13/05/2026: A special place, good food, good service, excellent value for money... hard to find in Taormina.
12/05/2026: By far one of the best pizzas I've had in life, out of many I've had in Italy. I had the Fuoco d'Etna, which had salami and a wonderful spicy sauce with a buretta of cheese in the middle. The crust was made with five different types of wheat. Would absolutely go back next time I'm in Taormina.

02/05/2026: Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and wines were really good, but unfortunately food was disappointing. Our starters were ok but pasta dishes were dry and tasteless. Try something else than pasta.

01/05/2026: I recently visited this restaurant and had a truly fantastic experience. The staff was immediately welcoming and professional.
The food was simply excellent: carefully prepared dishes and quality ingredients.
Each course was beautifully presented and incredibly tasty.
The live music made the evening even more special, creating the perfect atmosphere to relax and enjoy dinner.
I absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for good food, excellent service, and a pleasant overall experience!

02/05/2026: After several days in Taormina, we ate at four restaurants, and this was by far the best I've had, along with Mama Rosa's restaurant. We had a fantastic evening!
The pistachio and guanciale pasta was exceptional!
Don't bother going to Don Nino's tavern a little further down; it's not quite as good as here at La Grotta Azzura.
Thank you so much to the whole team at La Grotta Azzura!!
02/05/2026: The waiter was super friendly, the food was exceptional, and they've changed the restaurant's decor, which is much more elegant! Don't bother queuing for another restaurant further away, because this one is better :)

05/01/2026: We discovered it by chance yesterday. We came to see the living nativity scene and were looking for a place to eat and a lady recommended this place to us... we ate well and the service was truly excellent.
12/12/2025: The atmosphere is welcoming and very refined. I absolutely recommend it. Francesco and Deborah are exceptional.

11/05/2026: It was so delicious that I visited twice during my stay. First of all, the restaurant is located in the heart of the bustling city center, and the experience of eating on a staircase is unique.
Appetizers: Sicilian salad, vegetable soup, and tomato soup were all very rich!
Pizza: Capricciosa, prosciutto pizza
Pasta: Bolognese, carbonara, lobster pasta
I was able to request that all the pasta be made with spaghetti! The flavors are something that any Japanese person would find delicious, and the firmness of the noodles was just right. The carbonara was especially amazing!!
The desserts and the service from the staff were also excellent, and they even set off fireworks for Mother's Day! 😹❤️

06/05/2026: Their clam chowder was incredibly delicious; the bread dipped in the broth was absolutely amazing. This soup is divine. The clam pasta was also very good, not too salty. The portions are all very generous. The steak was just okay; half of what I got was tendon, and I couldn't cut it.
The service was excellent and very friendly.

09/05/2026: Horrible service. We did arrive around 5 pm and asked if we could sit for drinks only - which at that time seemed ok!
Afterwards we were approached by few waiters asking if we’d eat as well. After ordering drinks and a bottle of water I only received my drinks. I asked for water twice and one of the waiters came to ask if I’d eat anything.
I asked for the bill without finishing our drinks as the attitude was unacceptable to then be approached by an angry waiter asking me if they did anything wrong. 😂
I don’t recommend the place - unsure if they’re homophobic or just rude.
04/05/2026: The staff is fantastic, the food is delicious, and the drinks are fantastic (the bartender is a master).
We tried it for the first time, and the next day we went in blind!!!
We 100% recommend it and will definitely be back 😎👊

18/01/2026: We stumbled upon this place by chance on the way up to Taormina. It's very cute, well-maintained, and the staff is welcoming and kind. As for the food, I have to say it's excellent. I should point out that I'm a vegetarian, and finding creative alternatives in Italian restaurants is difficult. But here, I was pleasantly surprised. I had a cauliflower meatball appetizer and a porcini mushroom panzerotti with parmesan cream. Both were plentiful and very good. The price is standard for Taormina, so it's fair to say.
20/11/2025: A perfect restaurant, just a six-minute walk from the center.
You get great value for your money, high quality, and attentive service.
Highly recommended!

We came here after strolling through Taormina. Don't be intimidated by the large menus. The owner and his team take excellent care of their guests. The swordfish carpaccio was perfect, and the pasta was superb. They even offer complimentary bruschetta beforehand and almond liqueur afterward.
Cloth tablecloths and napkins complete the ambiance. The value for money is very good.
We can't understand the bad reviews.

17/10/2025: We had an absolutely legendary lunch at Caffe Isola Bella. Nazar and Fabio guided us through the menu. The food was very good. Can’t wait to come back for round two.
