21/12/2024: Gruppo di una quindicina di persone con adolescenti, cena prenotata con settimane di anticipo e menù concordato ci ritroviamo a dover dividere due miseri vassoi di risotto in 12 persone (i ragazzi sono stati più fortunati ne hanno avuto uno tutto per loro 8) la grigliata mista comportava uno stinco di maiale ogni 6 persone e forse un paio di costine. Appena passabile l'antipasto con affettati decisamente da supermercato porzioni ridotte e ridicole. Alla fine non volevano darci neppure il dolce sebbene lo avessimo concordato nel menu. Ci eravamo stati già altre volte sempre con lo stesso gruppo ma probabilmente non torneremo mai più. Veramente ridicole le porzioni. Prezzo oltre 45 euro a testa, compreso vino e acqua: sarebbe stato coerente se almeno avessimo potuto mangiare e non alzarci da tavola ancora affamati.

05/01/2025: Sorry, the conditions were excellent and the expectations were high. The reservation has been made and space for 3 small children has been anticipated. We arrived and placed the children in seats brought from home and already there the irritated staff murmured that it was not a place for children, perhaps convinced that we were deaf or something. Among other things, the children, being children in fact, laughed, and certainly did not speak in a low voice but did not hinder the work of the employees, so much so that in order not to disturb them we stood in a corner at the entrance to play with them. Moving on to the sore point, the hasty clearing of the table with the placement of the cake in the center and at the end, make do with the cutting. "How many coffees?" The message that was conveyed was the sooner you get out of the box, the better it is for us. In conclusion, I think that if you want to maintain a customer target where children are not welcome, you say so at the time of booking and one adapts, there are many restaurants where you can fortunately go, but when you accept children with child seats in the restaurant you cannot then complain because the tone of their voices is not the classic murmur of an adult having dinner, they are children and you can't force them to stay silent and silent, the takings probably mattered more than the pro forma. Definitely a place that I don't recommend in terms of service, especially if you have small children, food is up to taste and even if you aren't married to mine at all I prefer not to get angry. Never again!

14/01/2025: Seafood dishes in a mountain area, in these parts I expect a typical restaurant with traditional Ossola or mountain dishes, I was surprised to find many fish and seafood dishes, they were certainly good, but I preferred a traditional menu, I took the tagliolini with good mushrooms but with too much parsley and cherry tomatoes which covered the flavor of the mushrooms, good cut but not of excellent quality, prices a little high.

18/11/2024: Prima esperienza molto positiva; pranzo con amici, in un locale molto accogliente nel piccolo e tranquillo borgo di Oira. Servizio molto cordiale, personale gentile, disponibile. Buona scelta nel menù con ottimi primi piatti fatti in casa (in particolare abbiamo mangiato gli gnocchi alle ortiche, ravioli e risotti veramente ottimi). Molto apprezzati anche gli antipasti di salumi del territorio. Mi è piaciuta anche la scelta di stoviglie tipiche ossolane della Ceramica Kamares, per continuare la tradizione ossolana. Bravi!

Il gelato e fantastico personalmente preferisco il caramello salato, ma tutti i gusti a mio parere sono buonissimi. Il locale e accogliente, e sempre in ordine, questo permette di fermarsi e gustarsi il gelato con serenità senza avere l'ansia di finire in fretta. Per me ogni volta che vado ad Asti è una tappa obbligatoria. Provare per credere.

Well cooked local food and good wine. I can say that the food satisfied us. The service was also fast and courteous. Unfortunately, a big flaw was finding the place very poorly heated. Since it's winter... maybe we could do better.
