24/10/2025: We had a lovely quiet lunch here during our day exploring Catania. The gentleman serving us was very nice and we both enjoyed our meals (especially the caprese). Would certainly come back if we return to Sicily!

07/10/2025: Me and my 4 sisters attended this restaurant for a birthday lunch, can I start off by saying the restaurant itself is beautiful! The decor is very unique alongside the placement of all the random vintage pieces along the wall magnificent! We ordered a few dishes and the total amount (€160) was extremely affordable we live in London so the price difference for the seafood was great! If you come definitely get the grilled sea-bream it was cooked to perfection, the mussels were very tasty so was the octopus salad! The only downside was the grilled prawns I feel they could have grilled them for longer maybe split them down the middle so they are cleaned better and included more seasonings as they were very bland. Apart from the prawns everything else was amazing the service was excellent and we was even offered lemoncello on the house. I would definitely come back when we are next in Sicily.

07/09/2025: This place is not right off the road as it looks. It’s up a switch back and down another long road. Furthermore the hours are wrong. We came here at 1:30pm on a Sunday and the place was deserted. Not sure if it’s closed temporarily or permanently…

12/07/2025: A lovely restaurant with friendly staff and great food in a quiet location just down some steps from the main street. The baccala was really good! We will return.

11/07/2025: Abbiamo prenotato la cena è una volta arrivati il locale era chiuso! Che inseriscano gli orari/date dettagliate. Ovviamente è stato un vero disagio poi trovare altro posto dove mangiare alle 20:30 di sera.

11/10/2025: Truly subpar food. Poorly fried panelle, overcooked pasta, and soggy eggplant rolls with a "mushy" filling. It's a shame for a place that bills itself as "popular cuisine since 1834."

11/10/2025: Panelle are good, but pasta with sardines is a no-no: you can only taste and see the fennel. Eggplant rolls are a no-no: the filling is tasteless, perhaps made with a Thermomix. How sad.

16/11/2025: The view from the terrace is truly breathtaking – worth a visit for that alone. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to it. The pizzaiolo was off duty, which didn't bother us since we came for the terrace. But the dishes were disappointing: the breaded items seemed drowned in flour and bland, they were generally lacking in salt, and the meatballs were the only thing that was any good. On our evening, we even saw some guests leave after their appetizers – and we can understand why. For the view: yes. For the food: not so much.

20/08/2025: Last year I rented a house nearby. My neighbor recommended I go for pizza. That year, I didn't have time, so I didn't go. I returned this year and rented another house nearby for the holidays. So I went with my family for pizza. I booked a table outside. The tables are practically right next to the sea, although since it's dark, you can't see anything. The pizza is truly excellent. I had a four-flavor pizza, as I like it: ham, artichokes, sausage, and mushrooms. The toppings were plentiful, or rather, very plentiful. Excellent. So I even went back a second time to get it to take out. I also tried the spaghetti tarantina with mussels, and I found them delicious and very well-seasoned. The service was prompt and very attentive. The prices are average. Recommended.

30/09/2025: The pizzas are delicious, the pizza chefs are excellent, the place is nice and the staff are friendly.

29/09/2025: We ordered takeout pizzas. Needless to say, the food arrived almost an hour after ordering (cold), after numerous calls to the restaurant, which arrogantly responded by saying they were already out. I've read other reviews complaining about poor delivery service, so I'm not the first.

28/08/2025: I've been to O Chianu, right in Piazza San Giovanni, and it was a pleasant experience: the place is informal, with outdoor tables that create a decidedly welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a carefree evening. I tried the pizza and scacciuni (a typical Ragusa specialty) and I must say that the dough is among the best, crispy and light, with authentic ingredients and lots of flavor.

07/11/2025: At the Leocata bakery, you can find all kinds of bread: from those made with traditional flours to those made with specialty flours. You'll also find all kinds of pizzas and a wide variety of desserts, prepared by bakery chef Maurizio. All served by the very kind Cinzia.

01/11/2025: I bought a package on toogoodtogo, arrived at the appointed time, and the place is closed...🙄😩 Edit: A little humility, sir. Shameful... I'm attaching a photo of your closed place. I knocked on the door for 10 minutes, and no one answered.

12/10/2025: We booked a table, and after a 2-hour wait, we left without eating. Total disorganization. Highly not recommended.

07/09/2025: A restaurant-pizzeria definitely worth a try! The atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming, perfect for both a quiet dinner and a special evening. The quality of the food is excellent: from the restaurant dishes, always prepared with attention to detail, to the pizzas with a light, easily digestible dough, made with top-quality ingredients. I also really appreciated the attention paid to those who, like me, suffer from food intolerances: finding lactose-free options was an added bonus. Congratulations on the professionalism and passion that shine through in every dish!

31/10/2025: We ordered 3 portions of fish and chips and squid to take away. The food was prepared very slowly. (approx. 20-30 minutes) When paying, it turned out that we could not pay by card, only cash. The paper cone we received contained very little squid, but at least it was expensive. We will not go here again, I do not recommend it.

29/10/2025: The arancini were okay, but the pizza was just okay in my opinion. Poor edges, cold, nothing special.

01/10/2025: We've always gotten cakes and snacks here. Everything's good. Today is my mom's birthday, and we got a cake. Very disappointed, it wasn't what I wanted.
