01/10/2025: Excellent restaurant, unforgettable seafood pasta, gourmet pizza, the staff is very welcoming, no waiting for a table on the terrace, extremely clean, impeccable toilet, the tablecloths are changed with each rotation of customers, located in the historic heart of Taormina, beautiful street well decorated, a must visit during a visit to Taormina

27/09/2025: We didn't get to eat, we never got to try the food. They sat us down (there were two of us) and left us there with a bottle of water for over 20 minutes without serving us. We asked for service more than three times, but they never came. A table of six people arrived next to us, and in less than three minutes they already had our drinks, bread, etc. Seeing that they weren't serving us, we asked for the €3 bill to leave. At that moment, the manager and two other waiters approached me to complain, asking why I was leaving. I only had one minute to wait, and that they could have the pasta in five minutes, along with many other things. They were very aggressive and insolent, especially the manager, who ended up saying, "Pay me the €3 and you're leaving." The place is very well located and is "VERY TOURISTY." The food looks mediocre, but I can't comment on its quality since I didn't try it. It was VERY noisy and uncomfortable as it was packed. It's worth mentioning that I never complained; I only asked for the bill to pay for the water. I never responded to their comments, as doing so meant a bigger problem. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT

22/04/2025: Die Küche hat ihre Highlights (Lamm) und ihre Lowlights (kalter Fisch serviert). Das Service ist bemüht, kommt aber nicht wirklich über einen mittleren Standard hinaus. Was uns nicht gefallen hat war die Atmosphäre. Man sitzt in einem in die Jahre gekommenen Wintergarten und das Lokal wirkt kalt. Hier scheinen auch nur Touristen zu speisen und keine Einheimischen, was wir in Italien nie als gutes Zeichen erlebt haben.

14/04/2025: Cenamos aquí por mi cumpleaños y tuvimos una noche muy encantadora. Las mesas de la pequeña terraza de la azotea están en un lugar muy romántico, con la cumbre del Monte Etna justo visible sobre los antiguos tejados. Fuimos muy bien atendidos por el personal y las opciones de comida y vino fueron algunos de los mejores que probamos en Taormina.

21/09/2025: Gorgeous location, but that's all! The welcome was barely polite, the service terrible, five people at the table, but the table was set for four. Dirty cutlery and annoyed waiters, except for the young woman named Valeria, who does what she can. The dishes arrive in dribs and drabs, and the last one arrives raw and incomplete (the last of the grilled dishes had two types of fish missing from the others served before). We pointed this out to the owner, who responded by taking the dish back without apology, almost as if to make us feel guilty. Two of the diners couldn't eat anything. They've been customers of this place for at least a decade, but I think it's time for them to mend their ways or change their profession. This last one was a terrible experience.

20/09/2025: Shameful is an understatement! A terrible experience. I had booked a table for lunch. I arrived on time, my name was crossed out in the notebook, and there was at least an hour to wait. The reason given to me by the guy they called manager, who was anything but, in his manner, language, and delivery, was that he gave priority to those who had arrived first. Well, all they had to do was tell me ahead of time and clarify that they don't take reservations, but first-come, first-served, and I would have been fine. My daughter, an 8-year-old, was crying from hunger, so I turned on my heel and left. The staff was worthy of the worst dive in a suburban town. Far from Taormina! Shame!

12/10/2025: We dined as a couple at Kisté, housed in the historic Casa Cipolla with a stunning terrace that promises a memorable evening. The setting is undeniably charming. The food, to be clear, was well done: enjoyable, technically solid, without glaring faults. But this alone was not enough to redeem the evening. Regrettably, the service left a lasting negative impression. The server delivering the dishes recited descriptions by rote, without enthusiasm or pause. We felt rushed: before we even finished our aperitifs, they brought wine and the first course. As I was still eating bread, it was quietly removed and the next dish was served. When I asked for a 10- to 15-minute break before dessert, they timed it exactly to the 10th minute and immediately served, the precision underscored a rigid script, not guest care. We have seldom felt so overseen rather than hosted. Despite a beautiful location and promising cuisine, this dinner failed to deliver a pleasurable experience. I cannot recommend Kisté based on this visit.

09/10/2025: Good vibes, the decor is a bit tacky and the food is not up to the fine-dining standards. It's not bad most plates were forgettable. Loved the tiramisu though.

21/09/2025: The place has the perfect ambience at night. There are lights in the plants, live music and everyone is having a great time. The place was very busy but, luckily we got a table right away. The servers were very attentive and friendly. Can’t say enough positive things about them. The food and drinks were also amazing. The octopus was so tender you could cut it with a butter knife and it practically melted in your mouth. The carpaccio for a starter, that was shared, was a very good portion and it too was also incredible. Overall, I highly recommend coming here if you are in Taormina.

04/10/2025: Bought a water from inside, my friend went to the toilet , and I was not allowed to sit at a table to wait for my friend as I quote “the water is to take it away” . Not ok for a terrace which is not fully occupied, as you can see, you need better customer service.

03/10/2025: Very long wait times (few customers, simple dishes, etc.). Ingredients listed on the menu aren't served. The answer is, "There are different preparation methods, we cook it differently here." Please don't write that on the menu.

30/09/2025: I don't want to just leave a review, but a huge compliment. I spent three nights in a row at this wonderful place, where not only the atmosphere enchants you. The food is divine, and the live music makes dining here a unique and fantastic experience. Above all, I'd like to leave a huge compliment for the service: I traveled alone, but thanks to the guys at La Scala, I had evenings filled with laughter and good humor. For those who stop by, try the seafood linguine and enjoy a lovely cocktail, made with love—it really shows. If I ever return to Taormina, I already know I'll be back at La Scala Restaurant. 08/05/2025: Vino a través de este lugar en nuestro primer día en Taormina para el almuerzo. Tuvimos un gran almuerzo en una bonita terraza. La pizza era la mejor que tuvimos en Taormina y una gran carbonara también. Terminé viniendo aquí para almorzar dos de los cuatro días aquí. Buena relación calidad-precio y lo recomendaría.

04/05/2025: Lindo comedor con vista, pero eso es todo. La comida es promedio, pero sorprendentemente el vino fue diluido. Pedimos una jarra de vino tinto de la casa y nos quedamos atónitos cuando lo probamos y obviamente era medio agua. Nunca he tenido esto en ningún restaurante.

07/09/2025: The americano coffe went today ( 7/9/25) from 2€ at 10:15 to 3€ at 17:50 i didn't say a word to the smiley lady who took my money im on holidays and not going to have an argument for an euro, but here is my warning to you...in reaity im curious maybe if i come back at 21h..... will it be even more expensive or cheaper?? Aaaah the wonders and surprises a tourist has to endure someplaces.....
