait later and some cold pasta turned up which was underwhelming. It felt like they tried too hard and just couldn’t deliver. Neither on time nor on quality. The waitress was nice but we think she was also cooking the food which may explain some of the problems. It wasn’t even that busy so no idea how it took so long but at €100 per head I expect food to be warm, on time and delicious. I am giving it a generous extra star as some of the food was tasty. But the price was so outrageous that they simply have to deliver better. We ended up not eating much of the pasta as it was cold and due the the overall letdown of the evening we challenged the price in a polite manner. The staff reacted by threatening to call the police on us which ended the night on a new low.

01/07/2026: A disgrace to Italian cuisine. The risotto was overcooked, with rice swimming in old oil. The white wine was poor quality and barely chilled. Cars drove through the narrow alley, almost passing right through the plate. A typical tourist trap.

29/06/2026: I went to this restaurant for lunch and enjoyed excellent linguine with swordfish and fresh mint.
