14/12/2024: We’ve spent a really nice moment in this cute restaurant. Superb service, all the mix of flavours on each plate was perfect. Very nice atmosphere. One small detail for some but important for me, their home-made bread & focaccia were delicious. Last but not least you should definitely try their « cannelé » which was excellent! Long story short, to try if you’re in Verbania’s area.

30/10/2024: We live on the lake and have tried every ice cream parlor - this one is by far the best. The ice cream is sensational – the selection is incredible. We especially recommend the chestnut ice cream, as well as Tiramisu/Zuppa Englese or Amaretto.

04/01/2025: Si mangia molto bene ma sono disorganizzati , o altro .. morale Prenoto per le 12 per 2. Arrivo e mi rimbalzano da una stanza all’altra . Mi fanno sentire come una che mente sulla prenotazione poi la Trovano e scopro che hanno dato il tavolo a due stranieri con bambino e cancellato il mio nome ! Ma che roba è??? Mio marito furente . Io incavolata nera . Poi mi richiamano e dicono che il mio tavolo era nell’altra sala ma Non era vero perché ci ero già passata . Non andrò più neanche in salumeria . Sono furente . Ma chi è il Direttore di sala ? Che gestione ha Eros ?? Mai mai mai più

30/12/2024: In coda per un tavolo, ci passa davanti un’altra coppia (evidentemente habitué del luogo). Lo faccio notare cortesemente al gestore che, con arroganza e ad altissima voce, mi risponde ridendo: “Non ho mica gli occhi di dietro! Auguri di buon anno!” Con un atteggiamento così maleducato, un locale del genere a Milano con la concorrenza che c’è rimarrebbe aperto una settimana. Ma a Verbania gode di grande fama, non ha concorrenza e si vede che ai loro clienti va bene così. Scrivo perché non è la prima volta che mi succede (ho casa nei dintorni): quest’estate al tavolo accanto al mio un cliente abituale fumava il sigaro (!!) e, alla mia rimostranza, sempre il solito gestore mi rispose che era arrivato prima lui! Si mangerà anche bene, per carità, ma per me l’educazione in un locale pubblico dove pago un servizio è fondamentale.

Since it was the first of the year, it was difficult to find something open but by doing research we immediately found the Osteria degli Specchi... a historic place with typical Piedmontese cuisine and affable and friendly management. Mrs. Monica welcomes you with kindness and honesty. The Plin ravioli and homemade gnocchi are delicious! We will happily return

04/01/2025: We found ourselves passing through and, intrigued by the online menu, we booked this Saturday for lunch for me, my partner and our dog. Very nice wooden place facing the lake, small and cozy. Attentive and kind staff, the dishes were very pleasant. The potato and mushroom pie on gorgonzola cream, the risotto with pork ragout and venison are highly recommended. Definitely a place worth returning to when passing through Verbania.

24/08/2024: I was here for the first time for an aperitif. Wide choice of drinks and an adequate accompaniment of appetizers. There was a nice crowd of people and the staff is young and kind. Very positive impression. I will return without a doubt.
