10/04/2026: Expensive, not good, and not recommended!

02/01/2026: My experience was decidedly positive. A la carte New Year's Eve dinner. Unfortunately, it was a rainy evening, which prevented us from enjoying what we had planned. They were helpful and friendly, allowing us to toast the New Year with our own bottles! And not only that... they served lentils and cotechino without asking. A suggestion for all restaurants open on New Year's Eve with an à la carte menu: charge a €20 cover charge per person rather than rightfully inflating the menu. When you add value to good food and customer service, you make a difference. Thank you for everything.

05/05/2026: The lady taking orders made us feel very uncomfortable with her rude manner. The prices are strange, as a single course costs as much as a full menu. We ordered both the meat and fish menus, and the bruschetta were good. As for the first courses, the pasta alla norma had too much oil but was decent, while the seafood one was good. The second courses, on the other hand, were pitiful. And, to top it all off, a 75cl bottle of water costs €4. I wouldn't go back; there's much better.

05/05/2026: The pasta was amazing, we all had pasta and it was perfectly cooked (italian style), the eggplant parmigiano was amazing too, the bruschetta needs a bit off work especially the bread but it was off season and it is a small inconvenience for the entire experience and the taste of the rest of the food. All in all the lady owner was amazing, the food was great and we recommend this hidden gem!

13/05/2026: This is truly a top-class restaurant! We thoroughly enjoyed the breathtaking view, the incredibly friendly service, and of course the unbelievably delicious food. Everything about the evening was simply perfect. We are so grateful to the chef and the staff of Capinera for giving us such an unforgettable evening. Sincere thanks! 🙏

10/05/2026: The food was excellent, although naturally, not everything in a large menu can appeal to everyone. The pace of the courses was almost uncomfortably fast; eight courses were served in just over two hours. I would have preferred a slower pace and a break between courses. The service was a bit overeager. While I appreciate attentive service, I don't like feeling like I'm being watched. This prevented any intimate or private dining atmosphere from developing. The ambiance itself is nicely designed, but the restaurant is located between a railway line and a main road, and the view outside was rather industrial and appeared neglected.

31/12/2025: is terrible, the food have no taste or taste bad. is expensive and 4€ only for the fork and the knife.

30/12/2025: Food was average, we got a fish from the specials which was a bit rubbery and the potatoes for garnish were just raw. Sea food pasta with clams and zucchini and mint was kind of ok.

30/05/2026: We had lunch at KISTE in Taormina as a group of four and enjoyed the five-course tasting menu. From the moment we arrived, we knew we had discovered something special. KISTE is located in a charming and peaceful courtyard, right in the heart of Taormina yet wonderfully removed from the crowded tourist streets. It offers a calm and elegant atmosphere that makes you instantly relax and feel at home. The service was exceptional—warm, attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming, while remaining relaxed and unobtrusive. We felt incredibly well looked after throughout the entire experience. The food was simply outstanding. From the delicious appetizers to the exquisite fish dishes and the incredible desserts, every course was beautifully presented and full of flavor. A particular highlight was being able to sample all of the desserts from the à la carte menu, which was a wonderful ending to an unforgettable meal. Without a doubt, this was the best meal of our entire Sicily trip and one of the highlights of our journey. We would recommend KISTE to anyone visiting Taormina. An absolute gem and a truly memorable experience.

09/05/2026: The restaurant is located in a small alley perpendicular to the main shopping street. Once seated, the view is magnificent. The welcome and service are impeccable, and the pizzas were delicious. The prices are in line with Taormina standards.

09/11/2025: We’ve been all around Italy and have never had a bad meal until tonight. Terrible pizza, tasteless crust and toppings. Had the Seabass supposedly encrusted with almonds….. horrible as well. I saw someone at another table barely eat their pizza as well. Don’t go here.

07/11/2025: We had our first lunch of our 2 week Italy trip here. We loved the Margherita and pesto pizzas. My husband also got the gnocchi, which he loved. Cute outdoor spot for lunch, would recommend.

09/04/2026: Great restaurant. Affordable prices and absolutely lovely taste! We had Calamari alla Siciliana and pizza Gazela, both really scrumptious. Really close to the city centre so it's really worth the walk. The toilets are clean and smell nice.

19/04/2026: A quick reflection: I've been frequenting Taormina since I was 14, when, penniless and a little envious, I would spy on the "grown-ups" sitting at the Mokambo café, which wasn't your average bar but a mandatory stop, not for everyone, to start the evening. Playboys and dandies would set the already sultry summer evenings ablaze with their presence, smiles laced with seduction on tanned faces and white suits with unbuttoned shirts. The evenings continued at the "Giara" of the great Cico Scimone and then the Manuli brothers. I watched them—Turi Pollicina, Mimmo Cassaniti, Vito Costa, Carlo Spina, to name a few—and I waited until I grew up to be able to match or surpass them. Love, betrayal, and unscrupulousness passed over those tables, and little by little I managed to secure a table that was always reserved in that whirlwind of emotions called Mokambo. Together with lifelong friends Giovanni Costa, Seby di Giovanni, Alfredo Minissale, Ugo Pollicina, and Guido Costa, we spent decades doing what was natural to us: experiencing the nightlife in all its strangest facets, to the fullest and without limits. Years later, now married and "with my head in the clear," as they say, I found myself in Taormina last Saturday evening with my wife, and after dinner at "cu ti lu dissi," an excellent restaurant in Porta Catania owned by friends Fabio and Francesco, we decided to have a drink at Mokambo. We walked along the Corso, with many shops closed due to the late hour (9:10 PM), and to our great surprise, we found Mokambo CLOSED. Asking around, we were told that closing time was 9:00 PM. 9:00 PM. 9:00 PM. How sad. One of the historic symbols of Taormina's nightlife closed at 9:00 PM. But does the new ownership (Dolce & Gabbana) know that nightlife in Taormina starts after 9 PM? Shame on them!!! The time for weirdness is certainly over for us, but I believe an era that saw us as the protagonists of the last episode is over!!!

01/05/2026: Good cannoli and prices are okay. The staff were incredibly patient and friendly with my daughter—they let her choose exactly the cannolo she felt like having. I don’t quite understand why this place has such low ratings on Google Maps. The dolci looks there incredible :) It was open till the late hour, despite the fact that the weather was bad and there weren't too many tourists outside.

10/04/2026: I went to this place for lunch, and I have to say I wasn't very satisfied the first time. But when I was passing by with friends, they wanted to stop even though I said I hadn't had a good time. We decided to stop anyway, and I have to say it was an excellent choice! We were greeted by a young woman with a mesmerizing smile. She was truly beautiful, very friendly, kind, and above all, very attentive. She was at our table if we needed anything. We even joked with her, and I have to say she was very nice, but above all, very elegant, even carrying the tray. It was truly amazing! We ordered Sicilian bruschetta, a mixed platter, and what can I say? It was spectacular. Our palates exploded with pleasure. In all of Taormina, I've never eaten such wonderful bruschetta. Not to mention the spectacular parmigiana. My compliments to the kitchen staff. And I commend the owners for having such a cheerful and kind waitress. We'll definitely be back! 😍 We'll recommend it to everyone.
