24/09/2025: You savor the end of the summer season, the kitchen in the hands of nothing and no one, the waiting staff suited to the mood of the moment.... It was a terrible experience, money wasted, terrible food, zero customer interest....

25/08/2025: We stumbled upon it by chance on August 16th, returning from a trip to the area. We weren't sure where to have lunch, and I must say we found a place that far exceeded our expectations. The outdoor veranda, overlooking the sea, is a beautiful location. It was very breezy on a super-hot day, and the view was breathtaking, with spectacular sea colors. The staff were very friendly, and the food was excellent and fresh. We'll definitely be back on our next vacation. Thank you for everything!

03/10/2025: The best place to eat in Maremma and beyond. The staff is as exquisite as the menu. Handmade pasta, cheeses, cured meats, and freshly baked tart... all accompanied by red wine and water. The atmosphere is family-friendly, like going to lunch at your aunt and uncle's. A truly pleasant discovery, we'll definitely be back.

10/09/2025: A memorable place... a day of bad weather while we were camping in Tuscany, I set out to find hidden restaurants in Maremma for a good lunch. What can I say? After miles of curves and ups and downs, we arrived at Becagli. Everything was truly excellent: the appetizers included fresh sausage, capocollo, Tuscan raw ham, finocchiona, and cheeses with jams. A trio of first courses included pappardelle with truffles and porcini mushrooms, the best Maremma tortelli, with thin pasta where you can finally taste the filling (we've tried others in other places these days), and gnocchi with porcini ragù. For second courses, we tried ossobuco with porcini mushrooms and roast veal and potatoes, finishing with a cherry tart and tiramisu. Spectacular!! Well done, and keep it up!!! 💪💪💪

14/10/2025: Lunch was booked in advance, with a pre-arranged menu. The dishes arrived very slowly, and a main course had to be changed because a meat order was missing. The food was generally good, but the service was poor, with unprofessional staff.

12/10/2025: I was in Loreto and I went to lunch at Alvaro's, a quiet and very homely atmosphere, just how I like it. The guy is very kind and competent. I ate very well and I highly recommend it.

13/10/2025: I had to book a table for two three weeks in advance, so that boded well, especially considering all the positive reviews I'd read. Maybe I was unlucky, but I was very disappointed. I can barely pass the appetizers and gnocchi. The homemade tagliatelle are okay, but they don't put sliced ​​raw mushrooms on them as if they were truffles—I assume they were porcini mushrooms, but it wasn't clear. The main course and dessert were awful. The fried lamb was like okra, so you could tell it had been fried in stale oil. The meat was a ciabatta, all frozen stuff from a supermarket, since I saw frozen lamb ribs being pulled out of a box from the kitchen window. Dessert didn't even satisfy my cravings. All this for 70 euros per couple, a menu that, if it were worth much, was max. 50 euros, but I will never go to places with fixed menus again, and it's like going to the canteen, plus we who don't drink wine pay for the others too, as I repeat after 100 km I expected more, but it's my fault, I can't always listen to my friends

07/09/2025: A wonderful restaurant for a traditional menu. Excellent antipasto with trippa, lumache, and coradella di agnello, followed by delicious gnocchi and tagliatelle, complemented by a delicious platter of costolette di agnello, coniglio, and salsicce. Dolce and coffee for dessert. Excellent food in a pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommended!

11/09/2025: I think this restaurant is the best in all of Civitanova Mare. We had the vegetarian burger, sea bream tartare, and sea amberjack. The burger was nothing short of fabulous, both in flavor and texture—characteristics, for a vegetarian dish, that are not at all easy to find! The other two dishes were exquisite, fresh, and worthy of a Michelin-starred restaurant! Kudos to all the staff for their courtesy, kindness, and for even bringing treats and a bowl of water for our dogs! Truly 10 stars, not just 5. Highly recommended!

04/09/2025: A rotisserie in Porto Recanati. They welcomed us warmly despite the Sunday lunch rush, and we found a table for a quick lunch. Everything was delicious, especially the fried fish. Top.

04/09/2025: After eating fried fish at several restaurants in the area, I decided to order it here and bring it back to my apartment. The turning point: they prepare it fresh, perfectly cooked and incredibly crispy. Highly recommended for both the quality and the price 🔝

20/10/2025: A hidden gem, but a 5-star restaurant from Olter. Both for the kindness of the staff and the food and service. The grilled lamb was tender and flavorful. The vegetable and legume soup paired with bruschetta, cheese, and sauces was superb. An experience worth repeating and a must-try for future occasions.

09/10/2025: We stumbled upon this osteria by coincidence during a business trip along the Strada Statale 78 Picena, which leads to Ascoli Piceno. The exterior of "L'Osteria del Castello" is undoubtedly unattractive. From the start, we felt a bit unpretentious. My friend from Naples kept telling me it looked like a restaurant with little character. However, we would soon discover the exact opposite! First and foremost, I'd like to mention the kindness of the owner herself, a "madam" with a big heart, devoted body and soul to her profession! While we waited, she offered us a basket of local walnuts. Later, seeing as the other customers were enjoying their meal for a long time, she offered us a small platter of cured meats and cheeses, along with various compotes to match—a friendly and sincere gesture that was greatly appreciated! To cut a long story short, all the dishes we ate were beautifully presented and of good quality. Quantity is the highlight of this osteria, which I highly recommend for its authentic flavors and the chef's passion. Very fair prices!

26/09/2025: Great spot for aperitivo, morning coffee or evening gelato. Delicious selection of aperitivo snacks that vary every day. Friendly staff, great service and vibe.

21/09/2025: Good cafe with delicious sandwiches and other things that are also available between 2:00 PM 🕑 and 7:30 PM 🕢.

07/09/2025: Not recommend if you are not local. They try to look like Michelin star restaurant, but: Ask for reservation, find "1 free table", but at the end of evening still at least 3 tables free. Roof in the room? But not match other half of serving room. Plastic shelf under air condition. Atmospehere just cold. Service not so great they try to look like. Truly, food was good but all above spoil the impression.

26/08/2025: I went one evening with friends and family and we were very satisfied: the raw seafood was excellent, the local appetizers were excellent (too many, haha), and the first courses were also good! The owner was always attentive and friendly, as was the young man who served us, who was friendly and very knowledgeable in explaining the dishes. Highly recommended!

15/09/2025: A simply wonderful restaurant; everything is perfect, from the location, the decor, the kindness of the waiters, and of course the delicious food. There were five of us, and we shared three different appetizers, three first courses, two different second courses, and a couple of side dishes, and not a single dish was anything less than exceptional. We left after two hours so happy and satisfied that we promised ourselves we'd return to Ascoli Piceno specifically to eat here again. I'd like to give a special standing ovation to the first courses (especially the gnocchi alla norcina), but as I said, every dish was delicious. We noticed great attention to the quality of the ingredients used and their pairing in the dishes. I also want to highlight the great professionalism and kindness of all the waiters; even though the place was packed, with a huge table of a basketball team, they always treated us with a smile and a calm attitude, without making a single mistake. 13/09/2025: One of the best restaurants (unmatched value for money) I've ever been to. Delicious food, a rustic-elegant atmosphere typical of the area, and the girl who served us was friendly and welcoming. If you're ever in Ascoli Piceno, this place is a must-visit.
