08/12/2024: SOS. POST ESPECIALLY FOR THOSE WITH FOOD ALLERGIES AND INTOLERANCES I share this experience because it perhaps saves the lives of those with food allergies. I went to eat pizza, I ordered a white pizza, reiterating several times to the waiter that I am allergic to tomatoes, it makes my glottis edema and my throat closes to the point of suffocation, which was happening to me yesterday in this pizzeria as they put tomato in my pizza, which being covered by mozzarella and cut thinly I didn't see it, I felt my throat begin to swell while I ate the second bite of pizza. I immediately called the waitress and asked if there was any tomato in the pizza among the strips of meat, reminding her that I am allergic. The waitress ran into the kitchen to ask. The answer froze me, Yes, there is some dried tomato cooked with strips. Ruined dinner, rush to the emergency room as I didn't have any drugs on hand. Done four doses of cortisone and antihistamine. I wonder if a person's life can depend on the seriousness and professionalism of a waiter. Never again. Cross. Having said that, be careful, don't trust anyone who says they have noted your allergies and intolerances. P.S. More insult than injury, in addition to creating danger to my life, they also made me pay for two cans of tea that we neither ordered nor consumed. For goodness sake. I hope you read especially if you have food allergies.

23/06/2024: Posto incantevole in riva al mare, sulla spiaggia, cucina strepitosa, personale gentilissimo. Ottimi gli gnocchi di patate viola, la sfera di cioccolato indimenticabile, il pesce e gli antipasti. Bravi

17/06/2024: Nous avions prévu de dîner à l'autre extrémité de la plage de Torre Grande, mais le lieu nous a semblé mal entretenu et entouré de travaux ! Nous avons réservé une table à Riva Nord et ce fut quasiment le meilleur dîner en plus de quatre semaines de Sardaigne ! Cuisine fine, parfois revisitée mais surtout locale et à base de produits frais ! Choix de vin sympathique et à prix doux. Desserts vraiment exceptionnels, créatifs et pas excessivement sucrés. Tout fut à notre goût, pour un prix sage...

29/12/2024: Today I had lunch with my family, 6 people, 4 adults and 2 children, we had a great time! All very good, excellent service, reasonable price, with a beautiful veranda overlooking the port!

23/12/2024: I went to this restaurant with my family and we really enjoyed it. The raw fish was delicious, as were all the other dishes we ordered, prepared with care and very fresh ingredients. Despite a small initial inconvenience - the table was not ready at the time of our reservation and we had to wait almost 40 minutes - the staff were extremely professional and courteous. To apologize, they offered us a welcome prosecco and, later, a plate of cicadas which we thoroughly enjoyed. A gesture that demonstrates attention to the customer and desire to remedy errors. We will definitely be back!

03/06/2024: La pizza piu fraca della Italia! I ordered a quatro formaggi and received 2 cheeses, probably they dont have enough cheese in the house, the pizza doesnt taste anything, I had to add salt to at least have some flavour. Go around and find other place.

23/04/2024: I have ordered pizza from this place several times and I have always been satisfied! You can see that they are made with quality ingredients. The seasoning is rich, always cooked to the point I like. Also, the staff is very friendly, the service is quick and the prices are competitive, I will continue to order from them

03/08/2024: We ordered a pinsa and a vegetarian dish via a delivery service. Really everything was excellent, one day we will go there live since we are in the same country

02/06/2024: We went to try this place for an aperitif, after seeing photos on the social pages. The products on the platter were all excellent, and they were able to advise us well on the drinks. The Drink plus chopping board formulas are excellent. Three of us spent €33.

04/09/2024: My wife and I noticed this cafe on our travels during our 10-day stay in Alghero and we were keen to try it for lunch. I'm pretty sure they only serve breakfast and lunch and NOT dinner but, no doubt the business owner can correct me, if that's wrong. We called in at about 1.50pm on Sunday 1 September 2024 (they close at 3pm on Sundays, we believe). What a lovely surprise it was and just as good as we hoped it would be. We ordered Formaggio Arrosto to share as a starter. After that we chose Gnocchetti Alla Campidanese and a Bomba Salad for our main courses. These were served with 5 (yes, 5!) bread rolls. The portions were very generous and the quality of the starter, main courses and even the bread rolls was outstanding. Absolutely outstanding. We sat and enjoyed the very Italian atmosphere of male customers and female staff talking in that loud, expressive, Italian way. All accompanied by music from the tv. The ladies who served us were really friendly and professional and the cafe style is modern, clean and fun. All in all a memorable experience for us. We won't go back but only because we'll probably never be back in Alghero. But anyone reading this and thinking of lunch really should try Pausa Caffe. I can't vouch for the breakfasts, because we only had lunch but the food, service and atmosphere were all first class. Update of Wednesday 4 September 2024 - We enjoyed our first meal here so much that we chose the Pausa Caffe for our final meal in Alghero, before flying home, as we enjoyed eating here more than anywhere else we'd tried. On this second occasion we ordered two salads, a Caesar and a Salmon and both were superb, again served with bread rolls. We had to wait until 12.30pm, as they don't serve lunch until then so we just sat and enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere again. Perfect! Lots of locals, obviously well-known to the staff made for a lovely friendly experience. A wonderful, final memory of Alghero. We would definitely recommend.

