04/08/2024: Vi var blevet anbefalet at prøve denne restaurant. Vi fik kalve tatar til forret. Jeg fik Tun filet tataki til hovedret og min kone fik kalve filet. Alt smagte fremragende. Restauranten ligger lidt væk fra strøget og ved en smuk park. Man kan også få pastaretter.

We decide to leave and not wait for a place that was supposed to be reserved but, outside the restaurant, we are stopped by another waiter of the restaurant who decides to make a table available to us, which we understood was normally intended for a larger group of people. numerous. This attempt by the waiter to smooth over the situation was, however, outweighed by the rudeness of the first waiter, the one who had welcomed us as soon as we arrived, who loudly and in a very rude tone accused us of not having given him time to say that the table was available and that they were simply finishing setting it up. It's a shame, however, that this same treatment was reserved for all the customers who arrived after us with reservations, it was in fact a succession of complaints from people left standing and waiting, disconcerted by the lack of seriousness and professionalism that one would expect from a restaurant that It passes itself off as a classy place. Moving on to the culinary aspect, the dishes were mediocre: the shrimp and vegetable tempura was heavy, the linguine with mussels and clams was very salty and completely unrelated to the sauce, it looked like pasta with oil in broth, while the fish soup, still served steaming, it had thorns. We left the pasta intact and no one approached us to ask us if there was some problem with the dishes. With reference to waiting times, we waited for the first one for a good hour and 45 minutes, the people around us were snorting because they were hungry, a group of exhausted tourists, with a child of about three years old, left early that they decide to bring the dishes, all surrounded by a couple of customers next to us who will have waited for the table for 45 minutes because the diktat of the place is to make people wait indefinitely rather than granting a table of four to just two people, even if there is no longer a queue outside the venue. I conclude by saying that although we were sitting inside we suffered a lot from the heat. What to say? It was a Saturday evening of passion, inefficient organisation, not enough dishes, and this happens when the customer for certain establishments represents only a wallet from which to take as much advantage as possible with minimal effort. Evidently the difficulties of the lockdown have not raised awareness even of this range of restaurants which in the end are "touristy" in the worst possible sense.

31/07/2024: Returned after great experience last year. You think you’re going inside but the restaurant has no roof! Decor is fun, husband and wife team doing a great job, food, service, ambience and value all excellent

22/07/2024: Loved this quirky spot for casual dining and cocktails. An inside/outside restaurant in a relaxed atmosphere surround by colorful decorations and trees. Pasta dishes were very tasty! On another day, we were greeted by a staff/family member playing the piano, which added to the overall atmosphere of the place.

13/10/2023: We came to Stromboli by boat for the afternoon. Our captain recommended Da Giovanni. We ordered a pizza alla Norma and an octopus salad. The octopus was tender and tasty. The pizza!!! The crust was so light and delicious we ate the entire pizza. I highly recommend!!

09/10/2023: finalmente dopo 2 anni dall'ultima visita siamo tornati a stromboli, e uno dei motivi per cui siamo tornati è certamente la spettacolare pizza di Giovanni. Materie prime di eccelsa qualità, prezzi ottimi e sopratutto la grande cortesia e gentilezza di Giovanni, che ci ha anche offerto una Malvasia bio e a chiusura locale si è intrattenuto in una piacevole chiacchierata!

07/08/2024: I went to this nice place with my girlfriend. They assigned us a table on the terrace where we were the only ones until the end of dinner. Beautiful welcome and a lot of attention from the waiters. Excellent food, fresh and good quality fish. The only but not insignificant negative note was the bill. Having booked with the fork we were entitled to a 20% discount on the courses excluding drinks and instead we paid the amount in full. In particular, we ordered and paid as per the menu: house starter €30, tagliolini with mazzara prawns €27, braids with red pesto and swordfish €16, Salina bianca wine €24, a still water €4.5, 1 semifreddo with almonds €8, cover charge €3.50 each so €116.5 in total instead of €99. Highly recommended place but to avoid if you count on receiving the pre-arranged discount on the fork

31/07/2024: Excellent dinner, very good caponata and pasta alla norma and for the second course truly special citrus spatula rolls. The restaurant is in an alley on the main street of Lipari, it has tables both outdoors and indoors.

28/07/2024: Very familiar environment, covered tables, wood oven, excellent pizzas, home cooking. Much appreciated by those who work in the area, but also by tourists. Economical costs. The place is of limited space but the service is quick. Local, practically, almost always open. Perhaps, and this would be a suggestion for Luchino, I would avoid closing for lunch in July and August, perhaps by doing shifts.

01/07/2024: The excellent location, surrounded by nature and just a few minutes from the sea and the most famous tourist areas to visit (Giardini Naxos, Taormina, Catania, Etna, Isola Bella, Montemola) The hospitality of Mr. Angelo and his family is something that you are not lucky enough to encounter in life. 11/06/2024: We stayed two nights in this beautiful hotel. Room facing the sea, large, clean, with every comfort. A magnificent equipped terrace. Excellent cuisine with availability of gluten-free products. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Possibility to park the motorbike right outside the reception, monitored on sight.

24/05/2024: I stayed one night in this splendid hotel in Capodorlando and was extremely satisfied. The staff was friendly and courteous, always attentive to guests' needs. I had the pleasure of having dinner in the hotel and I must say that the quality of the food was excellent, I ate very well. The entire staff was always available and ready to satisfy any request. The cleanliness was impeccable, with great attention to detail. My room, in addition to being comfortable, had a spectacular view overlooking the promenade and the sea, giving me a breathtaking view.

21/08/2024: The staff was highly rude to start with. I ordered a seafood salad which you think no one can do badly right? Well you’re wrong. The seafood-had no taste, there was one shrimp inside and 2 capers-I counted. At the end they tried to charge me extra onions that I requested and tomatoes cca 6 euros. When I asked if they were serious, the chef came and told me to get lost and never come back again. Please do yourself a favor and go someplace else. Cheers

26/07/2024: What a beautiful venue, next to the beach and the breeze was perfect. We really enjoy the atmosphere! And then, our pasta was really good, however our lobster had very little meat and although they said it was going to be grilled, it came out broiled, we had to send it back. We rarely do this. That was sad and then we were a little lost on translation as I asked for fish dish instead and they thought I didn't want anything else. Anyhow.
