06/09/2025: This is worth visiting when on holiday in Pula. We had twice dinner in one week and the taste and quality were superb. Instead of other reviews: the price is much better than at our nearby hotel. Recommended and do try the homemade cheesecake for dessert!

06/09/2025: It was close to the hotel where we were staying, and we decided to try it. It has a lovely little terrace and a unique garden that gives it a magical feel. We ordered a sharing dish (fish carpaccio), very fresh and light, and then a pasta dish. I chose the Penne in Cream of Gamberi, and it was a hearty and flavorful dish. It was my choice to try something different.

23/02/2026: Too bad: the place itself is cozy, but the service was very slow and the quality of the pizzas was no longer very good (compared to at least a year ago); the pizzas couldn't be cut properly (they use unsuitable and/or impractical knives), they hadn't risen well, and one even had an almost completely burnt/charred bottom!!

07/03/2026: The first courses were good, especially the seafood carbonara (off the menu), which was very good. I recommend it, as well as the mussels in tomato sauce. They have a good vegan option; we had the tortelli dell'ammiraglio, which were very good.

10/01/2026: The pizza was good, but we booked for 9:30 PM on a rainy day. We had to wait outside for half an hour, and then, after sitting down, we waited another half hour to order. Furthermore, the dining room door was right next to our table, so it was cold if left open. The staff, however, was very friendly despite the high-pressure day.

15/02/2026: Valentine's Day, with my girlfriend: This is the fifth time I've been to Pomata in a few months, but I'm still treated like a complete stranger. The waitress comes to our table after a long wait and sets it rather brusquely. Afterwards, while she jokes with the people at the table next to her, carefully explaining the dishes, as is customary in high-end restaurants, she almost throws our plates on the table, whispering, "tuna..." (it was a tuna fillet, with foie gras and cream, and eggplant mousse) and walks away... On another occasion, she's quite icy and finally gives my girlfriend a dirty look. I decide it's too much, and without saying anything to her, I get up, go to the cashier, and ask if she'd kindly have another waiter attend us for the rest of the dinner. The cashier, without even asking why, immediately takes their employee's side, saying, "Are you kidding? She's been with us for years... She's great!" I ask her if it's normal for a very good waitress to rudely place a dish on the table and leave without a smile or a description of what she's serving... something that happens in upscale restaurants and that I see happening at other tables. I ask her how I should rate their restaurant and repeat that I don't want another waitress to come to our table who, for no apparent reason, gives us dirty looks. While the cashier continues to say it's impossible and doesn't believe it, I return to the table. Pomata arrives and asks us if everything is okay? I say no, and when he asks for an explanation (not wanting to burden my girlfriend's evening), I invite him to have his assistant at the cash register explain it to him, to whom I'd already told everything. For dessert, a very friendly waiter finally arrives to serve us, who not only describes the dish but does so in a very engaging way. At the end of the evening, we go to the cashier, and neither Pomata nor the cashier, despite being present, offer any further information about our evening, much less apologize for their employee's rudeness. We leave, and while I'm thinking I'll hardly ever return, we meet the friendly waiter outside smoking, the only positive note of the evening, besides, of course, my beautiful companion. I think that food aside, in a place where expectations should be much higher, it would be enough to have a different view of customers, so as not to lose them...

08/03/2026: Unfortunately, today we waited over an hour for two sandwiches... they served a table first that arrived about 45 minutes after us. I'm sorry, but even when we asked for an explanation, they ignored us... I should point out that there was also a little girl at our table.

01/03/2026: We went for lunch today, we had a picanha burger, the best I've ever eaten, juicy, tasty with a delicate sauce, welcoming, elegant and clean environment, very kind staff, I highly recommend it. 👏

02/10/2025: We've traveled extensively in Italy, and this is the best gelato we've ever had! Delicious and creamy, and the flavors are incredible. Only natural ingredients are used. Everything is truly delicious! The fruit gelatos, like pineapple, strawberry, pistachio, and hazelnut, are magical. Worth a visit!

30/09/2025: We had a milkshake and ice cream. Both were truly exceptional quality and organic. They even had gluten-free waffles for those who need them.

20/12/2025: My partner and I had dinner one evening during our holidays this year in July, and I must honestly say that I even licked my lips....the malloreddus with goat and pecorino cheese sauce were wonderful, I still dream about them....and the braised tuna Sulcitana style was equally cooked to perfection...those combinations and explosion of flavours that you don't get to try so often....truly congratulations...10 with honours

20/10/2025: We came in a group of 6. For starter we ordered mussels which some of them were spoiled (they didn't open so not so fresh). For main course: fregula with prawns was not salty, a bit bitter and dull (too little acid in the dish), dish with tuna, which was dry and overcocked, and malloreddus with goat meat which was fine, but pasta was a bit too al dente. PS. To owner reply, I don't mean to slander the restaurant, but I do live near the sea, and 1/3 mussels od mussels where Home, and fregula was just bad. I couldn't finish the dish due to bitterness and dullnes, and I am not a picky eater. To finish malloreddus dish was fine, I would order that again.
