19/05/2025: Wandering around Catania, right in the center of Piazza Mazzini, I stopped for lunch at "Il Maggese". Restaurant and pizzeria with indoor and outdoor seating, family-run. I was welcomed by Giuseppe, the owner, a helpful, friendly and open-minded person. Pleasant atmosphere and simple but tasty cuisine. Excellent value for money. I recommend stopping by and trying it for yourself: it's really worth it.

27/03/2025: Sublime granita, especially the pistachio one. Truly FABULOUS! The ice cream is just as good. After a day at the beach it's the icing on the cake. The place has seating both indoors (with relative air conditioning) and outdoors under a gazebo and in front of the bar itself in a space in front. Table service is quick but in my opinion, especially in high season, more staff could be useful. TOPPPPPPPIIIIIIISSSSSIMO

Service was ok, nothing to write home about. Overall, would recommend a visit on your trip to Sicily - a great spot in Scopello

09/03/2025: Arriving late in Ragusa, we found this place for a family dinner of 5. Perfect welcome, cozy and warm atmosphere and good Sicilian dishes, all in a very nice musical atmosphere. I highly recommend!

14/05/2025: This place is an absolute must go to! We got married on a private beach, just the two of us, and decided to have our private wedding dinner here. It was a Monday night and we had the entire place to ourselves. The chef created a prix fixe menu prior to our arrival and served each course to to us personally. Every course was Michelin star worthy and the presentation was beyond compare. They selected wine and made sure we had beautiful jazz music playing during our dinner. It was an experience that we will remember forever. If this place isn't already on Michelin's radar, it needs to be. Go here before the word gets out because this chef is not to be missed! Side note: bring cash. While they do take cards, their machine was *broken* and we had to scramble to get cash after our dinner. We didn't care because it was a perfect wedding dinner so the hassle was worth it.

12/06/2025: We visited this restaurant after seeing some great recommendations, but unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to expectations. The food was fairly average by Palermo standards — nothing particularly memorable. What really affected the experience was the service; the waiter was quite pushy, which made us feel rushed and a bit uncomfortable. Overall, not a terrible meal, but i wouldn’t return.

07/06/2025: Visitamos este restaurante después de pasar y quedar impresionados con la ubicación y el estilo del lugar. Revisamos las reseñas y reservamos en línea a través de Fork. A la llegada nos mostraron a nuestra mesa y luego esperamos 25 minutos para un menú y otros 15 minutos para pedir nuestras bebidas y comida. La espera en el personal era hosca hasta el punto de la grosería. ¿El gerente/propietario? Del restaurante estaba alrededor y siento que había notado la verdadera falta de servicio y atención al detalle. ¡Ha comentado a un camarero nuestra situación en los menús o una sensación de que todavía podíamos haber estado esperando! Parece darse cuenta de las cuestiones relativas al servicio, la limpieza de mesas, etc. Normalmente habríamos pedido 3 platos y una botella de vino, pero nos desanimó la actitud y pedimos pizzas y una copa de vino solamente. La camarera señaló groseramente que era todo. Las pizzas eran excelentes, pero llegaron antes que nuestro vino. La camarera solo nos gritó “terminado” antes de quitarnos los platos, no hay mención de cómo estaba la comida, ¿queríamos un dolce, bebidas, etc. Pagamos y nos fuimos. Qué lástima que nunca volviera puramente al servicio y la actitud. Gracias al gerente por su atención y tiene razón en saber que necesita observar lo que está pasando.

17/05/2025: A tour of Etna? Here is the starting point! From Paradise the itinerary starts (photocopies available to tourists) for Rifugio Sapienza, Etna Cableway and Silvestri Craters. Then, reaching Zafferana Etnea, the other excursions to the Etna North part start. And after the excursions here is a welcoming, private and quiet environment where you can rest with a view of the olive groves and orchards, volcano and fantastic green countryside! Here is the ideal place to relax and prepare the new excursion perhaps pushing on to Taormina! Beautiful rooms and excellent cuisine, kindness, courtesy and competence of all the staff. Highly recommended.

16/05/2025: A hotel run with great care by a father and daughter, where everything is just right. There's a pizzeria and a traditional Italian restaurant, both serving food and drinks at very reasonable prices, with three types of draft beer available. We had a room with a balcony overlooking Mount Etna, spewing glowing lava, which was very impressive. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
