I had a tuna tartare on mozzarella foam for an appetizer, and I have to say it was delicious. For the first course, the Mediterranean fregola was unfortunately a bit too flavorful for my taste, dry and served on a shallow plate. In other restaurants, they serve it like soup in a deep dish; I would have enjoyed it more if it had been more soupy. For the second course, the suckling pig was excellent. The place is beautiful, clean, and well-maintained. The staff is friendly and professional. If you're looking for a treat, this is the place to go. Based on my personal experience, I'd rate it 4 out of 5 stars, because the fregola wasn't top-notch for me, but that doesn't mean the place isn't worthy of a 5-star rating.

A pleasant experience. I went for lunch and ordered the tuna tasting menu. I tried dishes using different parts of the tuna (some I'd never tried before), and there were plenty of pleasant surprises. Interesting.

I've had the opportunity to experience Luigi Pomata's cuisine on several occasions: both at the bistro in Carloforte and at Da Nicolò.
While I was truly enthusiastic about the bistro, at Da Nicolò, while I enjoyed it very much (also thanks to the August season and the atmosphere), the experience fell slightly short of expectations.
I was therefore very curious to try the restaurant in Cagliari, and I must say that this time the experience was truly excellent.
The chef was extremely courteous: it's always a pleasure when he personally welcomes you to the table.
The staff is highly trained, knowledgeable about the dishes, ingredients, and presentation, and above all, extremely attentive to service.
I chose a tuna tasting, Pomata's signature dish, and the traditional linguine: prepared with 20-month-old tuna, lemon zest, pecorino cheese, and olives.
An excellent dish.
The dessert was simply excellent.
The setting is chic, refined, with attention to detail, and an elegant yet never stuffy atmosphere.
The place was packed, but the service remained impeccable and seamless.
The wine list was also excellent, well-constructed and consistent with the food.
An experience that confirms the very high standard. Well done.

Authentic ingredients are selected by renowned chef Luigi, who elegantly adds a touch of flavor to his dishes. Fast and friendly service, and excellent wines are offered, carefully selected to pair with the dishes.

A long-established family restaurant, now run by renowned chef Luigi Pomata. Expectations were high, of course. The place is pleasant and well-decorated. The only flaw was a slight unpleasant odor at the entrance, which, however, didn't extend into the dining room. We chose some tuna-based dishes, even though we knew the season wouldn't be until May. The food (girotonno
and fritto misto) was neither good nor bad, and the high expectations were evident. The butter served with the anchovy bread was delicious, as was the family's signature dish, Linguine alla Nicoló, with tuna, capers, olives, and cheese. The wine list is interesting; our choice (Champagne) was excellent, offering excellent value.

It's always a wonderful experience dining here. All the dishes bear the distinct signature of the charming and histrionic Carloforte chef Luigi Pomata. The route he offers during the tuna race season is spectacular. Prices are reasonable for the service and food quality.

We're the couple with the dachshund; we ate divinely at Luigi's, with his masterpieces, refined delicacies. Some say the plates are small, but we left feeling full with a first course, a second course, and a dessert. A delight for the palate. We'll be back soon!
