Sant'Elene In Dorgali

The review only refers to the restaurant, which is beautifully located on a mountain peak. The arduous climb is definitely rewarded with a spectacular view! When we arrived the tables were still being set, but we were still warmly welcomed and allowed to choose a table. For wine I had the sparkling Dorgalese rosé, my companion drank water. The starter platter with a selection of sausages and green olives was tasty, the various pasta dishes were well prepared, although the tomato sauce on the ravioli overpowered the taste of the cheese filling too much. The suckling pig (although we were only able to order it if we ordered it in advance) was incredibly good. Unfortunately, one dish (steak and fried potato slices) was completely forgotten and arrived late. The mixed fried fish plate that we had originally ordered was also forgotten, but that turned out to be an advantage because we were quickly full. The other forgotten dish was fine, although the steak really seems to be designed for ravenous guests as it is huge! Unfortunately, the fried potatoes that came with it were a bit thinly sliced ​​and greasy. Unfortunately, after the main course, the waiter didn't come to our table and the wine glass remained empty for a long time. A pity! The restaurant is well maintained (including the sanitary facilities, there is even a baby changing area), and the staff was very friendly. The older waiter even spoke some German. Unfortunately, something was missing for 5 stars, especially the attention that we received at the beginning of the visit could have been maintained. It's a busy place with good food, although we've had better food elsewhere.

Holidaying in Sardinia from the U.K. in mid June 2023, we stayed at this beautifully located 3 star hotel, near the town of Dorgali. The hotel is located approximately 10 minutes’ drive from Dorgali town centre.. There is parking within the hotel compound. We were warmly welcomed by Mariano, who checked us in. . Our room was spacious, comfortable, clean, with air conditioning - as was the bathroom. Breakfast was lovely, a good variety. This is a lovely hotel - in a tranquil location up a hill, overlooking the magnificent mountains. We had lunch and dinner in the restaurant, sitting both inside and the outside terrace.. From the outside terrace, the views of the mountains and Dorgali town are breathtaking, particularly at sunset. For lunch we had a variety of dishes - fish, meat and pasta. For dinner, we had pizza and pasta dishes. On both occasions we were warmly attended to by Francesco, who was helpful, friendly and professional. I recommend a stay at this hotel.

Ci siamo recati appositamente in questo locale, principalmente per i primi piatti che tanto ci erano piaciuti. Se pur buoni, è mancato quel sapore deciso, quella vivacità di gusto che tanto li contraddistingueva e caratterizzava (in primis i ravioli). Una nota di merito al personale di sala, sorridente e cordiale.

Excellent cuisine, Barbagia specialties with a touch of innovation. Good raw material. Especially tried the land dishes, all excellent. Friendly service and trained staff. Beautiful terrace overlooking Mount Bardia and a splendid valley. Advised.

Ho solo mangiato nel ristorante,ben eseguiti i colurgiones,ma conditi con troppo sugo che sovrastava il sapore del ripieno,mi hanno deluso i ravioli poco condimento all'interno.Antipasti buoni,a parte il porcetto sfilacciato ,noi in sardegna lo lavoriamo così quando ci avanza,per un sardo è un offesa presentarlo come antipasto.Nell insieme do una sufficienza scarsa,perché non ho il desiderio di tornare a mangiare da voi non mi ha stupito la vostra cucina,pietanze semplici che possiamo preparare a casa senza farica.Molto buona la seadas.Ho sempre il presentimento che negli agriturismi turistici non si dia il meglio ai turisti,e questo penalizza la sardegna e i nostri prodotti,il mio consiglio se vi fate pagare date sempre il meglio a tutti!!

Un pranzo ottimo a fine Agosto con un plauso particolare alla fregola di mare! Bellissima la vista dalla terrazza esterna e sala interna accogliente e familiare. Il personale gentilissimo e professionale! Esperienza da ripetere.

Pranzato con la mia famiglia a fine agosto; Vista spettacolare, piatti buoni e abbondanti; servizio cortese e rapido. Nulla di negativo e mangiato la migliore Saedas in Sardegna negli ultimi 4 anni.

Ci siamo fermati durante un giro della zona. Dalla terrazza si gode di una vista magnifica circondati dalle montagne. La pizza è proposta con vari prodotti locali come topping quindi non sono presenti i gusti tradizionali ma a noi questa scelta è piaciuta molto. È anche questo un modo per parlare del proprio territorio. Personale molto cortese.
