14/08/2025: Every course was a wow...actually, a whoop!! The favorite of all...the fregola (damn, the photo doesn't do it justice, so I won't upload it). An incredible explosion of flavors! All the freshest ingredients, flavors, and contrasts. The outdoor setting is pleasant, soft, well-lit, and furnished. Highly recommended. The only drawback (the reason for the missing star) is the time.... 10 minutes on the clock for someone to come and take your order, another 10 minutes (after requesting) for the bread (by the way....so good in its various shapes and flours!!!!!) and water. In short, after 1 hour and 15 minutes, only the fregola arrived. We booked at 9:30 PM (the place was full, and they deserved it), and left at 11:15 PM with 1 first course and 2 second courses. Too much, even though you should enjoy your vacation without rushing, you can't just feel the need to stretch your legs.

12/08/2025: Unfortunately, my experience at the restaurant wasn't a positive one. The atmosphere is very pleasant and well-maintained, but the service is practically non-existent. The waiters are curt and stern. I even asked for more wine to be added to my glass, and was very rudely told that was the amount for one glass. I would have appreciated it if they'd accommodated my request, or at most if they'd added a surcharge to the wine price! Plus, the wait for dishes was incredibly long... Regarding the quality of the food, there's nothing to complain about.

06/09/2025: For years, my partner, my son, and I have been lovingly going to Al Vecchio Mulino, and we highly recommend it! The fried calamari is second to none, as are many other dishes, always fresh and flavorful. During high season (when we can go!), it's advisable to book because, given the exceptional quality, the restaurant is always deservedly packed! The prices are fair! It's located in the heart of Alghero's charming historic center, so parking isn't very close; you have to walk a short distance to get there. The staff is friendly and helpful! 05/09/2025: Impossible to book. I've made I don't know how many calls. It's already been my second week! It won't make a difference to you if you have one more or one fewer customer, I know, but I expressed my opinion; that alone shows the quality of the service offered.

26/08/2025: Following all the positive reviews, we came to dine at this restaurant and it was indeed a very nice experience! We ate very well, the dishes are delicious and very generous. We had pizzas, seafood pasta and tiramisus, everything was perfect. The welcome was warm and the service very good. One of the best Sardinian restaurants we have been to! I highly recommend this place!

If you're visiting Costa Smeralda, this is an absolute must. Here, you don't just enjoy amazing food — you experience Sardinia with every spoonful of fregola. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! The Baltolu da Ottavio restaurant in Cannigione is a true jewel of Sardinian cuisine. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming and authentic, with that magic that makes you immediately feel at home. Every dish exudes tradition, but the fregola with seafood deserves a special mention: a celebration of the flavors of the sea and the land, like a Sardinian song recounting the wind, the sun, and the waves. 01/09/2025: There are 10 of us, and they put us at a table near the window in full sun, without air conditioning, even though there was plenty of room in the restaurant. We expected a minimal welcome with some appetizers, but nothing! Who knows!

03/09/2025: Very tidy hotel, spacious room, and comfortable beds. Very friendly reception staff. We had an early excursion, and they gave us breakfast before the scheduled time. Very attentive! Great location, just a few meters from the beach and also a few meters from the center for nightlife. Easy parking.

08/08/2025: Let's start with the good stuff. Excellent pizza, really good. The pizza menu is really varied. Prices are definitely reasonable. We weren't satisfied with the service. It was Tuesday, August 5th, at a table on the terrace. We were the first to arrive, but our orders were taken after two other tables arrived and taken first, so the service also came later. The same went for the mosquito coils; they were brought to the other tables, but we had to ask for them. Overall, we had a good experience and would recommend it (perhaps the inside dining rooms would be better to avoid mosquitoes).

04/08/2025: I had dinner at the Green Gallery and gave the restaurant a 5-star rating. I had the opportunity to try both the meat and fish; they had a spectacular rib-eye steak, and the pizza with octopus and purple potato was truly exquisite. The staff was friendly and efficient. Highly recommended!

12/08/2025: We had a wonderful experience at Ristorante Faro in Palau. We just finished our evening here, and it was simply perfect. Our table was number 3, one of the breathtaking "seafront" tables. The only downside is that it might get a bit crowded on a busy evening, especially given the noise from people passing by. However, since that's not their fault, I recommend enjoying the wonderful playlist that accompanied us throughout the dinner. The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, perfect for a special evening. The highlight is undoubtedly the food: We chose "pera vanitosa" (vanity pear) and "campagna sarda" (Sardinian countryside) as appetizers, and "oro della sardegna" (Sardinian gold) and "fregola del faro" (lighthouse fregola) for main courses, all delicious. Their selection of Sardinian dishes deserves special praise, and we were very pleased with them: a true celebration of authentic, traditional flavors, expertly prepared, generous portions, and magnificent combinations. A special thanks goes to the wait staff, who proved not only professional and attentive, but also incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They guided us in choosing the dishes and wines with great expertise, making our dinner even more enjoyable. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a high-end culinary experience in a unique setting, with a focus on Sardinian tradition.

31/08/2025: The food was good, and the server was friendly and attentive. All the orders were correct with a group of 9. We will be back again.

16/08/2025: I was here about two weeks ago. For our appetizer, we chose a dish that contained a pie we didn't like: it was doughy and the vegetables inside were cold. But that's just the taste... (even if it's not worth the price). The disgusting thing was not only looking at it, but paying for a plate of uncleaned calamari, photos of which I've attached. Needless to say, 14 euros wasted. Of all the waitresses, only one was kind and welcoming, the one with glasses and shorter hair than the other two.

14/08/2025: We visited this restaurant last July. It's very centrally located. We were worried we wouldn't find a table since you need to reserve for everything these days. Luckily, since they don't take reservations in advance, we found a table for two after just a few minutes of waiting. What can I say? We ate very well and spent very little for the quality of the food we were served. Everything we ordered was truly excellent: two appetizers, two main courses, half a liter of wine, and dessert. We were there two nights in a row. It's a shame our stay at La Maddalena was only for two days! We'll definitely be back!

23/08/2025: Welcomed by a guy who is not at all empathetic, if you choose catering it is a duty to be, first sentence: I can't find your reservation, second sentence: sit wherever you want but, that table is occupied 🤔, third sentence I warned you before you ordered... After all these niceties we ask for spaghetti, mussels and asparagus and... instead they bring pasta, ciccioneddus, I think that's what it's called, which was floating in something that wasn't even good oil. I'll stop here, we came with a different memory, now you're at the end

23/08/2025: Recommended! Excellent mixed antipasto. Excellent portion of calamari. Well-maintained restaurant, nestled in the pine forest with a sea view. Friendly and helpful staff.
