28/06/2025: Excellent dishes and perfect portions (I would even say abundant). Menu with various Piedmontese specialties. Staff really very kind and helpful. The restaurant is very close to the center and close to a parking lot. Excellent value for money.

13/07/2025: We went for a lunch in this nice place in Acqui Terme. Impeccable service, very friendly. Superb food and the wine that was suggested went very well with all the courses. Wonderful experience and when we will be back in the Piemonte, we will most certainly visit this place again.

12/07/2025: We had the pleasure of dining at Il Moncalvo Restaurant, located in the charming loggia of a historic 16th-century building in Acqui Terme. The location is simply enchanting: an elegant and timeless atmosphere that offers an immersive experience, perfectly balanced between history and refinement. We ordered two appetizers and two fish main courses: each dish was a pleasant discovery. The presentation was meticulous, almost artistic, and the flavor combinations were original and unexpected, a sign of careful, creative cuisine that respects the ingredients. The service made the evening even more enjoyable: the manager was friendly and helpful. Special praise also goes to the waitress, who was charming, affable, and attentive, always attentive but never intrusive. In short, Il Moncalvo proved to be a delightful discovery: a restaurant that combines quality cuisine, welcoming service, and a unique architectural setting. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a high-end dining experience in Acqui Terme. It feels like we're overlooking the fact that our big dog Byron was also chocolate and very welcome. --

02/07/2025: Small but welcoming place, quality raw materials well cooked, really exquisite and helpful owner, excellent quality/price ratio, highly recommended.

12/06/2025: After trying restaurants that were on paper more virtuous and with a garden/outdoor area, I took some French tourists to eat in a place known mostly for its farinata. Excellent tagliolini with truffle, a black truffle that immediately reaches your nose, for my personal taste perhaps I should have anticipated some fresh pasta a little more undercooked, tartare of Fassona with truffle and for dessert zabaglione with Moscato. We had a better time than in more formal places. Both for the food and for the service. Small sore point the broken bathroom sink (temporary problem) and I thought that having to pass in front of the oven turned on for the other sink was a bit inconvenient, but the French had fun. Account within the norm.

22/05/2025: Il Nuovo Ciarlocco è una di quelle rare gemme che lasciano il segno. Fin dal primo momento si viene accolti con un sorriso autentico e una cordialità che mette subito a proprio agio. Il personale è estremamente attento, disponibile ma mai invadente – un equilibrio impeccabile che rende il servizio davvero eccellente. Ottimo cibo e dettagli decisamente curati. Assolutamente consigliato – per una serata speciale, o semplicemente per riscoprire il piacere di mangiare bene e sentirsi a casa.

Don't go there... otherwise I won't find a place and you know what I'll do to you, right?!?!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

12/04/2025: Location that raised my expectations greatly. An enchanting garden that anticipates the entrance into an ancient villa, rich in history, where they certainly host evenings with live music (there is a piano near the entrance). Good service: the owner was kind and treated us kindly. Unfortunately I was disappointed by some dishes which could certainly be made more palatable.

27/06/2025: A wonderful novelty! I didn't know this place, and being in Acqui for work, I found it for lunch break. I will definitely come back here, when I'm passing by, I found a really good pizza, no defects, at an exceptional price! I can't wait to try the food and sandwiches too! Highly recommended place!!!