01/09/2024: Delicious (very big) English breakfast. Even for two there is enough to eat. Delicious coffee and chocolate/pistachio croissants. Very nice and helpful staff ☀️

25/07/2024: locale visitato già diverse volte, veramente dai 1000 volti. Cibo, buono, ottima scelta anche per accompagnare l'aperitivo. Anche i drinks sono buoni, ho bevuto uno dei migliori Americani di sempre!

24/07/2024: Nous sommes allés dîner lundi 22 juillet avec ma compagne. Nous avons commandé des nachos pour l'apéritif puis en plat des gnocchis et du saumon. Les boissons d'apéritif (biere et Spritz) sont servies mais sans les nachos. Ensuite les plats arrivent et 10 mn après on nous amène les nachos ! Nous les refusons puisque c'était trop tard !  Le serveur( un chauve avec des lunettes qui ne sourit jamais) s'est agacé en disant qu'on avait tout commandé en même temps ! Il manque visiblement de bon sens et ne connaît rien à son métier pour avoir de telles réflexions. (A noter qu en revanche les autres serveurs étaient très gentils et agréables) Après notre table voisine de 4 personnes a aussi fait une réclamation car le verre de vin (lambrusco) ne correspondait pas à la commande (là aussi le serveur chauve à lunettes s'est agacé...et a ensuite donné le verre à une autre table alors que le premier client l'avait goûté !) Ensuite nous commandons un cheesecake et un salty chocolate en dessert. Le cheesecake est amené mais après 2 réclamations aucune nouvelle du salty chocolate...( on nous explique qu'il y a eu une erreur sur la commande et qu'il a été amené à une autre table) C'est vrai que les serveurs traversaient 50 m pour aller du restaurant à la terrasse et donnaient l'impression qu'ils ne savaient pas trop où ils devaient amener les plats... Après 25 mn d'attente toujours pas de salty chocolate : nous décidons de partir et allons régler l'addition au comptoir. Nous expliquons notre mésaventure à la dame du bar nous dit être désolée, en revanche aucun geste sur l'addition ou café offert pour "compenser" Nous aussi nous sommes désolés : cela fait plus de 20 ans que nous allons au restaurant et nous n'avons jamais vu une telle désorganisation. Nous ne recommandons pas votre restaurant hormis pour le cheesecake qui était délicieux et les serveurs qui étaient gentils (sauf le chauve à lunettes, qui de toute evidence devrait changer de métier !)

14/12/2024: Comfortable hotel in Oristano. Comfortable and quiet rooms. Excellent location and convenient free internal parking. Good quality breakfast. Very kind and helpful staff. Excellent prices. A well-deserved four stars.

24/08/2024: Dopo una giornata al mare stavamo rientrando a casa e dato che i bambini avevano fame abbiamo cercato una pizzeria senza pretese, noi eravamo in tenuta da mare, siamo entrati a Carbonia e siamo finiti da Simone. Pizza buonissima, personale gentilissimo i bambini hanno divorato tutto. Grazie ai due ragazzi che ci hanno servito avere messo la ciliegina sulla torta a una giornata meravigliosa!

24/09/2024: Consigliato dall’hotel dove abbiamo soggiornato e invogliati dalle buone recensioni abbiamo così scoperto un eccellente ristorante. Pecorino arrosto con sfoglie di pane guttiau, gamberi in crosta di carasau, fregola sarda alle delizie di mare e gnocchetti sardi fatti a mano con cozze e gamberi e per finire seadas. Ogni piatto una piacevole sorpresa e delizia per il palato. Personale super gentile e accogliente. Consigliatissimo.

09/10/2024: Our hotel receptionist recommended this place for traditional food, she tried to call ahead to book, no answer. We decided to walk and try our luck. After 20 minutes of walking, we arrived, and the restaurant was closed despite on Google it showing as open. I really wish restaurants would update Google accordingly if they are closing for off peak season. This is the 3rd place we went to within this area which was closed but online said was open.

25/09/2024: Good food. A bit of confusion when placing the order. Gluten-free dishes can be ordered.

10/08/2024: Only tried the restaurant during an organized lunch. Punctual and prompt service, well-curated menu with very well-proposed dishes. Definitely a positive experience.

31/10/2024: We were lucky enough to have dinner here on any Monday in the middle of autumn, one of those days when those born and raised in a town are easily accustomed to expecting a midweek closure. We took two first courses of the house (space) and a sliced ​​rocket and parmesan, again with an exceptional taste. Congratulations to the kitchen and the courage to provide such good service even in an economically difficult reality like the hinterland. We will definitely be back!
